My name is Ido. On this podcast I attempt to get just a little Weiser Every Day by keeping an open mind, remembering that there will always be something new to learn and that the person in front of me is always worth listening to. I have conversations wit
I had the outmost honor speaking with Dr. Peter Langman about the deeply disturbing issue of school shooters, mass violence perpetrators and the psychology behind them. Dr. Langman dedicated many years to the research of school shooters. He helped law enforcement and schools establish threat assessment programs and took part in treating and rehabilitating individuals who were identified at some point as potential threats and after proper treatment went to live a life past those concerns. Dr. Langman published multiple books on the subject as well as many articles which you can find links to below. Dr. Langman encourages focusing on solving the problem at the core (early identification and treatment) along side putting our efforts at what to do when a shooting is already happening. Had the honor of speaking to Julian Sarafian. Julian blasted through his academic runway, graduated Berkeley in 3 years and eventually went to Harvard Law as well as practiced corporate law in a top tier firm for 2.5 years before he suddenly decided to leave it all behind. I will leave it to him to tell you what made him change course. Our conversation was saturated with hot topics and included the backwards definition we have on what success means in modern society, the affects social media has on our lives and how it has been evolving, our attention as the ultimate currency, the pros and cons of anonymity and many more interesting topics. I hope you enjoy getting to know Julian as much as I did. I had a very good time talking to Bon Jenn about crypto, web 3, the crazy hype around NFT's and more. We covered subjects such as regulation in the crypto space, how we think that 99% of NFT projects are going to get vaporized, VR vs AR, the affects of all this on our dopamine and more. Bon is extremely grounded and responsible with his coverage of the space unlike many content creators covering crypto these days. It's been such a pleasure having Katie on the podcast, a conversation I have been eager to have. We talked about hiring mistakes, generational differences in employees and employers, the importance of character, how having colorful hair styles are not an indication for lack of seriousness, working from home, and so much more. Significant changes and developments to the way we think about the workforce are unfolding as we speak and Katie gets to be right in the middle of it. Katie Spadoro owns and operates CYB Human Resources and she is taking a fresh approach to business owners and managers who are seeking guidance in this fast paced economy. Katie is bridging the gap between the managerial level and the employee in many ways including structuring a “people first” culture in businesses who later reap the benefits of happy, motivated and properly compensated employees. At a time when it seems acceptable to not invite family members over for the holiday on the basis of a political disagreement, at a time when cancel culture had grown as popular as it is. It was refreshing to converse with comedian Toni Nagy. Toni uses humor and art to disarm viewers as she presents them with what most would consider, difficult subjects. Whether you agree with Toni on a particular topic or not, her TikTok videos make you laugh which is a good start and possibly consider looking at a subject you were stuck on without true ground to be so, in new light. I personally believe that having the ability to conduct civil, honest and empathetic conversations within ourselves is a requirement for happiness and the success of our society's future. Toni, is another example that it's possible. We lost the ability to be courageous in conversation and not by chance. So what will you do about it? Bryan is my long time friend. He is one of my favorite people to converse with and a constant reminder for me that civil discourse is not lost. Before he started flying drones for a living he was making guitar pedals, helped operate machines that can literally cut concrete with water jet and many other exciting and out of the ordinary jobs.
