Send us Fan MailAaron, Trent, and Peaches are back in the team room, and this one starts with Tasty Gains, UFC at the White House, soccer, Nitro Circus, sketchy bungee jumping, and somehow ends exactly where it needed to: Air Force Special Warfare pipeline standards. The crew gets into a reported Zulu course ruck event involving a 12-mile ruck at a 15-minute pace with a ruck weighing well over the standard 45 pounds. That turns into a bigger conversation about assessment and selection, training standards, instructional drift, normalized deviance, and why “war is hard” is not a good enough reason to create dumb training events. They also talk about the difference between expectations and standards, why evaluated events need to have a real purpose, why students should not be crushed just because previous generations got crushed, and how pipeline events can drift away from their original intent over time. Also covered: UFC 250, America's 250th, US soccer, Travis Pastrana, Dwayne Hackney's Air Force Cross story, Weapon School patch night, fighter pilot culture, and why Peaches probably does not need to do a 117-pound ruck to prove anything. If you are training for Air Force Special Warfare, waiting to ship, currently in development, or just interested in how military training standards should actually work, this episode matters.Check out Tasty Gains:TastyGains.comTrain with Modern Athlete Strength Systems:OnesReady.comOperator Training Summit:OperatorTrainingSummit.comJoin the Ones Ready membership for early access, members-only episodes, and exclusive merch.Chapters:00:00 - Ones Ready Intro01:05 - Tasty Gains Nootropics and Creatine Gummies02:42 - Modern Athlete Strength Systems and AFSOC Prep04:03 - Ones Ready Membership and MBRS-Only Episodes05:21 - Welcome Back With Aaron, Trent, and Peaches05:30 - UFC 250, the White House, and Fat People07:28 - US Soccer, Paraguay, and World Cup Energy10:58 - Nitro Circus at the White House11:11 - UFC Weather Rumors and Fight Delays12:25 - Drunk UFC Weigh-Ins and Bit or Real?14:24 - Getting Fooled by Satire Online15:34 - Trent Threatens Aaron's Tattoos16:02 - Bungee Jumping Disaster and Vacation Risk18:21 - Show and Tell Goes Off the Rails20:00 - Faces of Death, LiveLeak, and Old Internet Trauma22:19 - Air Force A&S and Zulu Course Updates22:50 - The Reported 117-Pound Zulu Ruck24:20 - Why Exceeding the Standard Is Not the Standard26:39 - Weapon School Patch Night and Fighter Pilot Culture28:24 - What It Means to Be a Weapons Patch30:20 - American Pie and Fighter Pilot Roll Call Chaos33:10 - Institutional Drift in the Pipeline34:48 - Dry Weight, Helmets, and Student Gear35:10 - Zulu Is Training, Not Selection36:17 - Why 100-Pound Rucks Are Not Smart Training37:53 - When Heavy Rucks Might Make Sense39:11 - This Is Not a Normal Pipeline Standard41:19 - What Should Candidates Train For?42:27 - AFSPECWAR Wait Times and IFT Scores43:14 - Travis Pastrana and Red Bull Madness44:33 - What If You Jump Without a Parachute?46:39 - Dwayne Hackney's Air Force Cross Story48:24 - Vietnam-Era Pararescue Stories49:31 - Weapon School Graduation and Space Force PSD51:19 - Evaluated Events Need a Real Purpose52:07 - Buddy Breathing and Operational Relevance52:30 - OFT Ruck Standard vs. Zulu Course Ruck54:25 - Normalized Deviance and the Monkey Story57:29 - Training Wing, Please Fix This58:31 - Final Thoughts and Wrap-UpSupport the showJoin this channel to get access to perks: HEREBuzzsprout Subscription page: HERERegister for our Operator Training Summit: OperatorTrainingSummit.comFind an Air Force Recruiter: AirForce.comCollabs:Ones Ready - OnesReady.com 18A Fitness - Promo Code: ONESREADY ATACLete - Follow the URL (no promo code): ATACLeteDanger Close Apparel - Promo Code: ONESREADYDFND Apparel...

Travis Pastrana is a 17-time X Games gold medalist, multi-discipline motorsport champion, and the founder of Nitro Circus. He grew up in a Maryland construction family steeped in military service and contact sports, won his first outdoor national championship at 16, bought a house the same year, and has spent the decades since competing in everything from supercross to rally to NASCAR to base jumping. He has had two knee replacements, a hip replacement, over 30 concussions, and once turned 40 fractures across seven bones in his foot into dust on an X Games landing. We got into what it actually means to make decisions at speed — treating cliffs and trees like traffic cones when everyone else backs off. His Daytona 500 run. The NASCAR race where every teammate crashed out and his daughter read him the riot act for finishing 15th. What happened when a group from a certain Army unit showed up at his place and every single one of them landed a backflip on a dirt bike within two tries. The concussion research that found his brain operates differently than most. His seven-year-old daughter telling him she doesn't want to be the best at anything because the people chasing greatness don't seem happy. And the massive open-air wind tunnel he bought from a Mission Impossible set that he can't afford to power. We'd love to have your feedback and ideas for future episodes of Retail Unwrapped. Just text us!Here's an interesting fact: 1.6 million tradespeople trust their friends over impersonal brands. And here's why: Most workwear brands claim they understand their customers, but they're designing products by committee in the boardroom and based on their P/L. Join Shelley and Eric Gerard who discuss how he built his BRUNT Workwear brand with the people who actually wear the work gear. They reveal how BRUNT was launched by childhood friends brought up in a blue-collar manufacturing town. Unlike Eric and his colleagues, the workwear industry has forgotten who it serves and would be better served by paying attention to what happens when customers help design their own products. BRUNT eliminated PFAS from water-resistant fabrics before regulations required it, positioning the brand ahead of market demands while legacy competitors are still scrambling to reformulate. BRUNT stays close to its customers, outfitting the New England Patriots field crew this season, partnering with unique talent like Diesel Dave who tricks out trucks and professional motocross athlete Travis Pastrana. It's also a mainstay in rally racing, NASCAR, and automotive stunt performance. BRUNT's Bucket Talk is “a monthly podcast that takes listeners across America to meet the “most badass tradespeople, industry leaders and personalities.” Growing from an initial 110 stores to 858 doors nationwide while maintaining its brand integrity proves that authentic products are relevant and can scale when you understand your local communities and customers. Guest: Eric Girouard, Founder + CEO at BRUNT WorkwearFor more strategic insights and compelling content, visit TheRobinReport.com, where you can read, watch, and listen to content from Robin Lewis and other retail industry experts, and be sure to follow us on LinkedIn and Twitter.
With the release of the latest Gymkhana video, Aussie Shred, we get to see the newest Vermont Sports Car creation in action at the hands of Travis Pastrana. When we last had Dewey, Art, and Smeedia on the podcast, the suggestion was made that we should talk about these new VSC cars because there is a bit of a question about whether or not they are actually Subarus. Why is this important? We get into exactly this in this episode, and we talk about what Subaru and VSC are doing with these cars, and...If Subaru is going to be showcasing their classic cars, shouldn't they do more to support those older models? There were technical difficulties with this recording as my internet decided to stop working, so we didn't get to finish the conversation, but this was too good to throw in the bin.So this is the first 2 parts of a 3 part conversation, and now we just need to find time to get Dewey, Art, and Smeedia back on to wrap things up.Thanks for watching and Stay Tuned!

In this episode, Jim Beaver sits down with Matt Martelli for a deep dive into one of the most unconventional careers in modern motorsports. He breaks down his first big break with Red Bull Global Rallycross, the rise of Star Car, his relationships with icons like Ken Block and Travis Pastrana, and the B2B backbone that actually keeps motorsports alive. This is a wide-open conversation about racing, media, culture, sponsorship, eSports, and the future of off-road — told by someone who's been in every corner of it. If you care about where the sport is headed, or how to build something from nothing, this episode is required listening.

Driving Vision Podcast: From Setbacks to Speed—Rally Driver Rhianon Gelsomino on Resilience, Risk & Rising to the TopThis week, we go backstage at Zeigler Honda in Kalamazoo with VP of Talent Development Mike Van Ryn and special guest Rhianon Gelsomino—world-class Subaru Rally co-driver and partner to motorsport legend Travis Pastrana.Rhi's story is nothing short of extraordinary: from growing up in a motorsport family, to overcoming devastating accidents that left her learning to walk again, to carving out her place as one of the best in a male-dominated industry.
Did you guys know about this one? I didn't!In 2018, as part of the Nitro Circus Live tours, the crew rolled into Paris and had one of the biggest competitions that never happened. As comps go, we think of X Games, X-Fighters, Night of the Jumps or even Nitro World Games. But this time in 2018, with Tom Pages present on his home turf, Travis Pastrana and the crew set about creating one of the biggest comps that was really just for the Paris crowd on the night.Until now, Clint Esposito and I have our grubby little hands on some epic footage thanks to John Mathews giving us a heads up. And it was pretty epic!Bilko with the One-handed Nac 360, Tom casually throwing body varials and Travis landing his Double Backy 360 on pedal power.Riders in:Travis PastranaBlake WilliamsJosh SheehanTom PagesGregg DuffyAdam JonesHarry BinkJarryd McNeilBeau BambergJaie TooheyRyan WilliamsBeaver FlemingDusty WygleJed MildonTodd MeynMatt WhyattAndy Buckworth
Cameron Steele joins us for Chapter 375! Cam has lived every facet of the action sports life — from growing up watching his dad race trucks, to racing motocross in his youth, freeriding, and riding in the early days of Freestyle Motocross. He went on to land a commentating gig, building an incredible career in action sports, from calling some of the biggest X Games moments — like Travis Pastrana's double backflip — to becoming a voice on ESPN and covering legendary off-road events like the Baja 1000. But Cam hasn't just commentated at Baja — he's raced it numerous times on both two and four wheels, and still competes today in his truck, racing through the deserts of Mexico. What makes Cameron stand out is how he carries himself and gives back, channeling the positive energy from off-road racing into sharing the stoke with others, supporting communities, and helping those less fortunate.Cam is a stand-up guy, and we're stoked to finally have him on the podcast — this one was a long time coming. Send us a textFrom a two-year-old denied a plastic toy car to racing alongside Travis Pastrana in Saudi Arabia, Gray Leadbetter's journey through motorsports defies all expectations. With no family racing background whatsoever, Gray carved her own path through sheer determination and a natural talent that was evident from the moment she first climbed onto a four-wheeler.Gray's story is remarkable not just for her racing accomplishments—which include winning a championship in her first year of truck racing—but for how she's navigated the unique challenges of growing up at racetracks rather than in classrooms. When traditional schooling became impossible due to her intense travel schedule, she enrolled in On Track School, completing her education online while crisscrossing the country for competitions. By age 12, she was flying solo to training sessions in Arizona, displaying a maturity and independence that continues to define her approach to racing. Now competing in Pro Light trucks in the Champ Off Road series, Gray brings a refreshingly levelheaded perspective to a high-pressure sport. Rather than overthinking before races, she deliberately keeps her mind clear until moments before the green flag. "If you're not having fun," she says, "why do it?" This philosophy has served her well through the inevitable highs and lows of racing, from championship victories to mechanical failures and crashes.Perhaps most inspiring is Gray's role as a trailblazer for young women in motorsports. While she doesn't dwell on gender barriers—"Once you put a helmet on, you're a driver, it doesn't matter who you are"—she acknowledges the special connection she shares with the girls who visit her pit area. They see in her what's possible when passion meets opportunity, regardless of background or tradition. What's next for this rising star? While she's focused on her current truck racing season, Gray dreams of someday racing a Porsche 911 GT3 at the Daytona 24 Hours. Based on everything she's accomplished before her 21st birthday, it would be unwise to bet against her making that dream come true. This week on the Black Rifle Coffee Podcast, we have a special Father's Day Episode! Logan Stark sits down with none other than Travis Pastrana and his dad, Robert Pastrana. From Marine Corps boxing stories and busted knuckles to raising one of the most fearless athletes on the planet, this episode dives deep into family, grit, and the lessons that shaped a legend. Robert shares the tough love approach that built resilience in Travis from a young age, think mile-a-day rules, broken bones, and go-karts at two years old. Meanwhile, Travis opens up about the wild stunts, near-death moments, and how his dad's “rub some dirt on it” mentality molded his mindset. Whether you're a fan of Nitro Circus or want to know what it's like being raised by a no-nonsense Marine, this conversation is packed with gold. Stories from the military, raising a daredevil, and why passion always beats pressure. You don't want to miss this high-octane ride through discipline, family legacy, and full-throttle living.

We dive into how he transitioned from a fan to a leader in the sport, the challenges of scaling Team O'Neil, and his role in founding the American Rally Association (ARA). Chris also discusses the mental discipline of rally driving, why rally is one of the best training grounds for all motorsports, and his vision for the future of rally in the U.S. Whether you're into stage rally, off-road racing, or just love a good underdog story, this episode is packed with insight and inspiration.

We also explore how Fabio feels about fame and discuss the opportunities it brings like riding a MotoGP bike with Dani Pedrosa, passengering in an F1 car with Max Verstappen and thrashing Can-Am buggies with Travis Pastrana. Of course, we talk all things YouTube and content creation, including a behind-the-scenes look at his incredible Streif edit, where he tackled jumps at over 100kph with a spiked tire spinning inches below him.
