Welcome to Databank Brawl Rewind! Databank Brawl was a series that ran on ForceCenter from 2016 to 2020 and it remains one of our more beloved shows. Though Databank Brawl is on hiatus, we wanted to celebrate it along with the longtime listeners of the podcast and reintroduce it to the ForceCenter listeners who began listening to the podcast after the end of the show's run. Though all of the episodes remain on our podcast feed it can be daunting to scroll back and find them, so we're launching Databank Rewind. Here's your chance to go back to those episodes week-by-week and laugh with us at old jokes, memorable moments, unforgettable guests, and, yeah, old microphones, recordings, and perhaps some Star Wars predictions that came true alongside many that most certainly did not. Databank Brawl -- where Star Wars characters are plucked from the entries of the StarWars.com databank and forced to fight it out in an off-the-cuff podcast moderated by Joseph Scrimshaw. It's time to fight...From the minds of Ken Napzok (comedian, host of The Napzok Files), Joseph Scrimshaw (comedian, writer, host of the Obsessed podcast), and Jennifer Landa (actress, YouTuber, crafter, contributor on StarWars.com) comes the ForceCenter Podcast Feed. Here you will find a series of shows exploring, discussing, and celebrating everything about Star Wars. Subscribe on Apple Podcasts and Google Podcasts. Similar to how we did back in Episode 34, we're taking another trip into the brilliant short story collection within "From a Certain Point of View: The Empire Strikes Back" and reviewing two more stories. First, we'll dive into Yoda's point of view in a story titled "The First Lesson", in which he sees Luke for the first time on Dagobah, and so begins their lessons together. Second, things get a little darker with Admiral Piett's point of view when he witnesses Vader without his helmet in a story titled "For The Last Time." Two totally different stories, two totally different points of view, and two amazingly-written tales we absolutely *loved* dissecting together. We'll pull quotes from our favorite moments in both stories and investigate the feelings and emotions behind the characters and what they're experiencing within the story itself. We love this collection and look forward to doing more story break-downs in the future! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/most-things-kenobi/support

We laughed, we cried, and Alan almost died on Episode 73 of Idiot's Array. Alan, Mark, and Ryder start this episode by discussing the new Star Wars: Resistance trailer. What did we like and what are we looking forward to? Then the show goes out of bounds as we talk about many of our listeners responses to #StarWarsASportsMovie. Also, Ryder does his best to ruin the show with an Admiral Piett discussion and some personal stories. This episode may not look like much, but it's got it where it counts, kid. Contact us! Clutching desperately at his throat, Captain Needa slumps down, then falls over on his back, at the feet of Darth Vader. Two stormtroopers pick up the lifeless body and carry it quickly away as Admiral Piett and two of his captains hurry up to the Dark Lord. Guest commentator: Stuart Wellington
Vader stands in the back control area of his ship's bridge with a motley group of men and creatures. Admiral Piett and two controllers stand at the front of the bridge and watch the group with scorn. Guest commentator: Chris Radtke

Join me for a fourth helping of the Star Wars saga, this time dismantling the best film of the series. I examine Luke's story within the film and within the saga, as well as Vader's. I analyze Han and Leia's story as a romantic tragedy hors d'oeuvre that barely connects to the real story. And I compare the film to the prequels, Casablanca, adventure serials of the 1930s, samurai and western movies, Flash Gordon, and The Karate Kid. I try to determine the timeline, point out John Ratzenberger, and do stunningly life-like impressions of George Lucas and Darth Vader. I psychoanalyze Yoda and question Lando's sexuality. Courting controversy, I declare my love for ewoks, root for Admiral Piett to retire to a villa on the Black Sea, and imagine daily life for stormtroopers. And I confidently assert that Han and Leia closed the deal by the time they met Vader at Cloud City.
