Ever since Andor finished streaming, there isn't much urgency for Star Wars news because the next projects won't be available until next year. Live action movies and shows will eventually start promotional campaigns, but we're still living in a "post-Andor" world and the show is advertising itself for awards. There's still news for collectors, gamers, and Disney park fans, but there's certainly a summer lull, especially since we just had a Star Wars Celebration in April and comic cons won't have much news to reveal, unless it concerns the animated series, comics, novels, or collectibles and maybe, just maybe, new video games.Andor is done, but maybe shouldn't be, Ahsoka is shooting, but a long time coming, and there's finally a map to help you "astrogate" the galaxy. Listen or watch the audio visualization if you want to find out how to contact the podcast to tell us how great we are or how much you like to hate listen/watch. Feel free to take part in contributing ideas and commenting on our podcasts, on YouTube, Amazon's podcast portal, Apple podcasts, Spotify, or even Discord. May the Force be with us!

Send us a textIt's Christopher Nolan's palindromic reverse-athon “Tenet” under the review microscope this week. Perversely, the boys may not actually know what they are talking about for once. But before we get into that, there's some Star Wars news to be had, which gives Hutch another excuse to talk about Andor, and more R rated content.Steff takes us through a frankly spartan Last Chance Cinema Club section, before giving Hutch his customary two choices for next week's episode. You can contact us at:podcast@2ndchancecinemaclub.comWe can be found on:Instagram - @2ndchancecinemaclub

Andor is some of the best television Disney Plus has produced and is almost assuredly the best Star Wars product on the platform. Ahsoka is up next, but is easily a year away.Jake Tropper is probably hard at work on the Star Wars: Starfighter movie now that Your Friends & Neighbors has concluded a first season on Apple TV Plus. Rian Johnson said he wants to revisit Star Wars (Nooooo!). Popcorn buckets came to Florida's Disney Parks. Collectibles are still being announced almost a month after Star Wars Day. Fortnite has one more week of content from a galaxy far, far away, and there's a new VR game coming...eventually.May sometimes has a bit more in store for our news updates, but every now and then all the big news comes out in April, as it seemed to do this year. Send us a textJourney to the dark corners of the galaxy where morality blurs and legends are born. Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld delivers six interesting animated episodes that unearth the origins and continued journeys of two fan-favorite antagonists: the former Sith assassin Asajj Ventress and the notorious bounty hunter Cad Bane.Ventress returns from death itself, resurrected by the Nightsisters of Dathomir under a mysterious condition – she must live without her "heart's desire." What does this enigmatic curse mean as she navigates a post-Order 66 galaxy helping force-sensitive children escape Imperial clutches? For readers of the novel Dark Disciple, this continuation provides tantalizing connections while introducing new questions about her relationship with Jedi Master Quinlan Vos and the underground network known as "The Path."Meanwhile, Cad Bane's story takes us back decades to the mean streets of Duros, where a young orphan named Colby and his best friend Nero scrounge for survival. The devastating transformation from desperate street kid to the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter unfolds with Western-inspired flair, culminating in a heart-wrenching showdown that cements Bane as one of Star Wars' most compelling villains. The anthology format allows each character study to breathe while connecting to the broader Star Wars tapestry. We debate whether these tales strike the perfect balance between standalone stories and continuing narratives, comparing this collection to previous anthologies Tales of the Jedi and Tales of the Empire. Rich character development, stunning animation, and thoughtful connections to established lore make this essential viewing for fans seeking deeper understanding of the complex personalities who operate in the shadows.Subscribe, leave a five-star "crunchy" review, and join us next week as we continue exploring the stories that shape our favorite fictional universes!Twitter handles:Project Geekology: https://twitter.com/pgeekologyAnthony's Twitter: https://twitter.com/odysseyswowDakota's Twitter: https://twitter.com/geekritique_dakInstagram:https://instagram.com/projectgeekology?igshid=1v0sits7ipq9yYouTube:https://www.youtube.com/@projectgeekologyGeekritique (Dakota):https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCBwciIqOoHwIx_uXtYTSEbATwitch (Anthony):https://www.twitch.tv/odysseywowSupport the show
