In 2019 after 9 films the Skywalker Saga seemingly came to a close with The Rise of Skywalker. We've covered the Prequels. Then the Clone Wars & Star Wars Stories. After came the Original Trilogy before moving onto The Force Awakens and Last Jedi in the Sequel Trilogy. Join us as we take a look back at a film that had saw many feeling a collective sense of "meh" upon its release, but time can be both hard and kind. Where did we sit then? How do we feel about it now? Secrets only the Sith know? Time to join Rey, Finn, Poe and Chewbacca for one more ride.

Let's dive into an alternate timeline, where Mace Windu is appointed by Master Yoda to train Anakin Skywalker just after the events of Episode 1 The Phantom Menace. It only makes sense that Mace Windu who knew how to balance the light and dark sides of the force should teach the troubled youth. Let's see how this plays out. Learn more about your ad choices. Today's episode will cover something I found to be interesting in the comic series Obi wan and Anakin, issue number 1. During Anakin's teenage years after episode 1, he was practicing at the Jedi Temple with a hologram training droid that he altered to look, move, and attack just like Darth Maul. As he practiced his moves and showcased his abilities, students and jedi alike watched in interest from the sides. However, from the balcony above, Obi Wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Chancellor Palpatine (Darth Sidiolus) observed the young Anakin in admiration, speaking of him as palpatine asked many questions. As Obi Wan answered Master Windu's confusion as to why the boy was fighting what looked like Darth Maul, exclaiming he always porposed detailed questions for him about their duel on Naboo, Palpatine interrupted as he said come now, my jedi friends, a boy of his age altering a training droid in this way, simply to impress his teachers? I would say that is more than unexpected. I would call it…Impressive. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
In Star Wars, force sensitives are only through sentient beings...however what if one were a Droid? That's the case in this legends story, how the Force Sensitive droid Skippy was able to save the entire Star Wars Galaxy in A New Hope, and we didn't even know it! Once he saw Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, and the Stormtroopers to come...he knew what he had to do... Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hey everyone, our fan fiction story today entails the what if scenario you all wanted me to cover, and that is, what if Darth Maul beat obi-wan and Qui-Gon Jinn in episode 1? Then what if he trained Anakin as his new apprentice. Having heard the Emperor's story of how his master, Darth Plagueis created the chosen one, he decided to train him to grow into the prodigy he was meant to become, ultimately eventually working together to overthrow the Emperor and rule the Galaxy, following the sith rule of 2. Well folks, the day has arrived at long last. The day TJ has been dreading ever since we first covered A New Hope. The movie that pulled a Babu Frik and erased TJ's brain. And of course. We had to do it to him on his birthday. Threepio won't have to give us the odds on how this episode will go. Between the two of us, we have more notes than an organic chemistry exam, which means JJ and Chris Terrio will have to see us after class. Colleen, Daniel and Anders start diving into the non-Skywalker Star Wars films with 2008's The Clone Wars. We may vary a little on how Ahsoka Tano was introduced to us, but we definitely agree that she's one of the most consequential and interesting characters in Star Wars. Critique du film Star Wars : L’ascension de Skywalker (Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker)
It’s a week of extravagant and insane spectacles on Breakfast All Day, and we are here for all of it. Alonso, Matt and Christy had way too much fun reviewing the truly bizarre, star-studded musical “Cats” as well as the movie we’ve all been waiting a lifetime to see, “Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.” We spend a lot of time on this one, since it’s theoretically the end of the franchise (or at least this segment of the saga), including an in-depth spoiler discussion starting at the 58-minute mark, so only listen to that part once you’ve seen the film. In between, we catch up with “In Fabric,” a deliciously dark and lurid thriller about a cursed dress. And over at our Patreon, we discuss the tremendous season finale of “Watchmen” and episodes 6 and 7 of “The Mandalorian.” (We’ll be back early next week to wrap up “The Morning Show” and “His Dark Materials” if you’ve been following along with our recaps of those shows, too.) Thanks for spending some time with us during the holidays!

Our very own version of C3PO and R2D2, talk about the excitement of episode 9 and have a guess at what could be coming.

Jim & Ted had a busy weekend with Jim riding the 100 mile loop of the Figueroa Mountain Gran Fondo. The crew celebrated Ted's birthday at Fess Parker winery on Sunday, and Monday was Veteran's Day. This past Tuesday was the release of Disney+, so what better way to commemorate than to replay episode 85 where Jim and Ted had a great discussion about the new Disney platform.
This week finally saw release of the final trailer for the final film in the Skywalker Star Wars saga, finally. The trailer gave little away in terms of plot, but did it do enough to get Jads and Charles hyped for this final film in this new trilogy? It's been a rocky road to get here - and sadly we're not talking about the delicious dessert. Also this week, we talk about what we'd like to see in the rumoured upcoming Batman: Arkham Legacy video game, plus Nerdlines and tracks of the week.

Summer is here, and that means it's a time for two things-----blockbusters and shark movies. It's no secret that we have been longtime fans of Collider Jedi Council, and continue to support that show. Recently, Ken Napzok wrote a book called Why We Love Star Wars. It counts down the greatest moments in Star Wars, and discusses fandom in an intelligent and respectful way. Why not help support a fellow Star Wars fan, and purchase this great book? This was not an easy task, as there are so many from which to choose. Let us know your top 5 favorite Force moments! We also explore life beyond Episode IX: The Rise of Skywalker. If Rey is going to restart the Jedi Order, and build a new temple, how would she do it? This gets into quite a lively discussion about the overall effect the Jedi and Sith have had on the universe, as well as speculation on their future in Star Wars.0:23:14Duel of the Fates (Face Off Questions):Ground Assault vs. Space Battle----which are you more excited to see in The Rise of Skywalker?Star Wars always features big battles in the saga films, and we expect The Rise of Skywalker to be no different. The question is whether it will be a big space battle like the Battle of Endor, or the Battle of Coruscant? Perhaps it will be a big ground assault like the Battle of Hoth, or even the Battle of Skarif? The question is which would we be more excited to see, and why? Let us know what you want to see.0:29:32From a Certain Point of View (Featured Topic):Knights of the Old Republic movie confirmed! This has been a long time coming in our minds. Eric has been an avid fan of the Knights of the Old Republic game for almost two decades now, and has cited its story line as one of the best in Star Wars. We finally have word that this great game is going to be the subject of a movie, and we couldn't be more excited.
