George Vernon Willborn II is a Chicago native who got his big break as the house MC at All Jokes Aside in 1992; which was Chicago's first primarily African American comedy club. George's overwhelming success at All Jokes Aside propelled him into many television opportunities, such as: Def Comedy Jam, BET's Comic View, Showtime at the Apollo, Comedy Central and TV One. After many years of ripping the stage and providing comedic relief, fans across the country dubbed George as “The Stress Reliever”! George has gone on to perform on many comedy tours, national stage plays and currently, headlining a plethora of Funny Bones and Improvs nationwide. B Cole is one of the best comedians out of Chicago. He's been on Comic View, DefJam and has produced several successful films. He grew up in the Wild 100s on the South Side of Chicago and has been making a living from comedy since he was nineteen. We talk about the South Side Chicago comedy scene including All Jokes Aside, The Cotton Club and Jokes & Notes. He gives some tips on things to avoid when  dealing with "Hollyweird" and tells about  the "Hollywood accounting" he faced with his hit film "A Get2gether". We talk about Chris’s experience filming the movie, the experiences of the women in the documentary – including wrestling in “sun down” towns, wrestling promoters in Japan intimidating one of the women, and the strength and resilience being a trailblazer in wrestling prior to the Civil Rights movement catching fire in the United States. We also talk about the influence these women had on the ability of today’s women of color to have a voice - so join me as I dive with Chris into these “hidden figures” in wrestling history. We close chatting about Chris’s other works, namely his novel “The Chloe Chronicles” – which he started during his childhood, and his non-fiction work “All Jokes Aside” with his collaborator Raymond Lambert, and break down how long the road was to create "Lady Wrestler.?"
