For those so inclined to investigate further, we offer the following transcript in Irish with English translation: Mhair an Tuatha De Danann ar oileáin thuaidh na cruinne agus rinne siad staidéar ar sheanchas, ar asarlaíocht, ar ealaíon na ndraoí agus ar dhraíocht chailligh, go dtí gur sháraigh siad na saoithe págánach. Rinne siad staidéar ar stair diamhair agus ar eolas rúnda na cheithre chathair: Falias, Gorias, Murias, agus Findias. Tánaig an Tuatha De Danann go hÉireann le cabhlach mór chun í a thógáil ó na Fir Bolg le fórsa. Nuair a shroicheadar Chorcu Belgatan (glaotar Conmaicne Mara ar an áit sa lá atá inniu ann), dhódh siad na báid ionas nach mbeadh siad i n-ann teitheadh. Chlúdaigh an deatach agus an ceo a tháinig ó na báid gach aon ní timpeall orthu, agus mar sin tá sé ráite gur ar scamaill ceobhrán a tháinig siad. The Tuatha De Danann were in the northern islands of the world, studying occult lore and sorcery, druidic arts and witchcraft and magical skill, until they surpassed the sages of the pagan arts. They studied occult lore and secret knowledge and diabolic arts in four cities: Falias, Gorias, Murias, and Findias. The Tuatha De came with a great fleet to Ireland to take it by force from the Fir Bolg. Upon reaching the territory of Corcu Belgatan (which is Conmaicne Mara today), they at once burned their boats so that they would not think of fleeing to them. The smoke and the mist which came from the ships filled the land and the air which was near them. For that reason it has been thought that they arrived in clouds of mist.

By twos!!! This is the King's podcast ... I suggest you make ready and prepare for this episode of Muggle with a Mic where Phil and Kaiti discuss the 2000 film The Patriot. Get your cuppa tea ready with a spot of quill ink, sit back in your sturdy hand-made rocking chair and enjoy favorite scenes, actors, characters and lines from this epic Revolutionary movie starring Mel Gibson, Heath Ledger and Jason Issacs. You'll also hear what parts of the film were fact and which parts were fiction. Before the film conversation begins, Kaiti and Phil talk current events including the new MCU series "Moon Knight" and a certain 2022 Oscar event that I don't think we need to specify. You know what we're talking about. Watch the film for the first time or for the 1775th time on Netflix where it is currently streaming then listen to this reminiscent episode of Muggle with a Mic! A European patent clerk with an overactive imagination revealed to the world the very fabric of space and time. But decades later, the discovery of black holes would reveal far more challenging facts about the nature of our universe: gaping holes in the very fabric of reality itself. Within the depths of black holes, we might find the keys to a comprehensive and unifiying understanding of quantum mechanics and General Relativity... or we might find a window to oblivion. Discovered by an American farm boy in his early 20s, Pluto has captivated us for quite some time... but astronomers would later discover many other strange worlds within the outer boundaries of the solar system. For centuries, humanity concieved of a cosmos with a fixed earth at its center with stars and planets orbiting around it. Then one day, an obscure Polish priest proposed an outlandish new theory. But it was Galileo and his telescope that would provide the ultimate proof for this radical theory when he bore witness to the universe as it truly existed. Galileo boldly challenged the Catholic Church's view of the universe... in the process, he gave birth to modern astronomy. In the thrilling conclusion to our three part series, the space race comes to a conclusive end with the first attempts to send human beings to the moon. In the late 1960s, the Soviet Union's once unstoppable space program suffered a serious setback but they were determined to press on. In America, Von Braun's Saturn V rocket was completed and tested. After the Apollo 1 tragedy, NASA decided to make a bold move to save the space program. Yet even as the Soviet Union lagged behind in the space race, they still had a few tricks up their sleeve. Tycho Brahe (/ˌtaɪkoʊ ˈbrɑːhi, ˈbrɑː, ˈbrɑːə/, born Tyge Ottesen Brahe (Danish: [ˈtyːə ˈʌdəsn̩ ˈbʁɑː][n 1]); 14 December 1546 – 24 October 1601) was a Danish nobleman known for his accurate and comprehensive astronomical and planetary observations. He was born in the then Danish peninsula of Scania. Well known in his lifetime as an astronomer, astrologer and alchemist, he has been described as "the first competent mind in modern astronomy to feel ardently the passion for exact empirical facts."[1] His observations were some five times more accurate than the best available observations at the time. --- Our theme song was written and performed by Anna Bosnick.
