Everyone OK??? The USWNT battled a wild-n-wooly game against the Dutch, conceding a nasty counterattacking goal early in the first half but finding a way to make Lindsey Horan go Hulk Mode in the second. If only some subs had been able to share the spoils! Evan and Eric break down the 1-1 draw and Vlatko Andonovski's approach, which was somehow as bad and not nearly as bad as you thought. Try not to hyperventilate! Art by Eli Elbogen (IG: eliwritesloud) Music by Devin Drobka's Bell Dance Songs
I explain why Hollywood director David O Russell absolutely sucks and recommend some movies people can watch this week instead of Amsterdam.

Did you know that 4-year-old kids ask an average of 390 questions a day? In light of this, children can be considered the research and development of the human race, according to Moodi Mahmoudi, who previously gave a speech title “Act like a child” at Tech Day, a 2 day hackathon in Amsterdam. Mahmoudi is also the founder and CEO of NEXT, a company that focuses on design thinking and provides businesses with digitally guided processes, challenging the way they traditionally approach problems and solutions. We invited Mahmoudi to join us on the show to discuss how NEXT works, what their digital guide process looks like, and what makes it different from traditional problem-solving approaches. In this episode, you will learn how NEXT helped tackle Amsterdamn’s overcrowded bike parking problem and why out of the box thinking was so important to solve this issue. Mahmoudi also explains the motivation and meaning behind his “Act like a child” speech, why learning is not necessarily a linear process, and the top three most thought-provoking questions asked by children. We’ll give you a quick peek at the first one, “What are shadows made of?” so stay tuned to hear the top two.

This week's episode is all about Amsterdam. Good choices v. Bad choices. Well aren't they both the same thing? Note: On this episode I mistakenly said "To be legal in Amsterdam" and I meant to say " To be in Amsterdam legally." I also left out how amazing the Anne Frank museum was. It cost 10 euros to visit and is worth every euro cent! In Episode 7 of the Art of Waging Small Business Warfare podcast, we bring you up to speed with Guerrillapreneur news, news about the sharing, gig and circular loop economies. First, According to Forbes Magazine, sharing economy companies are improving the economic fortunes of women around the world. Female Airbnb hosts in Kenya are earning enough to cover one-third of their household costs. Female hosts in India are earning enough to cover over 30% of their household costs. Despite the change in fortunes, women still lag men in launching sharing economy startups. Debbie Wosskow, founder and CEO of Love Home Swap, has launched a Allbright, a unique UK funding platform designed to provide the support and finance needed by female-led businesses to launch and scale. Second, Safr Ride Sharing Service has changed their market approach. Initially, Safr launched as a woman-only ride sharing service -- with women drivers serving only women riders. Safr has modified its approach to all men to both ride and drive for the company. However, Safr does give users the option in its App to select whether they prefer women drivers and/or riders. Third, Snagajob and Husl have both completed market test and are preparing to roll-out their on-demand service for hourly workers that is focused on the restaurant sector. Fourth, Cat-in-a-Flat, the Airbnb of the Cat Sitting space, has begun a full scale roll-out after their soft launch in London, Dublin and Amsterdamn. You will soon be able to use their app to locate a trust cat sitter for your fluffy friend. Fifth, three Chinese Shared-Battery Sharing and/or Smart Device Charging companies announced investments on the same day. According to Six Tone magazine, Xiaodian received a $350 million-Yuan ($50.7 million US) in investments while Hidian and Feichangdian received $100 million Yuan ($14.5 million US) and $3 million Yuan ($435,000 US) respectively. Finally, Up & Go, and Home Cleaning Startup started by cleaning cooperatives Brightly Cleaning, Cooperative Cleaning of New York, and Ecomundo, is fighting the tech giants entering their space. Unlike taxi cab companies, these cooperatives have decided to fight back and use technology to give them the sharing economy benefits and reach more customers. In Episode 6, I presented the Growth Capacity Framework to help business mavericks and entrepreneurs create management capacity. The framework uses two dimensions (Do the tasks differentiate your business and Are the tasks Critical to the Daily Delivery of the Product or Service) to help founders to sort business tasks into four quadrants: CORE COMPETENCY Tasks, Tasks that represent NEW COMPETENCIES, Tasks that should be OUTSOURCED and tasks that founders should seek to REDUCE THE COST. In Episode 7, we use our Mastermind Interview with sales guru, Scott Sullivan of Sullivan & Associates (also known as Synergenic Sales Group), to reflect on the Growth Capacity Framework and to show founders how they can OUTSOURCE Sales and Marketing and unleash explosive growth.
