The 4K/UHD podcast is back with a whole new bunch of crazy, fun stuff, this time from Amsterdam. Amsterdamn, or as they call it in New York, York, is a fun, crazy, exciting place. * What does a late-night informercial look like in Amsterdam? The answer may surprise you, or it may not... it's pretty adult. * Exclusive interview with Dan Geddes of www.TheSatirist.com. * What makes Amsterdam such a great place? * Standup comedy in Amsterdam. * Satire news as reality. * Being mistaken for real news, with a hot mention for the fantastically clever Jen Gardiner. * Speaking in tongues and faith healing, the powers that be, and the unfortunate reality. * Discussion of George Carlin and Louis C.K. * Sneak Peek #2 of the Bobby Joe Mockumentary movie. The 4K/UHD podcast is back with a whole new bunch of crazy, fun stuff for 2017. * My six year old decided to give up on his dreams of being a cop in favor of being a software (game) programmer. No, he made this choice because his MUCH older brother Brendan wants to make video games, and he wants to be with him. Very touching stuff. * Can I get to a million views in 2017? I'm quite a bit off pace, but it's still within the realm of possiblity? * How "Fake News" is really made (with actual examples, links and information.) * Technical difficulties with my TASCAM... solved! Why does it keep powering down? Because my USB hub doesn't drive enough power. * Formal announcement of my "How Bobby Joe Really Does" movie thingy... yes, my most popular character is making a feature length film. Check it out at www.fb.me/BobbyJoeTheMovie. * First official sample from my forthcoming mockumentary about how "how it's made" is REALLY made! The 4K/UHD podcast is back with a whole new take on 2017. * I got my buddy a free shirt. * I'm on pace to hit a million views this year, but there's so much more here... * It could have been a Hot Stream, but it's the Kodi Box, specifically with Exodus. You just but it, plug it in to your TV, and the damn thing just works. It's like Netflix, but with EVERY TV show and movie, kind of since forever. You can pay $30-100 to get a good to great one, and there you go... no more paying to subscribe to stuff... It's just rigth there. * But seriously, the Kodi box looks great, works great, and has WAY, WAY more than you can find on any other streaming service. * The Kodi box IS legal. It's NOT downloading or sharing, it's just streaming, which is within the loophole. It's illegal for the host for the guy in the country where they don't care about copyright. * I learned so much through the backdoor recording the documentary series. Trial by fire, really. Also how Bologna is REALLY made... please to listen. * There are tale of murdered wives and mistresses, you should really check it out. * How to save money on the road trip to EVERY science museum. * How are bridges really made, especially considering all the graft and political influence? * How bridges are built with mad, mad profits for the pre-landed class. * Why would you be friends with the devil? * My goal to hit 1 MILLION! new views in 2017 (detailed). * I'm making a "how REALLY do" documentary... I think. Follow me around the web: iTunes (or search "Glossy News") Facebook.com/4KPodcast Twitter - @4KPodcast YouTube.com/glossynews GlossyNews.com/podcast What the hell is an ursine clyster? The 4K/UHD podcast is back with a whole new take on 2017. * Libsyn is terrible and takes advantage of small-time podcasters. * Didn't get the Christmas special finished, but I will for 2017. It will be great, you'll see. Just great music, great stuff all around. * Review of "It's a Wonderful Life". #notmypresident * Since my mom died, my step-dad really stepped up with the Christmas gifts in ways mom never would have let him. * There are reasons you should rent, but many more reasons you should just buy your house. * 2017 will be the year of Brian. I will be big this year. Do or die, baby. Lose weight, get big on YouTube, or die trying. If I don't make it in 2017, I'll pack it in and call it a day. I mean, if that's not enough to see what I have to offer and share it with the world, what else am I supposed to do? * Teaching kids how to make and keep resoultions for the new year. * Why you should ALWAYS try to buy your home, rather than rent. * Your phone tracks you everywhere, even if it's in places you'd never admit to going. You know, like the place you go to buy your drugs or meet your mistress. Yeah, your phone knows you went there. * Given the choice, your kids will always buy you the very worst gifts, if any at all. In my case it was both. I had to buy the gift myself, it sucked, and they didn't buy me anything else, even with my own money. The 4K/UHD podcast is back with an insider's perspective on how a TV pilot is shot, specifically "Rules for Dudes" produced by Jack Talbert. The November 21st podcast focuses on my day on set shooting the pilot for "Rules for Dudes" produced by Jack Talbert, starring Russ Garwood and Laura Hunter, supported by a huge group of talented actors, writers and crew. * The challenges of production are discussed. * I give props to supporting actors Jason Daniel, Chip Wood, Shanna Olsen, Rene Hamlet, Anna Lee White and more, as well as the crew of Alex on camera, Alex on sound, Zach on PA/AD, Kirsten on PA/AD and too many more to mention. * And even more props to the ever-aweseome Griffen Hadden, who not only works as a co-writer on the script, but in a prominent role. You guys are all aweseome. Making a show is hard, making a pilot is harder, but these guys did just the best damn work I've seen since, well, since forever. The 4K/UHD podcast is back again with a whole new gaggle of fun, goofy stuff. Here are just some of the topics covered in the the November 7th, 2016 Election Edition. * How to win the claw machines EVERY TIME. It's easier than you think, though a bit more costly than you might imagine. My wife's grandma always one them and she had one sure strategy to always win them. * How much money can you actually save by vaping instead of smoking. Short answer is a lot, but the longer answer is a looooot, and here we show the actual numbers. * On the eve of the election, my prediction, hope and prayer that the polls are right and Hillary Clinton will win the presidency on Tuesday. * When planning for end-of-life care, there's one last trick you should try to see if your loved ones will actually wake up. It's not talking or singing to them, but this one little trick IT professionals don't want you to know about. * Review of the book (and movie) Slaughterhouse Five, and the differences between them. Put this on your final exam, it's actually a comedy, though a very dark, very dry comedy. Still, pretty hysterical when you look at it in the right light. The 4K/UHD podcast is back again with a whole new slew of stuff. Here are just some of the topics covered in the the October 31st, 2016 Halloween edition. * How to end your life with dignity. At some point, you know you're going to die, so just don't fight it. There was a very successful insurance lady (my mom) who convinced countless patients to die with dignity, but she when it came right down to it, she just couldn't do it herself. * Why would a mother who never went to church only care about her kids having been baptized once she discovered she was herself terminally ill? It's because "bargaining" is a step on the road to acceptance. * Halloween this year showed something unique... NO COMMON COSTUMES. Despite the huge movies of the year, there was no BIG popular costume theme. Pretty weird, really. Does this mean popular culture is dead? * Bi-Polar sounds like either nonsense or some bizarro-land sickness, but that's not what it is at all. When you're depressed, it's easy to understand, it's just depression, but what's the "manic" part of it? Mania (or in this case hypo-mania) is actually a state of absurdly high function. It's the sort of thing where, if you could maintain it, it would make you a god among men. We dispell some common myths about bi-polar, mania and hypo-mania. If I could sell you the mania, you'd buy it in a second, but it's a deal with the devil because the depression is coming, and it's going to steal it all from you, and right quickly at that. * True science fact of the week. Did you know pidgeons die after sex? * There's only one joke that holds true (at least in the Democrat/Republican dynamic) that just never, ever goes out of style. * Update on the podcast... surprisingly, October was the biggest month ever. Nice, nice. The 4K/UHD podcast is back again with a whole new slew of stuff. Here are just some of the topics covered in the the October 24th, 2016 edition. * NO MORE election updates. I wanted to do more, but it's so painfully obvious trump will lose, what's the point? * Video/Movie review... NOTHING because YouTube lets everyone steal my income from my React and Review videos. To hell with them... though Black Mirror season three is pretty awesome. * Cheat days... What does that mean? You're losing weight, but you can gorge on odd days? Why doesn't this extend to further vices or sins of the flesh, or beyond just some arbitrarily decided day of the year, month, or week? Why not four days a week? * Wild Waves Fright Fest 2016 - Wild Waves in Federal Way, Washington review in glorious 4K/UHD. Rides, haunted houses, arts & crafts, magic show and more. The 4K/UHD podcast is back again with a whole podcast dedicated just to Remlinger Farms. They're not our sponsors, much as that would be awesome, but we just really like what they do. Here are just some of the topics covered in the the October 17th, 2016 edition. * New features around the park. * Pony rides and just how much they mean to little kids. * POV roller coaster ride at Remlinger Farms. * Other rides around the park. * Hay maze, pedal cars and all the other stuff. * Apparently a goat got on the loose. "Munchkin" does that from time to time, apparently. * Steam train ride and being chased by alpaca a' plenty. * Live music with Eric Ode or Cyndi Soup. This was the first year we ever saw Cyndi, but apparently they work different days of the week, so it wasn't so suprising since we always do weekends and Eric was out of town on this rare occasion. * The petting zoo. * Vintage tractor ride over to the pumpkin patch and corn maze on the 1953 tractor. * The pumpkin patch. * The corn maze, though it was more of a corn-walk, since there wasn't really much room to get lost with a map in hand and only one way in and out... and no real diverging paths, really. So cheap and wonderful. Of course, all the anti-smoking commercials are funded by the tobacco companies, so they really don't have a whole lot of motivation to actually make these commercials effective. * REACT video of "Boys Beware," an actual scared-straight video from 1962 in which boys are warned of the dangers of the sickness of homosexuality, which is apparently "congagious" according to the Irvine Police Department and the Irvine Unified School District. So bizarre. Original video in high-def here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NzfZikZ5Xn8 * The worst, laziest worker in the world. The guy who actually tried to charge me to bid on a job... what a clown. * Explanation of how much better and cheaper it is to vape instead of smoking. You don't smell like a bingo hall all the time, you can actually walk up a flight of stairs without running out of breath, and if you shop online instead of at the local shops, you can save HUGE amounts of money. Trust me, you'll love me for this one. * The most unbelievable mini-golf tournament was recently held in Riverside, California, and we were there to capture some of the players in some, nay, ALL, of their glory. * 7 Ways to Make College Work again. Pretty self-explanatory, but I cover costs, minimizing costs, fixing the balooning student debt crisis and how to just, you know, make the whole thing work for everyone forever... Pretty basic stuff, really. * Explanation of why the podcast is shorter, and a few quick teasers for things to come... Spoiler alert, it's because I'm going back to the videos for which I'm actually well known and (in)famous. I haven't had Jason V. Opening day of the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, with just a handful of the fun things we did with our boys. Discount tickets at Fred Meyer and Costco, at the very very least. * Superman was a jerk, for sure, but he was also the biggest liar ever when it came to his feats of strength in terms of stopping airliners from crashing. I mean, holding his hand up to the decorative nose-cone wouldn't do a damn thing, and even if he could actually stop the plane, everyone inside would instantly die from the rapid deceleration. * During my recent trip to Hollywood, I discovered someone I've had a crush on since I was just a boy also fancied me back. That flirty-birdy Vanna White seems to fancy me as much as I always fancied her, as a child, though I'm just sure it would never work out. * Trump supporters are still threatening me, but not as often as they used to. There are connotatoins a' plenty, as I explain in this segment. * The fans and haters demanded it, so here's another fact-based analysis of why Donald Trump will lose, and lose BIGLY in November. Not just offering a trailer here and there, but an unending stream of trailers based first on your suggested videos, then expanding to show all sorts of things. Allow us to give the thumbs up or down, or add it to our playlist. So much better than just trying to filter through everything. * How high do professional fireworks shows go up in the air? Plus you'd have to know what fireworks they're actually using. * Exclusive telephone interview with Bill Clinton!!! He dishes about the upcoming election and shares his thoughts on the candidates and who you should vote for. * Meet the man with a real life super power of finding and controlling the natural behavior of mosquitoes. * Why in the heck does the History Channel insist on measuring everything in football fields and Olympic Swimming pools? It's confusing at best, but more likely, just a bit dishonest. They SAY football fields, but they want us to THINK football stadiums. It makes it sound bigger than it is. Just give me the facts, man. The 4K/UHD podcast is back again this week with so much more killer stuff from the show. All of this is available in UHD on YouTube by searching "Glossy Podcast" or as an MP3 on iTunes by searching "Glossy News". Here are the topics covered in the the May 16th edition. * Deep Analytics: Why Trump will lose and lose badly in November - In this in-depth segment I go through the works of Sam Wang, Pollster, the various 270toWin pundits, and even the betting markets. Yes, tiny-fingers Trump will lose in November, and lose badly. He'll be out-spent, out classed and generally made to look like the loser he is. Ya fired, little Don. Ya fired. * There are actually advantages to being held back a grade, and to my surprise, they really don't offer this to kids anymore. I know it wounds like a bad thing, but really it isn't. Hear me out and you'll agree. * Yes, I FINALLY got paid for being awesome possum on Reddit! I promised X within a month, but delivered DOUBLE-X within a week, and even still the customer got a bit nasty about it. Well, the check still cleared, so there you go. * Thought on the tragic shooting at Pulse Nightclub in Orlando, or rather, I guess, my lack of thoughts on it. * Discover the movie theater that practically begs you to sneak in without paying. I mean, they still don't want you to, but it's cheaper to let dozens sneak in every hour than actually check tickets. * Crazy mom doesn't mind her kids getting concussions, so long as they consent to them in advance, even if that clearly wasn't they agreed to. * When someone loses consciousness, medical staff (or EMTs) have to ask orientation questions like the day of the week, the location or who the president is. Some of the acceptable answers might surprise you, even though they actually made sense, if you think about it... not too much though, just a bit. All of this is available in UHD on YouTube by searching "Glossy Podcast" or as an MP3 on iTunes by searching "Glossy News". Here are the topics covered in the the June 20th edition, but really, it's all about Roy Zimmerman in one way or another. * An exclusive backstage interview with Roy Zimmerman from his show in Seattle at the Phinney Ridge Neighborhood Center, sponsored by the Seattle Folklore Society. * Intro to Roy Zimmerman with his hit song "Creation Science 101". * Snippet of his song "This Machine (speaks truth to power)" * Review of his song "Vote Republican" and how it almost seems like conservative leaders have to hypnotize voters just to make them vote against their own best interests. * A look at the strong musical influences of the likes of The Beatles in his work. * Topical stuff like the Bathroom Bills being passed around the country. * Much like Bill Maher (whom he's opened for in past shows,) Roy talks about what he calls the "blue dot" enclaves in otherwise deeply red areas. Listen as he explains and goes into detail on that. * A quick song criticizing the effect Citizens United has had on democracy in America and the myth that corporations are people, my friend. * The best quiet moment in a live performance I've ever witnessed during a song about the dangers of Driving While Black. * Another topical song, this time about gun violence, performed less than a day after the tragic Orlando shooting. It's only topical in the sense that a shooting had just happened, but really, the happen all the time, so I guess it's always on topic. * Roy offers up something unique for this election: A new song every week until the election. Amazing how good customer service can be. * My buddy Matthew shared the story of his first day at his new post as a priest in a rough part of Philly. * VR headsets are the hottest new thing, but apparently for the actors and camera operators it can be so damn hard to use, but sometimes it's a bit softer. * Billion dollar business idea for a kids clothing store that the market needs, but doesn't exist... yet. You guys are free to take this idea and run with it, no charge, no questions asked. * My crazy mom found a great way to save money at the holidays while still doing fun things with the grandkids. She was a terrible cook, but not quite as bad as my grandma who only owned one spice, but oh my was it the rarest thing you've ever heard of. * If dogs outlived humans, would we treat them as family heirlooms and celebrate the rarity of puppies the way we do baby tortoises? * All in-laws are crazy, but some can be downright evil. It's surprisingly easy. * Shocking new stats about HIV prevalence among American males, specifically in California, inlcuding some of the richest neighborhoods. * It looks like I just got an acting job in an upcoming feature-length film... not video, a movie shot on actual film. The director has an actual budget and a YouTube channel with millions of views. I'll update more later. * Microsoft isn't merely offering us all Windows 10 for free, they're badgering the hell out of us to install it. Is it better? No, they're not exactly claiming that, but it's prettier. So based on that we should TOTALLY risk our entire systems just so they can sell us more crap we don't need. * Review of the ESPN film "30 for 30: Frightful Lies". It's very well made, as all the 30 for 30 series are, but it's chilling and shocking.
