Greg Brady and the panel of: Anthony Furey, columnist, 640 Toronto Contributor, council candidate for Don Valley West Ariella Kimmel, executive director of a new advocacy group called A Better City (ABC) Toronto Discuss: 1-We're probably a week away - less than that, from a federal election call - Parliament is supposed to be back in session a week from today - on March 24th - I think we all agree it won't be. This OBVIOUSLY will be a fight that many of us didn't think would happen 3 months ago. The narrative is - Justin Trudeau is/was the villain…time for him to go, time to make him pay - but the worst thing for the CPC happened….he left on his own. Are the Conservatives struggling to pivot? 2-I had a conversation on the weekend with - let's call them “undecided” voters - and one person thought Carney will just play keepaway as humanly often as possible, won't visit Trump, won't settle into talks to re-define trade - and that would benefit him. The other person, incredulously, was more thinking that's an unbelievably cynical thing to do - he's got 6-7 weeks to show he's up to this - and hiding from Trump will expose who and what he is - is one side more correct? 3-TTC Fare inspectors on buses today - is this any sort of sign the city IS getting more serious about fare evasion? 4- Chow to appear on CNN....The City won't entertain bids by American companies any longer....is this merely performative?
