President Trump publicly released tariff letters to around a dozen countries—including Japan, South Korea, Thailand, and Indonesia—warning they'll face import taxes of at least 25% starting August 1 unless they finalize new trade deals. Meanwhile, a California National Guard deployment to an empty park in LA drew backlash as a political stunt, while Customs and Border Protection issued a call for advanced surveillance tech to analyze seized digital devices. Cybersecurity experts raised alarms over Scattered Spider, a hacker group targeting U.S. infrastructure using phishing and impersonation tactics. The DOJ and FBI released a memo denying any Epstein “client list” or foul play in his prison death—despite past contradictions—including new (but suspect) footage. Physician groups are suing HHS Secretary RFK Jr. over new federal COVID vaccine recommendations, and the Trump administration says a U.S.-friendly version of TikTok is on track to launch September 5 as part of a deal to avoid a full ban. The most liberal court of appeals in the United States, the 9th Circuit, late last night ruled that it is the great and powerful President Donald J. Trump who is Commander in Chief of the federalized California National Guard, and not the feckless and pandering Governor Gavin Newsom. This ruling overturns an insane temporary restraining order issued last week by the unelected, black-robed, tyrannical inferior federal district trial court Judge Charles Breyer. That 83-year-old San Francisco judge—who we're supposed to believe wrote out a detailed 33-page TRO against Trump in less than three hours—broke a metaphorical hip in fabricating a rationale for why command of the National Guard should revert to Newsom, at the mere cost of the lives of federal immigration elements and the arson of federal buildings. Fortunately, saner minds have prevailed.  But what happens next? Will Newsom and Judge Breyer accept defeat, or will the continue the theatrical and performative obstruction of our Article II Executive Branch President as he seeks to protect American lives and property from the ravages of tens of millions of illegal migrant third-world invaders and their domestic collaborators rebelling against the authority of our national government and sovereignty. Join me LIVE as I break yet another TRUMP VICTORY  down into plain English! Get Your FREE Copy of Our Best-Selling Book: "The Law of Self Defense: Principles"Visit Here: https://lawofselfdefense.com/getthebook"You are wise to buy this material. In a sweeping ruling and stern condemnation of Trump's violation of both the federal law AND the Constitution, a federal judge in California ruled that Trump must relinquish control of the California National Guard and return control to California Governor Gavin Newsom. However, the appeals court has issued a brief stay/pause on the ruling. In ruling against Trump, Judge Charles Breyer wrote: "At this early stage of the proceedings, the Court must determine whether the President followed the congressionally mandated procedure for his actions. He did not. His actions were illegal both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California forthwith." The White House activation of the California National Guard to protect Federal property and personnel in riot-torn Los Angeles has been challenged by the feckless pandering Governor Gavin Newsom. Newsom was able to secure a Temporary Restraining Order against Trump for a few brief hours last Thursday, with an unelected, black-robed tyrannical inferior federal district trial court judge out of San Francisco stripping the Article II Executive Branch president of his Commander in Chief authority over America's military and handing control back to Newsom. The White House immediately secured a pause on that order from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals, however, and yesterday that three-judge panel heard oral arguments on Newsom v. Trump for command authority over the deployed National Guard. In today's show we'll first review the absolutely inane and politically-driven TRO from the San Francisco unelected, black-robed, tyrannical, inferior federal district trial court judge—so we know exactly how we got here--and then break down the video of yesterday's 9th Circuit oral argument. Get Your FREE Copy of Our Best-Selling Book: "The Law of Self Defense: Principles"Visit Here: https://lawofselfdefense.com/getthebook"You are wise to buy this material. Will a 9th Circuit appeals court put Governor Newsom back in charge of the California National Guard and refuse to accept the ruse of a Trump-declared “rebellion,” or will they rule for Trump and keep him in charge for many more months while they ponder the appeal. Michael Popok reports on today's oral argument and posits that they will likely find that they have jurisdiction to provide oversight over Trump's actions, but want the lower court to develop a more fulsome record before making an ultimate ruling, starting with a hearing in court on Friday before Judge Breyer. Donald Trump overrode Governor Gavin Newsom to federalize the California National Guard to police the streets of Los Angeles. Protests over ICE’s deportation tactics are growing, prompting the Trump administration to leverage extreme authority over the protests, with Pentagon head Pete Hegseth warning that he will call in the Marines if necessary. All of this calls into question the limits of presidential authority in domestic civil disturbances and whether Posse Comitatus is still the law of the land. While it’s still on the books, it has been effectively gutted over the past 30 years by multiple administrations through procedural changes to the U.S. Code that have gone largely unnoticed. COUNTDOWN BULLETIN: SEASON 3 EPISODE 137 Attempting to question Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem at her Propaganda Conference in Los Angeles today about the Trump Junta's illegal usurpation of the California National Guard and its illegal deployment of active military into civilian police enforcement, California Senator Alex Padilla was jumped by a series of Trumpist thugs including uniformed members of the FBI who wrestled him to the ground, threatened him, and handcuffed him. This is simply the latest in a string of domestic terrorist events perpetrated by Trump's government since the beginning of the ICE raids rounding up migrants, naturalized citizens, and native-born Americans alike, last Friday. It precipitated minor protests and violence slightly below the level of that seen after the Los Angeles Lakers' basketball team won its last championship in 2020. The manhandling of Padilla may have not been the most ominous development Thursday in our march towards dictatorship. Pressed at a congressional hearing about the pending case asking a judge to restrain Trump from usurping control of the California National Guard from Governor Newsom, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth refused to confirm he would abide by any ruling from the court with which he would not agree. He is attempting to cloak the insertion of active military into civilian police enforcement, and the overriding of the courts, in some fantasy that he and Trump are enacting "foreign policy" by terrorizing Southern California. The decision was made without California Governor Gavin Newsom's approval, and the state is now suing the “illegal and immoral” move. We get into all the potential ramifications of the uptick in immigration raids. Then, we discuss how people in other countries have coped with anti-democratic forces in their own communities. Finally, we smile at the original cast of “Hamilton” reuniting for the musical's 10-year anniversary.
