THANKS TO ANDREW FOR MAKING THE INTRO SONG. (soundcloud.com / andoryukesuta)@andoryukesuta In October 1988, twelve-year-old Bill Denbrough crafts a paper sailboat for Georgie, his six-year-old brother. Georgie sails the boat along the rainy streets of small town Derry, Maine, only to have it fall down a storm drain. As he attempts to retrieve it, Georgie sees a clown in the drain, who introduces himself as "Pennywise the Dancing Clown". Pennywise entices Georgie to come closer, then bites his arm off and drags him into the sewer. The following summer in June 1989, Bill and his friends Richie Tozier, Eddie Kaspbrak, and Stan Uris run afoul of older bullies Henry Bowers, Belch Huggins, Patrick Hockstetter, and Victor Criss. Bill, still haunted by Georgie's disappearance, calculates that his brother's body may have washed up in a marshy wasteland called the Barrens. He recruits his friends to investigate, believing Georgie may still be alive. Ben Hanscom, one of Bill's new classmates, learns that unexplained tragedies and child disappearances have plagued the town for centuries. Targeted by Bowers' gang, Ben flees into the Barrens and meets Bill's group. They find the sneaker of a missing girl named Betty Ripsom, while Patrick is killed by Pennywise while searching the sewers for Ben. Beverly Marsh, a girl bullied over her rumored promiscuity, also joins the group; both Bill and Ben develop feelings for her. Later, the group befriends orphan Mike Hanlon after rescuing him from Bowers. Each member of the group has encountered terrifying manifestations of the same menacing clown who attacked Georgie: a headless undead boy (Ben), a sink that spews blood only children can see (Beverly), a diseased and rotting leper (Eddie), a disturbing painting coming alive (Stan), Mike's parents burning alive (Mike), and a frightening phantom of Georgie (Bill). Now calling themselves "The Losers Club", they realize they are all being stalked by the same entity, which they refer to as "It". They determine that It appears as their individual worst fears, awakening every 27 years to feed on the children of Derry before resuming hibernation, and moves about by using the sewer lines, which all lead to an old stone well hidden under an abandoned house on Neibolt Street. After Pennywise attacks them, the group ventures to the house to confront It, only to be separated and terrorized. As Pennywise gloats to Bill about Georgie, the Losers regroup and Beverly impales Pennywise through the head, forcing the clown to retreat. The group flees the house and begins to splinter, with only Bill and Beverly resolute in fighting It.
In Episode 29, I sit down with Brandon Crane who plays Ben Hanscom in 'Stephen King's IT' (1990). We discuss the his acting career and growing up in the acting industry as a kid. We also discuss his experience on set and filming one of the most terrifying horror films of all time, IT (1990) and Much More! *I do not own the rights to the intro music*
That's right, we got the OG Beverly Marsh, Ben Hanscom and Stan Uris from the 1990 It mini-series on the show to talk about their experiences filming the landmark adaptation, dealing with the legacy of that show and what they're up to now.
As an original member of the Losers’ Club, Brandon Crane took on Pennywise in the 1990 “It” miniseries – an adaptation that still terrifies audiences to this day. Tune in to hear why the part of Ben Hanscom was so important to him, what Tim Curry and John Ritter were like on set, and how he scored a cameo in 2019’s “It Chapter Two.”
No big deal, we’re just chatting with one of our biggest childhood idols this week. Brandon Crane—who played Ben Hanscom in It and Doug Parker on Wonder Years—joins VCRWORLD to share what it was like to come of age on screen. He takes us back to the summer he spent becoming best friends with the ‘Losers Club’ and how close they all got to be. We ask him what he learned from being on set with Tim Curry and John Ritter and so many other brilliant actors. Most importantly, did Pennywise give him nightmares too? Finally, if you must know, we all share our thoughts on the remake and how movies may have changed a bit in the past 30 years. What a journey! Get on the email list at vcrworld.substack.com
Edição: Miotti FICHA TÉCNICA COMPLETA NO FILMOW https://filmow.com/it-uma-obra-prima-do-medo-t8074/

Another IT episode? That's right, two episodes dedicated to film adaptations in as many months. The legendary novel by Stephen King gets adapted much more competently in Andy Muschietti's very ambitious film series. If you are listening to this as a precursor to It: Chapter 2, fear not-- we announce when our discussion gets into spoiler territory. 2017 stars the magnanimous Bill Skarsgård as It / Pennywise, Jaeden Lieberher as Bill Denbrough, Jeremy Ray Taylor as Ben Hanscom, Sophia Lillis as Beverly Marsh, Finn Wolfhard as Richie Tozier, Wyatt Oleff as Stanley Uris, Jack Dylan Grazer as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Chosen Jacobs as Mike Hanlon. Not only do we discuss easter eggs, nods to the books, and these actors' great performances, but we discuss the casting process for the sequel. It: Chapter 2 stars Jessica Chastain as the adult Beverly Marsh, James McAvoy as "Big: Bill, Bill Hader as Richie "Trashmouth" Tozier, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, Jay Ryan as Ben "Haystack" Hanscom, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak, and Andy Bean as Stanley "Slice 'Em Open" Uris. We discuss the film, our impressions, and where the franchise can go from here. Director, Andy Muschietti, is actively campaigning to do a supercut of both films combined, returning the deleted scenes, and even adding new ones. So yes, it is wholly possible that Slashers will do yet another episode on It... Beep beep. This week's "Hidden Track" is Moon Tooth with their song Trust. What is it about fear that intrigues us? Is it the mystery of the unknown or the thrill of the experience that we find so alluring? Some people are born fearful while in others fear comes with living our everyday lives and encountering things that make us feel uneasy or apprehensive. Either manifested from our now psychosis or an event, fear is natural and actually healthy. But how we deal with fear is what defines how we as individuals bloom from its seed.
