Special Guest Kyle Mealy https://www.readyforthenextlevel.com/revenue-cascade If you've ever wondered why your business feels stuck — despite working hard on your marketing or your sales — this episode is for you. This week, I sat down with Kyle Andrews, CEO and Founder of Next Level Revenue and author of The Next Level Revenue Formula. Kyle has a fascinating journey from lab manager, to karate school owner, to leading a multimillion-dollar marketing and sales company. What ties it all together? His obsession with process, data, and creating predictable results. Here are my key takeaways from our conversation: Marketing and sales aren't two separate departments — together, they form the “revenue zipper” that keeps growth predictable and profits flowing. Optimization is everything. Kyle learned early on that when you tweak the right part of a process, you unlock exponential results. Revenue growth is math, not magic. With the right system, you can literally predict your results. Many entrepreneurs focus on topline numbers but forget profitability — the real goal is profitable revenue. Podcasting, when integrated into a larger ecosystem, isn't just about visibility. It's a powerful sales strategy to build trust and move prospects closer to working with you. Stop relying on outdated metrics like “7 touches” — today, buyers may need 30+ interactions before they're ready to buy. Kyle's approach: “Seven times, seven ways.” In this episode, Kyle shares the exact frameworks he's created to help businesses remove the silos between sales and marketing, measure ROI with clarity, and build systems that don't just generate leads but actually convert them. His story proves that when you bring curiosity, creativity, and a little “MacGyver” thinking to business growth, the results are revolutionary. If you're ready to stop treating sales and marketing as separate worlds and finally align your business around predictable, profitable revenue — this conversation will change the way you think. https://www.readyforthenextlevel.com/ https://www.linkedin.com/in/kyle-mealy/ https://www.linkedin.com/company/next-level-revenue Your Six-Figure Podcast Blueprint https://podcastprofitsunleashed.com/free

How a Pasadena Church is Helping One Senior Through Wildfire Recovery It's been more than seven months since the Eaton Fire tore across Altadena, just east of Los Angeles. Rebuilding homes and neighborhoods could take years – a daunting timeline, especially for seniors. Local advocates worry that many elders within Altadena's historic Black community won't be able to rebuild. Afro LA's Corinne Ruff has this story of how members of a church in Pasadena are coming together to support an elder congregant as she works to rebuild her home, and her life. Fix a Zipper and Save the Planet at San Francisco's Free Clothing Repair Clinics Usually public libraries are quiet spaces, but on a recent evening in San Francisco's Glen Park neighborhood, the building was buzzing with the sound of sewing machines. Once a month, libraries around the city transform into pop-up clothing repair clinics. On the face of it, it's a chance to patch that hole in your go-to jacket or finally fix that broken zipper on your skirt, but the goal of the program is to help residents reuse items, and keep them out of the landfill. KQED's Bianca Taylor takes us inside. Repairing a 1957 Vintage Radio Rekindled a Daughter's Bond With Her Dad For reporter Rachael Myrow, radio has long been a fixture in her life – not just through her career in public broadcasting, but also through a connection to her father. Fred Myrow was an LA composer who wrote soundtracks to films like Soylent Green and Phantasm. She tells us how the discovery of her father's beloved old radio has strengthened their bond many years after his death. The Truth Behind One of the State's Most Ubiquitous Bumper Stickers We've all seen them before: those bright yellow bumper stickers that read “Mystery Spot” in black lettering. Tonight we're rewinding the VHS of pop culture to ask one simple question: Whatever happened to all the boobs? In the 1980s and early '90s, R-rated flicks were basically a wet-T-shirt contest with a plot: think Porky's meets Friday the 13th with bonus saxophone music. Fast-forward to the 2000s and suddenly the MPAA slaps you with an NC-17 if a naked ankle lingers too long—but show a dude getting pencil-stabbed in the eyeball and you're coasting into PG-13 territory. We'll break down: Why the ratings board will karate-kick a nipple off the screen but high-five a headshot. How global markets said “no thanks” to nudity but “yes please” to neck snapping. The rise of prestige TV—where dragons, teen angst, and full-frontal somehow coexist. Whether the pendulum could swing back, or if Hollywood is permanently stuck in “From Breasts to Blood” mode. All of it sprinkled with real research (shout-out to Brown & Childers, Thompson & Yokota, Ward, and the rest of the citation squad) so you can cite something besides your uncle's Blockbuster memories.

As road work continues across Michigan, police are on high alert for speeding and distracted drivers causing crashes during backups. On this week's Talking Michigan Transportation podcast, a conversation about efforts engineers take to balance mobility and safety during active road work. Lindsey Renner, division administrator for Construction Field Services at the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) and a former supervisor of the Work Zone Safety section, explains the challenges. Among innovative methods in use are rumble strips to alert people as they approach a work zone, speed trailers and law enforcement employing a Ghost Rider program to identify distracted drivers. Renner also talks about the zipper merge as a means of encouraging drivers to alternate when work requires a lane to be closed. What happens when someone who doesn't identify as a "math person" joins a mathematics education organization? In our milestone 101st episode, Nick Love, CPM's Director of Strategic Communications, shares candid insights about navigating this territory that reveal powerful lessons about creating inclusive learning environments. After spending years in school communications without being a classroom teacher, Nick found himself surrounded by mathematics education experts—an experience he describes as both inspiring and occasionally intimidating. "It's a little bit like hanging out with giants sometimes," he admits. His stories highlight what happens when we create spaces where everyone feels welcome to engage with mathematics, regardless of their background or comfort level.Nick recounts a pivotal professional learning experience where a skilled facilitator simply asked, "What do you need to be successful in this session?" This question transformed his participation from anxiety to meaningful engagement. Rather than being tokenized, he was genuinely included in ways that honored his perspective while stretching his mathematical thinking appropriately. The experience shifted from "I don't belong here" to "I'm in with this group"—a transformation that mirrors what we hope all learners experience in mathematics classrooms. We also explore what Nick calls "the art of the nudge"—a communication approach recognizing that when people don't respond to requests, it's usually because they're overwhelmed with competing priorities rather than disinterest. This gentle persistence creates connection rather than frustration, a valuable perspective for educators working with busy students and colleagues alike. As we launch into our fifth season of the podcast, this conversation reminds us why our mission matters: creating conditions where everyone can engage meaningfully with mathematics expands possibilities for learning and belonging.
