How do we tune into clients? How can we read them quickly? How can we take feedback well? How can we be collaborative? How can we help them tell their story?I always enjoy the dedications and acknowledgements in books. Such hidden treasures. Recently, I had the pleasure of wolfing down Thomas Heatherwick's latest book ‘Humanise – a Maker's Guide To Building Our World'. It is a point of view. A statement of intent. Perhaps, a manifesto. I have re-read it a few times, it is a spine broken, weighted with post its, lines and scribbles in margins favourite. And as I dove into the acknowledgements, I found a line which prompted today's conversation:"Thank you to Ben Prescott, the book's designer, [who] was wonderfully collaborative and intuitively understood what I have been trying to express."And I am delighted to say that we have graphic designer and founder of BPD, Ben Prescott joining us today to explore that very point.Ben Prescott is the salt in the recipe when it comes to brand building. Vital. Unassuming. Impactful. His approach is thoughtful, quiet, with a range of references so broad ranging and enticing that his presentations are works of art in and of themselves. He reads people with ease and draws their story onto the page, the website, the packaging, the shop window. He is commercially mindful and excellent at the tangible, the hold it in your hand, the it will last and last. What he does, works.BPD has worked with brands including Marfa Stance, Alex Eagle, Kinjo, the V&A, Broadwick Hotel in Soho, Twig Hutchinson and the Festival of Fashion at the Fife Arms. And in each and every instance, he has shown true expertise in reading the client. We are going to examine that idea, the importance, the relevance, the practical application of reading clients, understanding briefs and taking feedback. Whether you are on the service side of the arts or someone who commissions, collaborates or briefs others, you are going to enjoy this one.
Tune in as we hear from Pastor Ben Prescott about the importance of being connected to God. He brings insight into what it looks like to be constantly connected to the source.
Our Strippers leave the Attic and head out on tour to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, to find the strippers best friend – comedians. From working vaudeville shows to the birth of alternative comedy in the Raymond Revue bar the professions have always shared more than just a stage. Now they share the incredibly intimate two inches of mouth space around our microphone. Best not mention our girls walking through a creche in full pleasers and see through tops…This episode is bought to you by House of Vixens, Hosted by Buffy and Heaven, produced by Stephen Armstrong, edited by Adam Grigg, original soundtrack by Myron Cohen and Hart McNee and Artwork by Ben Prescott. Pain can stop you or slow you down, but God can use it to speak into your life. CS Lewis said "God whispers in our success, but SHOUTS in our Pain". Join us in this podcast as Pastor Sergio de la Mora returns with Pastor Ben to lead our steps back onto the Road to Restoration.
Pastor Sergio welcomes back Pastor Ben and in this podcast the gloves come off. When there's no spin to the mess, there's nothing else you can do, the pastors remind us GOD can take the catastrophe and still do something GREAT. Join us as we continue on the Road to Restoration.
Jesus said there are two roads, ONE that leads to destruction & ONE that leads to LIFE, but HE never said it would be easy. Pastor Sergio De La Mora leads us on a BitterSweet path. A path many are still on, some by accident, none by choice. Or at least not until now! Pastor Ben Prescott from Free Chapel Orange County joins Pastor De La Mora as they dismantle Peter's account of walking on water in the midst of the storm. We know Peter had seen Jesus calm a storm before, but this time around he didn't ask for the storm to be settled down. Instead he asked to be called out to Jesus. Some blame the storm, and label it as the problem and Jesus the solution. Yet, Pastor Ben reveals we may sometimes fear the SOLUTION more than the problem. Like Peter, believers know the storm cannot harm them with Jesus around, but what happens when you don't like the solution God has? Or should we just have Faith, be Brave, be Bold! The Pastors reveal God's Greatest Testament is not in the storms he settles, but on the storms HE stands next to us in. And like Daniel and his friends, when they were thrown into the furnace. God didn't put out the fire, HE showed up in the midst of it. Peter heard the sound of the scary wind, the splash of the unstable waves, and like Peter, we can focus on the scary sounds or Speak LIFE into our lives to rise above the waves and stand in the midst of the storms we face. Buckle up as Pastor Sergio & Pastor Ben set a new course, join us as we travel to-and-thru the storms together on the Road to Restoration.

Buffy and Heaven have been repping for strippers in the media almost since we launched. Big shout out to all our fans at the BBC, Grazia, the Times, the Guardian… and a big hello to Catherine Sloan! We could go on, but stripper skill number three: listen, don't talk. Jake Massay at LADBible has backed us from the off. He interviewed us again for the second season, and we had such a ball we thought we'd share the chat on objectification, relationships, how to behave in a club and dancing with family. It's a fitting end to season two – and we flag the start of something new. Stay with us, you beautiful freaks. Together we can go all the way. This episode is bought to you by House of Vixens, Hosted by Buffy and Heaven, produced by Stephen Armstrong, edited by Adam Grigg, original soundtrack by Myron Cohen and Hart McNee and Artwork by Ben Prescott. Buffy and Heaven welcome artist, activist and all round outrager Rose Wood, a child of the civil rights era with a life story that includes rooming in the Chelsea Hotel with Stormé DeLarverie – who threw the first punch at the Stonewall Riot, frequenting Studio 54, CBGBs and Crisco Disco in the 1970s, stripping in New York in the 1980s, sharing a bill with Dirty Martini, creating the darkest S&M based protest performance pieces you'll ever see and having Buffy insert butt plugs into her live on stage at the Box. It's a long story, an intense episode and essential listening. This episode is bought to you by House of Vixens, Hosted by Buffy and Heaven, produced by Stephen Armstrong, edited by Adam Grigg, original soundtrack by Myron Cohen and Hart McNee and Artwork by Ben Prescott. At some point every stripper gets asked – does your mother know? For our girls, damn right they do. With UK Mother's Day upon us, we issued Mommy Buffy and Mummy Heaven with stripper names – first pet and first street lived on - and asked them to spill the tea. Snuggle Puss Ricardo (Mummy Heaven) had a strict Catholic upbringing but went on the road with a rock n roll band while Charlie Victoria (Mommy Buffy… you'd expect better from San Francisco) assumed Buffy would be a madam and also went on the road with a rock n roll band. Expect very bawdy songs and mothers who love their daughters. This episode is bought to you by House of Vixens, Hosted by Buffy and Heaven, produced by Stephen Armstrong, edited by Adam Grigg, original soundtrack by Myron Cohen and Hart McNee and Artwork by Ben Prescott. Tarzan from the original London cast of Magic Mike almost shocks the unshockable Buffy and Heaven describing the scratching, grabbing, stamping and even biting right through his clothing that happened every night when the female audience got overexcited. Buffy and Heaven wonder if women are bigger sex pests then men, if given the booze, the night, the naked skin and the grinding tunes. Plus cock socks, cut throat auditions, stripping as a community service and Heaven goes back to work.To get hold of Tarzan's amazing juice you can follow him on Instagram - @pips.power.in.plants FB - pips.power.in.plants Website launching soon! This episode is bought to you by House of Vixens, Hosted by Buffy and Heaven, produced by Stephen Armstrong, edited by Adam Grigg, original soundtrack by Myron Cohen and Hart McNee and Artwork by Ben Prescott. What's the difference between male strippers and female strippers? Buffy and Heaven sit down with old hand Joe Exotic and find they have more in common than they thought. The trio compare epic fails from costume malfunctions through bad dancers to wildly uncomfortable encounters with audience members. Turns out women are way more inappropriate than men at strip shows – as Heaven recalls when narrowly escaping an invasive hen night and Joe Exotic describes the meet and grab sessions after every show. The one thing they don't share? Cock ring malfunctions. Do you want to have the best sex of your life? Fine if not. Don't listen to this episode. If you do, Buffy and Heaven have spent decades on the art of the sensual – and know the most important things to get right if you really want to blow your mind. Here's the cheat sheet: conversation, confidence, care, calculation and calm. Yeah, that doesn't help without the rest of their expertise – so you'll have to hear them discuss heteroflexibility, famous French Canadians they have slept with, Puddles the VIP room squirter, sex with pregnant women and how the strip club as the coal face of desire can be the perfect classroom for real pleasure. A Hollywood bad boy. A pastor’s daughter. What could possibly go wrong? Movie star Ben Prescott arrives back in Hollywood after causing a scandal with his ex-girlfriend in Rome. Chased through the airport by paparazzi, he jumps into a limo hoping for a quick getaway. Instead he finds Lily Shaw, a pastor’s daughter and preschool teacher. When the paparazzi capture a photo of the two of them together, Ben’s agent demands that he do whatever it takes to keep the story from hitting the gossip pages . . . even volunteer to work at Lily’s church. Sparks fly as the movie star and the pastor’s daughter work side by side. When Lily accompanies Ben to the premiere of his latest movie, Hollywood takes notice. Under intense media scrutiny and pressure from the movie industry, Ben must risk his career to follow his heart, but Lily wants the one thing he doesn’t have, faith. Free Chapel OC pastor, Ben Prescott shared with us what God has been revealing to him through his personal devotions in scripture. Genesis 12:2-3 says, "I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” The blessing...It's on me...It's in me...And it works for me.
