After a brilliant season premiere, what better way to chase it than with a Kate episode? Because if there is one thing that will make Kate stand out as a character, it's pairing her with Claire, another character who has struggled to remain compelling! Fortunately, after this lackluster episode we get to meet DR. BENJAMIN LINUS, restoring balance to the universe. If you enjoyed the show, please leave us a review wherever you listen to it! We talk "Dr. Linus" with Benjamin Linus himself, the great Michael Emerson. He tells us why he thinks Ben was a good-hearted person deep down all along, and why power was never right for him. We lament the corrupting influence of the Island — or maybe just Jacob. Find us on Twitter @TheHatchPodcast and at Facebook.com/TheHatchPodcast. Leave us your hot take at +1 954-6-DHARMA. Our theme music is by Andy G. Cohen and our cover art is by Danny Roth.

Lost: Season 5, Episode 1
Kenmily discovers the true meaning of friendship through Benjamin Linus and John Locke. Just in time for Christmas!
Today's guests are Lexi Christiansen and Sterling Beaumon. Lexi is a professional model and an incredible baker, seriously check out her cake decorating videos. Her boyfriend, Sterling an American actor and producer. He is known for his roles as Max Doyle in the 2008 film, Mostly Ghostly, and as young Benjamin Linus in the ABC television series, Lost. He has had guest roles in Law & Order SVU, Criminal Minds, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. He is recently starring in the movie, "Don't Log Off" featuring Ariel Winter and Luke Benward. Their love story is so cute and it's really interesting hearing both of their perspectives about the entertainment industry. Sterling has grown up in LA and is used to being in the limelight because it's all he's ever really known, Lexi, on the other hand, is originally from Vancouver, Canada, so she is fairly new to the whole "Hollywood World". In this episode, we talk about how they met on Instagram, the constant rejection and physical expectations of being in the modeling industry for Lexi, what it's really like to be a working actor and producer in LA (if it's too easy, you're not doing it right) if the entertainment industry is actually embracing diversity, and advice they have for those in a long-distance relationship, and meeting drake in the bathroom?! This was a really fun and light-hearted episode. I hope you enjoy it! Sponsored by STIL. I love their GET DONE planner - perfect for someone who has a busy schedule and trying to organize it all.
We jump forward, backwards, maybe even sideways in time to Season 5 where there's a whole lot of discussion about the finer details of time travel. Is there a paradox? Is everyone dead in the future? Is everyone dead in the past? How many surgeries will Benjamin Linus have to go through? What the hell is the wheel? Why is Jack still such a jerk? Should Syl watch the Anne Hathaway cinematic universe? Find out this and more, on this exciting episode of Lost at Random! On the Island, Locke promises Sawyer answers, and bring him to a cave covered in names and numbers. Names like Shephard, Reyes, and Ford. Others have been crossed off, like Austen and Locke. This is the stuff I love. What both of us love, though, is the return of Helen! In the FlashSidewaysVerse, we see that Locke, while still a bit petulant about his being in a wheelchair, is actually much happier. He and Helen are planning a wedding, he apparently has a good relationship with his father, and he gets a job as a substitute teacher. Also teaching there? A very uptight Benjamin Linus.

This long overdue episode of “The Transmission” looks back at Comic-Con and the aftermath (including “Mysteries of the Universe,” “LOST” University, and DamonCarltonandaPolarBear.com), looks ahead to our Season 3 Review (and the start of production for Season 6), and announces the Benjamin Linus bobble-head doll giveaway.
From the moment he first arrived on screen claiming to be an innocent balloonist marooned on the island, Benjamin Linus has been an unstoppable force on Lost. While normally depicted as a cold and calculating villain, it now seems that Linus is the only character who can bring the Oceanic Six back to the island, saving humanity in the process. Playing this complex and captivating character is Michael Emerson, a stage actor who made a name for himself on television by playing serial killer William Hinks on The Practice. We recently caught up with Emerson to talk about the complexities of Lost, the lighter side of Benjamin Linus and having microwavable food thrown at your head.
Michael Emerson (aka Benjamin Linus) from Lost joins us once again. We're well into season five and there is so much to discuss! Time travel, time shifting, machines, pendulums, who's related to who and what's so important about "children"? Always full of great hints and just like Lost, a few things are answered and a few new questions arise. p.s. Jimmy lost his voice at NYCC, so apologies for that. Good thing Joe is there to hold it together!
