I really enjoyed chatting with Malcolm Ashwood on Legends with Bevo recently and help promote Malcolm's new book 'The Definitive Rulebook.' We spoke about how the idea of the book came about and some of the guests that left a big impact on him including Sturt Football Club Inc. - SANFL premiership player Tim Weatherald who survived the Bali Bombings in 2002, Chris Grigg (father of Mitch) and his battles with MND and Glenelg Football Club (SANFL) premiership player Alan Stringer and how he overcame depression. Malcolm also gave his thoughts on whether the Tokyo Olympics should go ahead or not, the Crows and Port being in the SANFL and why he thinks the AFL national reserves competition is a good idea. Malcolm's book is available to purchase at Dillons Bookstore at Norwood, Colonnades Newsagency at Noarlunga and Southern Cross Newagency in the Adelaide CBD or you can contact Malcolm direct via Facebook. Thanks to Malcolm for his time, to Rory Noke from PodBooth for a great job of putting the video together and to our sponsors Kookaburra Homes, Anytime Fitness and Renelec Electrical Services.

This week we talk to the inspirational Chris Grigg who is fighting MND and raising money and awareness about the disease. Please go to 'Fight MND with Doc' if you'd like to help his cause. We also wrap up the 2018 AFL Grand Final and have our regular segments.
In front of an illustrious, albeit all male (we know, we asked) panel of judges at the New Diorama Theatre in London last night, six proptech start-ups pitched their businesses for the chance to claim as much as £150,000 of investment from VC investor Pi Labs. The inaugural EG Techtalk Academy, in partnership with Pi Labs, CBRE and KPMG, saw nervous and excited entrepreneurs battle against a five-minute stopwatch and the threat of being hooted off stage before enduring 10 minutes of frank and tough questioning from a panel that comprised Dominic Wilson, managing director of Pi Labs, Nick Leslau, chairman of Prestbury, Chris Grigg, chief executive of British Land, Dave Eisenberg, senior vice president of digital enablement and technology at CBRE, Mike Sherwood, former MD of Europe at Goldman Sachs and Kevin Brown, founding partner of REV. Six pitched but only one could be crowned the winner and take home the EG TechTalk Academy trophy, plus that investment with Pi Labs. For the judges, the winner was clear. It was a business that appealed to the financial brains on the panel as well as those that understood the true bricks and mortar of the real estate business. Demand Logic, led by Sonny Masero, is a “fitbit for buildings” a piece of tech that feeds into existing building management systems and rapidly reads that data to provide a fitness regime for the building.

Our panel of gaming boys are feeling particularly positive today, with Jace praising Doom, Joey praising Overwatch, Kevyn praising bad mobile games, and everyone praising The Long Dark. However, the boys mourn this week’s absence of Max “Max” Damage, and respectfully pay tribute by making up funny games that call question to Joey’s dark past. Also apparently Jace has a stroke as his pitch becomes completely unintelligible. Buy our next game of the week, Jalopy, here! http://store.steampowered.com/app/446020/ Music used in this episode: Hideto Maeda, Konomi Ito, Hironori Tanaka, Hiroyuki Naka – To The Boiler Room! (The Firemen, SNES) David Warhol, George Sanger, Chris Grigg, David Lawrence – Jeff’s Theme (Maniac Mansion, NES)
This episode features one of Tom's favorite game genres, point-and-click adventures. The music this week is a bit more ambient than usual, but still enjoyable as usual. Lots of Lucas Arts games are featured, as well as many Western composers.Download MP3 Tracklist (full info here):
The view from the top of business. Presented by Evan Davis, The Bottom Line cuts through confusion, statistics and spin to present a clearer view of the business world, through discussion with people running leading and emerging companies. In the week that Facebook launched its own new messaging service, Evan and his panel of top business guests discuss the role of email at work, amid the many different ways of messaging and communicating. And location, location, location. It's a cliche that location can make or break a business, but how true is it really? And what are the advantages of being next door to the competition? Evan is joined in the studio by Chris Grigg, chief executive of property company British Land; Andrew Horton, chief executive of insurance company Beazley; Raghav Bahl, founder of Indian television news group Network 18. Producer: Ben Crighton Last in the series. The Bottom Line returns in January 2011.
