"In the wilderness, we must encounter the past – and the unknown future." Sermon by Elaine Stewart Harris, Abbot of the Cornerstone Community at Trinity, recorded live at the 10:00am service on the Third Sunday of Advent, December 15, 2024.
In this episode, I speak with Wife, Mom, and Entrepreneur Cassie Darabos on Answering The Call To Lead. Cassie has been married to John for 13 years. Together they have two daughters, Jael and Joy. They have been a homeschool family for 6 years. God has been so good to bless her with the opportunity to start a family led homeschool co-op group, Cornerstone Community. Together, their family enjoys beach days, boat days, or rainy days at home. Cassie enjoys listening to a variety of podcasts and audiobooks. She sees how her enjoyment has transferred to her children as they also enjoy listening to audio cd's. That's right, cd's! She serves in preschool ministry as well as Bible study at her local church. Saying yes to serving is probably one of the best blessings she has been a part of. She loves to laugh, smile, and talk to her friends on a deep level. God is good and His timing is perfect. Listen as Cassie shares how being obedient and listening to the Lord has lead her to explore greater ventures in life and leadership. Cassie shows that when we listen to the prompting of the Holy Spirit, we are open to the bigger things that the Lord has created us for. She believes we receive the confidence needed for those ventures from past experiences given to us by no one other than our Heavenly Father. Welcome to the Drive Thru Mom's Podcast! When she ran into a woman sharing information describing a new childcare program in her area, she never thought she would qualify. But she did! After learning what it meant to be a part of a program to bridge the gap for kiddos between preschool ages and kindergarten with her own children, Rebecca's love for children grew into an lifelong path only God can pave. This week we talk to my longtime childhood friend, Rebecca Connell, about her personal as well as career journey with Head Start.
