At the heart of its innovation is hypochlorous acid (HOCL), a powerful yet natural disinfectant that Matt Condon, Founder of Emerald Prairie, describes as “nature's disinfectant.” In today's episode, Matt shared how his company is challenging the status quo with products that are effective, safe, and eco-friendly.HOCL isn't new. In fact, it has been around since World War I when it was used to treat soldiers. “It is an incredibly powerful antibacterial disinfectant,” Matt explained. “It would be ubiquitous throughout the country and the world if not for the way the chemical industrial complex evolved.” Emerald Prairie has found a way to scale the production of HOCL, offering a solution that's “made by your body” and safe enough to spray on your hands or even in your mouth. What makes Emerald Prairie stand out isn't just HOCL's effectiveness; it's the company's commitment to transparency and environmental impact. “All of our ingredients are on every label—nothing hidden,” Matt said. He added that the products not only avoid harming the environment but actually benefit it. “The best thing that can happen to hypochlorous acid is it gets to the water system because it kills the biofilm.”Emerald Prairie's business is thriving. The company has seen a surge in subscriptions, which Matt described as resembling the “proverbial hockey stick.” This growth, he believes, reflects customer trust and satisfaction. Emerald Prairie's solutions are produced in Kansas, reflecting the company's commitment to local manufacturing. To scale its impact and reach, Emerald Prairie is raising capital via a regulated investment crowdfunding campaign on Wefunder. This approach aligns with Matt's mission to connect directly with customers and investors who share his vision.Emerald Prairie isn't just selling safe cleaning products; it's starting a movement. By replacing toxic chemicals with solutions that are safe for families and the environment, Matt and his team are proving that you don't have to compromise safety for effectiveness. This is your chance to join a revolution in home care—by supporting Emerald Prairie, you can help make the world a cleaner, safer place.tl;dr:Matt Condon explained how Emerald Prairie's products use hypochlorous acid to deliver safe, effective cleaning. The company's all-natural solutions are environmentally beneficial, improving ecosystems instead of harming them.Emerald Prairie is scaling operations with local production and growing customer subscriptions rapidly.Matt revealed his passion for building purpose-driven ventures that align with his values and mission. The company is raising funds via regulated crowdfunding, inviting supporters to invest in its growth. How to Develop Turning Passion Into Purpose As a SuperpowerMatt Condon's superpower is his ability to transform passion into purpose-driven business ventures. He explained, “I've been so fortunate in my career to go through…efforts where I wasn't really focused on the sales revenue as much as doing something…that the world needed.” This approach, he shared, reflects a belief that “capitalism is the most powerful engine of good in the world.” For Matt, success comes from aligning his passions with businesses that create meaningful impact while maintaining financial viability.Matt shared how his passion for solving real-world problems led him to create a network of clinics providing top-tier healthcare to workers like farmers, firefighters, and police officers. Drawing inspiration from his roots in a farming community, Matt realized that the quality of care available to professional athletes could and should be extended to laborers. He built clinics that offered advanced healthcare solutions, improving outcomes for countless individuals in physically demanding jobs. This venture not only succeeded financially but also changed lives, exemplifying how passion-driven businesses can create profound impact.Tips for Developing This Superpower:Identify Problems You're Passionate About Solving: Focus on challenges that resonate with your values and experiences.Take Calculated Risks: Embrace risk as part of the journey to create meaningful impact.Build Around a Mission: Ensure your business aligns with a core purpose beyond profitability.Engage Support Systems: Surround yourself with people who believe in your vision and can provide encouragement.Stay Focused Amid Noise: Cut out distractions to concentrate on what truly matters.By following Matt's example and advice, you can make turning passion into purpose a skill. With practice and effort, you could make it a superpower that enables you to do more good in the world.Remember, however, that research into success suggests that building on your own superpowers is more important than creating new ones or overcoming weaknesses. You do you!Guest ProfileMatthew (Matt) Condon (he/him):Founder, Emerald Prairie HealthAbout Emerald Prairie Health: At Emerald Prairie Health, our mission began with a discovery—not of a new chemistry, but of how to finally unlock one that scientists have trusted for over a century. In this special solo episode of The Rainmaking Podcast, host Scott Love shares a timely message on building strategic alliance partnerships—perfectly aligned with the values celebrated during the Fourth of July. Scott distinguishes these partnerships from simple referral relationships by defining them as intentional, mutually beneficial collaborations where both parties actively promote each other's solutions. Scott offers practical steps to develop two to five meaningful strategic alliances, including identifying thought leaders in your niche, reaching out with genuine value, and planting seeds for long-term collaboration. Whether it's sitting on panels, co-hosting webinars, or quoting others in your writing, Scott outlines how small, intentional actions can lead to powerful results. He encourages listeners to document their goals, take focused action, and build these relationships organically over time. Meet Chelsey and Stephen Diaz, the dynamic founders of The Rainmaker Family, dedicated to guiding families towards financial abundance and time freedom so they can leave a thriving family legacy. Taking a bold step in 2017, they shifted from a service-based wedding photography business where they were trading dollars for hours to go all in online passive income opportunity. Now they focus on empowering moms to use the same method they developed to become RAINMAKERS for their own families. Specializing in e-commerce and building brands, the Diaz duo champions the idea of “buying back time,” enabling moms in their community to run successful 6 and 7-figure businesses while cherishing moments with loved ones. In their Rainmaker Mastermind program, Chelsey and Stephen guide entrepreneurs in building, scaling, and then selling an Amazon business. Ranked #148 on the Inc 5000 list, and #2 in the category of education, these two are reshaping online learning, proving that success in business can coexist harmoniously with a family-first approach. Listen in to hear Chelsey and Stephen's story of how they got involved in this unexpected adventure that began with the “Spaghetti Years.” Culminating in 2019 – 2020 when their wedding business effectively vanished and their e-commerce businesses flourished, Chelsey and Stephen went all-in on their new entrepreneurial path knowing there was no magic pill or overnight success, but driven by their mutual vision for their future. In this episode they talk about the complementary superpowers they each contribute to their organization and share stories about the obstacles and fears they have overcome along the way. Keeping intententional team culture at the forefront has allowed them to spend more time with their family, knowing that their leaders and team will rise to the occasion and elevate it! At the heart of it all is to be of contribution, empowering their community of entrepreneurs, with a focus on moms, to reacquaint them with their identity and become RAINMAKERS for their families.
1 year ago, a law firm founder told me their biggest fear. (It wasn't AI.)It was losing the rainmaker. The partner who brings in the big clients. The one who could walk out & take half the revenue with them. For decades, that's how law firms grew. But things are shifting.AI isn't just automating admin. It's DEMOCRATISING business development. This doesn't replace your rainmakers. It amplifies what makes them greatSo you're not left exposed. So growth doesn't depend on one person.Because the real risk isn't losing your rainmaker. It's building a firm that only works if they stay.Today, I'm sitting down with Jody Glidden and James Wang, the founders of Postilize, a groundbreaking AI platform that's transforming how law firms build relationships and win business.Jody is a serial legal tech entrepreneur and the brains behind Introhive, a leading CRM intelligence platform.James is a BlackBerry veteran who led global ISV strategy, secured over $30M in partner-driven revenue.Today we talk about a topic that I've never heard people discuss, will AI kill the traditional law firm rainmaker?Find Postilize here:https://www.postilize.com/ Hosted on Acast. How can law firm partners get better at business development, given how important it's become to their work? That's the subject of “The Activator Advantage: What Today's Rainmakers Do Differently,” published by the Harvard Business Review Press. Orrick chairman Mitch Zuklie described the book as “groundbreaking for our rising stars, helping them understand what our most successful partners do.”Last month, I interviewed Dr. Matthew Dixon, the book's lead author and a co-founder of DCM Insights, a growth consultancy for professional-services firms. Although not a lawyer by training (he holds a Ph.D in political economy), Dixon has spent countless hours with lawyers over the years, advising them and other providers of professional services on how to excel at business development. To write “The Activator Advantage,” Dixon and his co-authors conducted what they called the “Rainmaker Genome Project.” They surveyed almost 3,000 individuals at more than 40 professional-services firms—with lawyers, at 39% of respondents, constituting the largest cohort in the study—to understand their approaches to business development. Here's what they learned—along with practical advice for how to apply their research findings to your own efforts at business development. In this episode of The Rainmaking Podcast, host Scott Love speaks with Jason Levin, business development coach and author of Relationships to Infinity: The Art and Science of Keeping in Touch. The conversation explores the critical role of follow-up in building a sustainable legal practice. Jason outlines how many law firm partners approach client development with a short-term mindset, expecting results from one-time efforts like publishing an article or attending a conference. Instead, he advocates for an ongoing process rooted in understanding decision-makers, asking insightful questions, and maintaining authentic, relationship-based outreach. Jason shares practical tactics partners can implement to stay top of mind with clients and internal referral sources. He introduces the concept of a "30-point system" to gamify outreach efforts and emphasizes the power of micro-habits—small, consistent actions like checking in with colleagues or sharing relevant content. From CRM tracking to gratitude-based follow-ups, Jason's methods are grounded in both social science and professional success stories. Listeners walk away with clear action steps to create structured follow-up systems, improve internal collaboration, and build deeper connections that lead to more business. In Episode 249 of The Rainmaking Podcast, Scott Love welcomes back productivity strategist and international speaker Sarah Tetlow to discuss the power of effective delegation for rainmakers. Sarah introduces her TORQUE model—Trust, Organized, Repetition, Quality, Understanding, and Eliminate control—as a strategic framework for lawyers and professionals looking to delegate more effectively and free up time for high-value rainmaking activities. She emphasizes that mutual trust and respect between delegator and delegate are foundational, and that anticipating workflow and planning ahead—even with just 15–30 minutes daily—can unlock time and resources for better outcomes. Through practical advice and relatable anecdotes, Sarah shows how thoughtful delegation leads to improved team performance and personal productivity. Sarah also highlights the psychological roadblocks to delegation—especially perfectionism and control—and shares actionable insights for overcoming them. She encourages professionals to invest in their team, create repeatable processes, and embrace the reality that 80% of someone else's effort, if done consistently, can exceed the output of going it alone. The episode concludes with Sarah offering a free delegation toolkit on her site, helping listeners take immediate action to implement TORQUE in their own practices. I had a great conversation with co-author of the new book, "The Activator Advantage"'s Karen Freeman. Here is some information about the book from DCM Insights: There is a growing problem in the professional services industry that is often acknowledged but rarely discussed openly: clients—even long-standing ones for whom firms have delivered unquestioned value in the past—are much less loyal to firms and partners than they once were. But top performers have figured out a radical new approach that is redefining what it means to be a "rainmaker" in today's professional services market. Drawing on a comprehensive, quantitative study of nearly 3,000 professional services partners, The Activator Advantage identifies the five types of partners found across the professional services landscape and shows how only one of them—the Activator—drives consistent growth. Karen and I talked about what activators do: commit, connect, and create. In this episode of The Rainmaking Podcast, host Scott Love speaks with Matt Dixon—bestselling author of The Challenger Sale and The Jolt Effect—about his latest research and book, The Activator Advantage: What Today's Rainmakers Do Differently. Based on data from the Rainmaker Genome Project, Matt introduces five rainmaker profiles, highlighting the “Activator” as the most effective. Activators stand out by committing consistently to business development, building broad and deep networks, and proactively delivering value to clients before they even ask for it. Rather than relying on personality, Activators succeed through behavior—habits, systems, and deliberate outreach. Matt explains that Activators aren't just connectors; they transform insights and introductions into meaningful client engagements. They develop daily routines, use platforms like LinkedIn strategically, and focus on helping others as a way of building trust and generating future opportunities. This episode also breaks down three action steps for aspiring rainmakers: plan business development time weekly, expand and engage your network, and proactively share insights that clients didn't know they needed. With data-driven insights and real-world examples, this conversation offers a powerful blueprint for professionals who want to become indispensable advisors. In this episode, Kris speaks with Matthew Dixon, founding partner of DCM Insights and bestselling author, about his latest research on business development in professional services. Drawing on a global study of 3,000 partners, Dixon outlines five distinct sales profiles and highlights the “Activator” as the only approach consistently linked to higher revenue performance. Key insights: - Traditional models of client loyalty are eroding, with fewer clients returning automatically to the same firm. - Top performers distinguish themselves by proactively delivering value, leveraging internal and external networks, and consistently committing time to business development. - Effective firms drive adoption of these behaviors not through mandates, but by enabling teams with tools, mentorship, and a culture of collaboration. - Technology, including AI and network management tools, reduces the time required to execute these strategies, but success ultimately relies on human relationships and judgment. Dixon's upcoming book, The Activator Advantage, provides a practical guide for partners and leaders seeking to future-proof client engagement strategies in a more competitive and fast-changing market. Matthew Dixon, co-founder of DCM Insights, is a researcher who's spent much of his career studying the shared characteristics and behaviors of successful B2B salespeople. In 2011, he released a study called “The Challenger Sale.” While giving a keynote on his findings at an annual partner retreat, an audience member stood up and challenged him. “He said, ‘Dr. Dixon, you've been talking for 45 minutes about sales effectiveness and salespeople and selling and sales process, and it's all very fascinating and I'm sure our clients would be very interested in this,'” Dixon recounts to the ABA Journal's Lee Rawles in this episode of The Modern Law Library. “‘And after all, we do a lot of consulting around go-to-market strategy. But what maybe you don't recognize is that we are partners at our firm. We are not salespeople. In fact, there's not a single salesperson in this audience. I might go so far as to say we don't sell anything here.'” Dixon was taken aback. “What I realized was this world of partnerships, of professional services, of doer-sellers is actually quite a bit different from the world of sales and what we had written and all this research we'd done over the years.” In 2022, he tackled this population with the Rainmaker Genome Project, a study that became the basis for The Activator Advantage: What Today's Rainmakers Do Differently, co-written by Dixon, Rory Channer, Karen Freeman and Ted McKenna. The Rainmaker Genome Project surveyed 3,000 partner-level professionals in 41 firms across law, public relations, accounting and investment banking. About 39% of respondents were lawyers. Each received a score for effectiveness in business development and were analyzed for how they provided client services. And it turns out that partner was correct: What makes a lawyer an effective rainmaker is not necessarily what makes a salesperson effective. After doing a vector analysis on the data, “what we found was that every one of those 3,000 professionals could be placed into one of five business development profiles,” says Dixon. The five profiles were the expert, the confidant, the debater, the challenger and the activator. Dixon stresses that the five categories are not about personality. While personalities are immutable, behaviors can be changed. “These are about the things we can all learn to be better at,” says Dixon. “It's about how we spend our time, how we engage clients, how we use resources, how we collaborate with colleagues—and those are things we can all get better at with the right training, coaching and support from our firms.” In this episode, Dixon expands on each type, but the most effective performers in business development were the activators. “The reason we chose the term ‘activator' instead of ‘connector'—people have asked—is that they're not about collecting business cards and letting them collect dust or just hoarding LinkedIn connections,” Dixon tells Rawles. “What these folks do is try to turn these relationships into paying client relationships. They activate those relationships by proactively bringing new ideas—ways to mitigate risk, make money, save money—to clients.” Dixon offers practical advice on how to behave like an activator, including the most effective ways to use LinkedIn. Lawyers and other client-servicing professionals can't just sit back and wait for business to find them, he warns. “Whether we like to admit it or not, clients are less loyal today than they once were,” he says. “They're less likely to come back automatically to their incumbent provider. No matter how great the relationship or the value you've delivered, they're forcing us to compete in ways we didn't have to in the past. So activators want a backup plan. They know today's great client might not be a client tomorrow, no matter what you've done. So you need a backup plan.”

In this episode of The Art of Charm, we sit down with Matt Dixon, co-author of The Challenger Sale and The Activator Advantage. In today's conversation, Matt Dixon reveals why the professionals dominating in today's market aren't necessarily the most credentialed, but the most proactive. We explore Matt's research across 3,000 professionals and break down the five business development personas, highlighting the unique traits and habits that make the “Activator” profile the highest performer of them all. Whether you're in sales, consulting, law, or simply trying to future-proof your career, adopting the activator mindset can radically shift how you're perceived and what doors open next. This episode will show you how to stop waiting for opportunity—and start creating it. What to Listen For [00:00:00] Why clients forget about you—and how activators stay top of mind [00:01:14] The 5 business development personas and why activators win [00:09:56] Data shows activators are the top performers—and least likely to fail [00:17:52] How activators manage their network like a pipeline—not a popularity contest [00:24:13] The myth of being annoying: why clients want more outreach, not less [00:33:08] “No” isn't the end: how activators turn rejection into opportunity [00:39:24] The 4-part insight framework for opening doors with ideas [00:45:57] Why you must prune stale relationships to stay high-impact [00:54:49] The activator approach to events: plan, target, and follow through [01:01:53] Don't just post on LinkedIn—why DMs and engagement matter more Episode Takeaways: Activators don't rely on being top of mind—they engineer it by adding value consistently. Smart professionals build leverage by helping others long before there's anything to gain. Great client relationships aren't the result of great work—they're often the cause of it. Build trust early, not just after the sale. No doesn't mean never. Activators stay present, learn why they lost, and often get the callback when things go sideways. Learn to prune. Lee shares how founders often unintentionally set the tone for a misaligned culture by being unclear or inconsistent in their own presentation. She encourages professionals to examine whether their image truly reflects their values and vision, starting with a self-assessment and extending to the client journey. With practical tips on dress culture, onboarding, and internal communication, this episode offers a thoughtful guide to building a brand from the inside out—one that not only looks the part, but delivers on it. Our episode features Jonathan Rundman, singer/songwriter from Minneapolis, who has a new Americana rock and roll album called "Waves". It is a fascinating and fun talk about 80's rock music, The Silos and the circle of friends that includes Cracker, The Vulgar Boatmen, and all they that have influenced. If you dig 80s rock, his tales are what you might want. We talk about Bob Seger, the Rainmakers, The Hooters, and lots more. Born and raised in the isolated Finnish-American communities of Michigan's Upper Peninsula, and now based in Minneapolis, Rundman twists smart, cinematic, rock and roll lyrics, pop hooks, and garage attitude into his songs. In addition to his solo career, Rundman tours and records as keyboardist for legendary New York City-based Americana/rock band The Silos. Rundman released his first new album in ten years in April, 2025 and is on a Midwest tour opening for the Silos. For the past decade he's been touring and recording with Walter Salas-Humara and The Silos. The pre-release single from the album, “Elizabeth, Don't Waste Your Breath” was co-written with Salas-Humara and the second single from the record, “Let's Put On An Opera”, champions the artistic process, backed by vintage analog keyboards from the 1960s, including a Wurlitzer electric piano, a Vox Continental organ, and a real tape-powered Chamberlin. His producer, Ron Gomez, told Jonathan that he should record some interstitial music, instrumental pieces that weave in between the songs. "We talked about albums we liked, featuring these kinds of moments, like the acoustic transition after the song 'Nights of Mystery' by the Georgia Satellites. Referencing "Nights of Mystery"? I'm all in. That's what I needed to hear. You like the Vulgar Boatmen? Del Fuegos? Replacements? Gear Daddies? Cracker? A little Elvis Costello and Rockpile? Hey Rainmakers! Chelsey and Stephen here, and we are back diving even deeper into the Rainmaker Method! If you missed Part 1: Leverage (Episode 202), go back and listen because today we're covering Part 2: Solution. This is the heart of every business—finding a problem to solve and creating a solution that people will pay for. We're breaking down how every successful business, big or small, thrives by solving problems. Whether it's a physical product, a digital offer, or even a service, the key is to identify a real need in the marketplace and meet it in a way that creates impact and income. But here's the catch—if your solution isn't paired with leverage (pillar one), you'll end up overwhelmed, overworked, and burnt out. We learned this the hard way, so we're here to help you avoid those mistakes. One of the biggest takeaways from this episode is the "solutionary mindset." Businesses don't exist without problems to solve. The bigger the problem, the more valuable the solution. We even share insights from MrBeast (yes, the YouTuber!) and how he turned the chocolate industry on its head by solving a massive global issue—ethical sourcing. Whether you're starting a new business or refining your current one, thinking bigger about the impact of your solution is the game-changer. We also dive into how to test your idea before you spend tons of time or money building it. Will people actually pay for it? Will strangers buy it? We share our experiences launching Rainmakers, testing products in the wedding industry, and even flopping on ideas that seemed amazing but weren't marketable. If you've ever wondered, "Will my idea work?"—this episode will give you the exact steps to find out before you invest too much. Stick with us because we're leading up to Part 3: Automation—where we'll show you how to take your solution and scale it in a way that doesn't require you to be involved 24/7. Let's dive in! Pat Gillette disagrees. In this episode of The Lawyer's Edge, Elise Holtzman sits down with Pat Gillette to discuss why women lawyers must advocate for themselves, step into leadership, and take control of their careers. Drawing on her decades of experience and groundbreaking research on rainmakers, Pat unpacks the systemic barriers that hold women back, the myths about business development, and the practical strategies women can use to break through. She shares why firms must do more than talk about diversity—they must remove the structural obstacles that keep women from developing business and taking on leadership roles. She also reveals how women can successfully build books of business while balancing other responsibilities. 2:02 – Pat's legal career and why she transitioned from practice to advocacy 6:21 – The slow evolution of gender equity in law firms—and what still needs to change 8:09 – The hidden structural barriers that impact women's rainmaking potential 10:55 – How the Mansfield Rule is redefining leadership opportunities in law firms 14:00 – The biggest misconception about business development—and why women are built for it 19:36 – How prioritization and compartmentalization are key to long-term success 22:43 – Why women must actively seek mentorship and sponsorship 27:05 – The simple but powerful career advice Pat gives every woman lawyer: Just ask! In this episode, Steve Fretzin and Bruce La Fetra discuss:The importance of understanding your best clientsMarketing strategy for law firms in a competitive landscapeThe difference between experts and advisorsThe power of client testimonials and validation Key Takeaways:The best clients are not only more profitable but also easier to work with, as they buy faster, pay more, and create fewer headaches, making them essential for long-term business growth.Law firm marketing should shift from highlighting expertise to showcasing the real-world impact of legal services, such as improving business operations, reducing risks, or increasing revenue.Client testimonials are most effective when they emphasize specific, measurable outcomes—like increased working capital or faster contract execution—rather than vague endorsements.A law firm's messaging, from its website to client conversations, should be strategically crafted to reflect what its best clients truly value, ensuring better alignment and stronger relationships. What sets successful business developers—aka rainmakers—apart in today's legal landscape? Inspired by a Harvard Business Review article and a recent conversation with a friend, Tyson breaks down a study that identified five different types of business developers and explains why only one type actually leads to sustainable firm growth.Key Takeaways:The Declining Client Loyalty Trend: In 2018, 76% of clients stuck with their law firms; by 2023, that number dropped to 53%, and by 2028, it's expected to be just 37%.The Five Business Development Profiles:The Expert – Focuses solely on skill mastery, assuming clients will come. The Confidant – Builds strong client relationships but lacks a structured growth strategy. The Debater – Challenges clients and pushes hard for innovation but risks alienating them. The Realist – Offers brutal honesty but can be perceived as pessimistic. The Activator (The winning strategy) – Proactively builds and leverages relationships, making strategic connections and driving business growth. The Activator Playbook – How to Grow Your Firm Like a True Rainmaker:Commit to Business Development:Set aside dedicated time (at least 2-3 hours per week) for networking, outreach, and lead generation.Balance time between nurturing existing clients and acquiring new ones.Expand and Leverage Your Network:Attend industry events and engage on LinkedIn.Introduce clients to other attorneys and create strategic partnerships.Set a goal to make three new connections per week.Create Value Before Clients Ask:Send legal updates, trends, and strategic advice without waiting for clients to request it.Offer proactive insights tailored to your clients' needs.Choose 5-10 key clients and send them something valuable this week (a checklist, legal update, business tip, etc.).Action Steps:Start blocking time for business development on your calendar.Actively seek and make three new connections each week.Find ways to provide unexpected value to clients to reinforce your authority and relationships.Connect with us!Text Tyson at 314-501-9260 with your thoughts or questions.Submit podcast topics or questions at maximumlawyer.com/ask.Don't miss future episodes—subscribe to the Maximum Lawyer Podcast on your favorite podcast platform! During the Poock's Post segment of Ep. 21 of the Ask the Law Firm Seller Show, Jeremy E. Poock, Esq. addresses the following question: Digital disruption will continue eroding the Books of Business of Senior Attorney-led law firms in the Mid-2020s As Poock explains, 2020 introduced the “digital pivot” to the legal industry, where consumers, i.e., would be clients pivoted in 2020 to searching for lawyers and law firms online, primarily by searching Google. By the Mid-2020s, Growing Law Firms have adjusted and adopted Multi-Channel Digital Marketing to attract the attention of clients who seek to know, like, and trust lawyers and law firms before contacting them. As Poock points out, Uncle Google has become America's greatest referral source for lawyers and law firms, replacing the pre-Google Word-of-Mouth Era and by-passing yester-year's Rainmakers. Regarding the impact of digital marketing disruption upon the value of the Books of Business of Senior Attorney-led firms, Poock states, “If you are not generating clients digitally via Multi-Channel Digital Marketing, what we are seeing is that [the] Books of Business of Senior Attorney-led law firms [are] not replenishing as much as it did in yesteryear. So really senior attorneys in particular.” Poock also addresses the following to Senior Attorney law firm owners: “We really want to get the message across that you are on notice that if you are not replenishing your Book of Business as much as you did in yester-year, your law firm is just going to be worth less and less as this decade continues.” In addition, Poock shares the following good news with Senior Attorneys in the mid-2020s: Even if today's Senior Attorneys do not replenish their Books of Business similar to yester-year due to not adopting Multi-Channel Digital Marketing, they continue to offer the following value to Growing Law Firm buyers: (1) A Book of Business filled with clients that Senior Attorneys worked during an entire career to develop. (2) An experienced workforce, including senior associates and junior partners who prefer to continue as key employee lawyers rather than purchase their boss' law practice, as well as well trained and experienced paralegals and legal assistants; and (3) The ability to convert decades worth of subject matter knowledge into digital content to post to Multi-Channel Digital Marketing platforms, which today's Growing Law Firms need to attract the attention of today's and tomorrow's would-be clients who search Google and social media when researching lawyers and law firms to retain for the legal needs. As Poock states, “[N]ow, in the mid-2020s, is the best time for Senior Attorney-led firms that are not committed to Multi-Channel Digital Marketing to consider selling your law firms . . . [w]hile you still have these three resources that Growing Law Firms want and need . . . .”

Hey Rainmakers! It's Chelsey and Stephen here, and today we're diving into a story that's equal parts inspiring and practical. If you've ever wondered whether you can balance entrepreneurship with raising a family and still build a legacy, you're going to love this episode. We're chatting with Krista Meikle, one of our incredible Rainmakers, who's gone from serial entrepreneur to running a thriving six-figure golf brand on Amazon—all while being a mom. Krista's entrepreneurial journey started years ago when she and her husband launched their first business: a wedding website company. Although they sold the business, it sparked a love for creativity and problem-solving. Over the years, she's tried her hand at everything from fitness coaching to interior design, but joining the Rainmaker Family gave her a new framework for success. Krista shares how finding our program on a flight to Hawaii in 2023 was the “God thing” she didn't know she needed. In this episode, Krista reveals how she launched her first product, a seashell pillow, and used it to learn the ropes of Amazon FBA. Once she got comfortable, she leaned into her passion for golf to create Oberti Golf, a brand focused on giving women confidence on the golf course. Krista highlights the unique challenges she's faced in building a brand that balances innovation and demand while staying true to her vision. We also dive into the mindset shifts that have transformed Krista's approach to entrepreneurship. From learning to let go of perfectionism to outsourcing tasks like PPC (pay-per-click ads), she shares practical tips that have helped her scale faster and work smarter. Her journey is proof that success comes from taking small, consistent steps—even if it's just an hour a day after the kids are in bed. So, whether you're just starting your business journey or looking for ways to scale, this episode is packed with gold nuggets you can apply today. Let Krista's story remind you that it's never too late to dream big and create a lasting legacy. BLACK FRIDAY SPECIAL DETAILS HERE: https://rainmakerlinks.com/podmcm Hey Rainmakers! It's Stephen here with a special Black Friday episode just for you. We've never done this before, but we're pulling back the curtain on a unique opportunity to leverage social media, build influence, and turn it into a stream of income—all without ever showing your face. Sound too good to be true? Stick around, and I'll show you exactly how it works. This strategy, called Media Channel Mastery, taps into the power of theme pages and proven viral content. You don't need to be a traditional influencer, learn TikTok dances, or even shoot your own content. Instead, you'll learn how to curate and grow a social media channel focused on a specific niche, using the latest algorithm insights to gain visibility and traction. Platforms like Instagram are changing the game, favoring small creators and interest-based content over follower counts, which means there's no better time to get started. In this episode, I break down how you can build influence by sharing content that's already been proven to go viral—what we call PVC (Proven Viral Content). I also share real-world examples from our Rainmaker community, including accounts that have grown to tens of thousands of followers in just weeks. With the right strategy, these media channels can generate income through digital products, affiliate partnerships, and even ad placements, all while staying faceless if that's your preference. This Black Friday, we're offering an exclusive deal on our Media Channel Mastery course—normally $1,000—for a fraction of the price. It's your chance to jumpstart your journey into faceless influence, leveraging the same strategies that have helped our community grow exponentially. Ready to take action? A few years back, I made an episode of Marketing Secrets about becoming a "RainMaker"—someone who brings in leads and drives revenue within a company, ensuring unlimited earning potential. I originally shot this for a friend, but this principle is far too easily forgotten so I wanted to return to it with you. So whether you're an entrepreneur or technician, this concept is critical for anyone trying to increase their earning potential. I explore the three main roles in any business: the entrepreneur, the technician, and the rainmaker. While technicians are vital for a business's operations, they often have income ceilings, unlike rainmakers, who possess the ability to bring in new customers and generate money. Becoming a rainmaker means you're indispensable, and there are no limits to your income because you're directly responsible for the company's growth. I also dive into the mindset shifts required to make this transformation, whether you're a videographer, doctor, or anything in between. Key highlights: Entrepreneur vs. Technician: Why technicians often have income caps, while entrepreneurs and rain makers have limitless potential. The Role of the Rainmaker: How to shift your focus from perfecting your craft to making money. Becoming Invaluable: Strategies for positioning yourself as a rainmaker within an organization. Immersion & Learning: Why deep learning and surrounding yourself with the right knowledge are key to mastering this skill. Discover how you can take control of your financial future by mastering the art of making it rain in your business or career by tuning in!
