This Week on Ring of Fire! The Right Wing world is freaking out over the revelations from the January 6th Committee's televised hearings, and it is going to take a lot of effort on their part to dig themselves out of this hole. With more hearings on the horizon - and a public that actually seems interested - these events could impact voters ahead of the midterms. Jesse Dollemore, host of the I Doubt It Podcast, will discuss the hearings with us this week.

Today’s episode is my NaNoCon presentation “How to Avoid Activist Burnout.” The audio you are about to hear is the 20 minute opening talk and my closing words at the end. What you won’t hear is the discussion questions I asked the audience to discuss among themselves because I didn’t want to put people’s voices online without permission. This week we got the old band back together with a very special +1, friend of the show Jesse Dollemore stops by to look at the road ahead and talk about what we're going to do in light of the recent presidential election. Christy brings herself before the court as we talk safety pins in our "Am I A Jerk" segment, and then Jeremy covers what a Donald Trump presidency means for NASA and the space program. As discussed on the show: - You can find Jesse Dollemore on his podcast "I Doubt It With Dollemore", his YouTube channel, and of course tweet him @Dollemore - Sign the petition to eliminate the electoral college (via: MoveOn.org) - Questioning Safety Pin Solidarity Revealed Why I Can't Trust White People (by Ijeoma Oluo) - What will Donald Trump's space program look like? He is also a tenure-track professor at Ohio State University, and a historian of science researching the intersection of history, psychology, and cognitive neuroscience, focusing on meaning and purpose, decision-making, emotions, and agency. Joining me again today is Justin Scott. You may remember him from a few weeks ago when he came on my show to talk about asking the current presidential candidates about religious freedom. Well, he’s back to talk about his experience volunteering with American Atheists at this year’s Conservative Political Action Conference (or CPAC for short). This is a conversation you don’t want to miss! This week we talk parenting with writer, mommy blogger, and TBTL superfan Toni "the whitest ten" Hammer. Toni recently wrote an article titled "I Never Wanted Children" and a companion piece on her personal blog "A Letter to My Children Whom I Never Wanted" that both seemed to garner quite a bit of attention. We talk with Toni about her own journey of parenting, what it's like to be so open on the internet, and what to do when our kids are old enough to figure out what twitter is.
