Episode 793: Old Republican Strategist Hurts Trump's Feelings; Has Trump Lost MTG Loyalty?

Play Episode Listen Later May 7, 2025 49:23

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump threw a late-night temper tantrum on Truth Social after receiving mild criticism from longtime Republican strategist Karl Rove. Rove had called Trump out for his Pope image as well as his tone-deaf statements about people needing to spend less, and that was enough to send Trump into a frenzy. He got on his social media platform and blasted Rove as a “total loser” who is “wrong about everything,” apparently forgetting that he made a desperate plea to Rove to save his dying campaign in the 2020 election. In a fiery social media post, Marjorie Taylor Greene announced that she will no longer just blindly give her votes to Donald Trump, and that she is going to stand firm in her horrible principles. She said that she had voted to continue funding the government last year because Trump asked her to, but made it clear that this will “never” happen again just because Trump asks. She then listed a series of issues that she plans to vote against, including many that are directly supported and proposed by Trump. Polls show that fewer and fewer Americans are buying Donald Trump's lies that President Biden is to blame for the economy, and a majority now place the blame squarely on Trump's shoulders. In spite of his failing message, he continues to repeat it in hopes that people will somehow start to believe it once again, even though Biden has been out of office for four months now. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

Episode 792: Trump Attends Pope's Funeral and As Expected it Goes Horribly Wrong; Wisconsin Judge Arrested

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump was humiliated on the global stage this past weekend for both his behavior at Pope Francis' funeral, as well as his policies that were attacked during the Homily. Trump was called out for breaking the dress code by wearing a blue suit, for chewing gum during the service, and for playing on his phone. But the real attack came during the Homily, when the world was reminded that the Pope always encouraged people to “build bridges, not walls,” which was a direct line of attack to Trump's “build the wall” pledge. The Trump administration has hit a new level of lawlessness after they proudly announced that they had arrested a judge in Wisconsin for allegedly obstructing the arrest of an undocumented person. The man was appearing in court for domestic battery charges. The administration sent plainclothes officers to arrest him, and when the judge confronted the agents and told them that they didn't have the proper warrant, she directed the defendant and his lawyer to a separate area of the courthouse. The Trump administration has taken the unprecedented move of dismissing ALL of the voting rights cases that the DOJ was actively pursuing against cities, states, or municipalities that may have violated sections of the Voting Rights Act and violated people's rights in the process. They then took things a step further by firing all of the investigators in the voting rights division of the DOJ. This gives states a green light to suppress and violate voting rights across the country. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Following reports over the weekend that Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth had another Signal chat with his wife and brother where he shared sensitive information, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt went on Fox News and basically admitted that the entire Pentagon HATES Hegseth. She said that leaks like this are what happens when the “entire Pentagon is working against you,” but they wouldn't be working against him if they didn't want him gone. And none of that is a viable excuse for what Hegseth has done. Democratic Party vice chair David Hogg is working on transforming the Party from the inside, and his moves are sending Democrats into a complete panic. Hogg recently suggested that the DNC could start funding primary challengers against spineless, ineffective Democratic lawmakers, and that didn't sit well with the Party establishment. But this type of bold action is absolutely needed inside the DNC, and Hogg is doing a great job with both his force and his ideas. Donald Trump let the Supreme Court know this week that he is furious with them for allegedly blocking his every move, which isn't even close to being true. Trump is angry that the Court has ordered him to retrieve the wrongfully deported man from El Salvador and also that they temporarily blocked him from using the Alien Enemies Act to deny people due process. Trump has made it clear that he's going to continue to defy the Court, which he claims is now being manipulated by liberals. According to a new report from The Wall Street Journal, the stock market is on track to have its worst April since 1932 when the US was in the grips of the Great Depression. Investors have lost faith in the markets thanks solely to Donald Trump's policies, and the dollar is experiencing a dangerous drop in value as a result. All of this could spell economic disaster for the United States in a record amount of time. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! A series of polls came out this week with the worst news that Trump has gotten during his second term. Not only has his approval on the economy tanked, but now a majority of voters squarely blame him for the state of the economy instead of Biden. On top of that, even the conservative pollsters are showing their worst numbers ever for Trump. Things have gone from bad to worse for Trump in a record amount of time. Donald Trump might be on the receiving end of another serious investigation launched by New York Attorney General Letitia James. James' office announced this week that they were “reviewing” possible insider trading allegations against the administration for their stock market boasts and gains after Trump “paused” tariffs last week (which was preceded by Trump saying on Truth Social that now is a “great time to buy.”) There are some interesting aspects of this situation. And the Trump administration has triggered a major Constitutional crisis by openly defying an order by the US Supreme Court, while Trump himself acts like he is powerless in the face of the President of El Salvador. Trump has shown us what a weak coward he truly is, but he's a weak coward that wants to be a dictator. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump proudly proclaimed victory this week as the stock market continued to nosedive. Trump claimed on Truth Social that everything was going great and that prices for consumers were all dropping, which is the complete opposite of what's actually happening across the country. It is obvious that he is attempting to do damage control, but it isn't working. The Trump administration has maintained that the people they've deported to the El Salvadorian prison were all violent criminals that were so dangerous that they had to be sent away immediately. But a 60 Minutes investigation found that at least 75% of the people deported have NO criminal records, completely blowing up the talking points of the administration. Russian state media is laughing at the United States after Donald Trump tanked the economy and destroyed global trust in the US' economic system. In fact, they went as far as to say that there should be statues built of Trump for the damage that he's done to our country. This is a country that clearly hates us and thinks Trump is a fool, but that hasn't stopped Trump from giving them everything they've ever wanted. And Elon Musk is continuing to escalate his feud with top Trump trade adviser Peter Navarro, saying that he is a “moron” who is “dumber than a sack of bricks.” Elon also called out Navarro for inventing a fictional “expert” to justify his obsession with tariffs. Musk isn't wrong about those parts, but he's also being dishonest with people about the true nature of Tesla vehicles and the impact of the tariffs on his businesses. This week on Ring of Fire! In an interview published late last week by Jewish Insider, SEVEN Republican Senators went after Vice President JD Vance for trying to block Donald Trump's military attack in Yemen, which was revealed during the Signal chat saga. One Republican Senator went as far as to say that Trump likely has buyer's remorse about picking Vance as his running mate and as the heir apparent to the MAGA movement. Current and former pilots from the US military are speaking out about Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth and his reckless behavior exposed through the Signalgate scandal. These pilots say that Hegseth's recklessness could get pilots (and other members of the military) killed, and they say that there's no place in the military for negligence of this caliber. A new poll shows that nearly three-quarters of Americans believe that the Signal Gate Controversy is a big deal. What makes the poll more interesting is that even a majority of Republicans believe that it is a big deal, and a larger share of Americans think this is a problem compared to those who thought Hillary Clinton's “email scandal” was a problem. This is now a major problem for Donald Trump and Republicans, and it is up to Democrats to make sure that the public doesn't forget and that those responsible are held accountable. This week on Ring of Fire! The White House is in full panic mode after a reporter for The Atlantic was included on a private group chat that laid out war plans for last week's attack in Yemen. The controversial move, and the possibly illegal decision to use a private messaging app for confidential information, has left many calling for mass firings or resignations on top of investigations, which has sent the Trump administration into a tailspin as the attempt to defend the indefensible. Vice President JD Vance could have some big problems ahead of him after it was revealed that he tried to block Donald Trump's attack in Yemen last week. This information was apparently not known by Trump, as he wasn't included on the text message chain that was accidentally sent to a reporter. But now the truth is out that Vance tried to undermine his boss, which was actually a GOOD thing. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem announced that her department was going to begin the process of eliminating FEMA, as Donald Trump has suggested multiple times. It is impossible to believe that they don't know how devastating this is going to be for Red States, as the top three recipients of FEMA aide are all deep red, Republican-controlled areas. But the administration is moving forward anyway, and as usual, their own voters will suffer the most. All that, and so much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Democrats in Congress have decided to go on a nationwide blitz of town halls in districts controlled by Republicans, since Republicans are refusing to talk to their constituents. And the move couldn't come at a better time for Democrats, as the latest polls show that the Democrats have a lower approval rating than at any other point in history. Both parties are getting hammered in polls, and Democrats have a chance to get the upper hand with these town halls. Sympathy is in short supply today for angry and upset Trump voters that are getting exactly what he said he was going to do. The very same farmers that overwhelmingly supported Donald Trump in the last 3 elections are now crying about how his tariffs are destroying their businesses, and some are even saying “we didn't vote for this.” YES, you did, and we all tried to warn you. But their pains get spread around the entire country, so they aren't as easy to dismiss. A very confused Alina Habba said that it was “unthinkable” that a judge could overrule Donald Trump's executive orders. During an appearance on Fox News this week, the alleged lawyer claimed that Trump has the authority to basically do whatever he wants via executive order, specifically with regards to invoking the Alien Enemies Act, and said that judges shouldn't even be allowed to disagree with him. This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump is putting his own reputation on the line with his latest defense and plea to help Elon Musk. After Tesla suffered major losses in the market early this week, Trump got on Truth Social to beg Republicans to help Elon in any way they can (probably by purchasing Tesla vehicles or stock,) and then he claimed that “The Left” is engaging in “illegal” boycotts of Musk's products. Boycotts are in no way illegal, and Musk is suffering from his own arrogance. Donald Trump appeared to suffer another mental breakdown on Tuesday morning as he announced that he would be implementing an additional 25% tariff on all steel and aluminum products coming from Canada, while then suggesting that the tariffs could be increased to as much as 50%. He THEN said that all of this would go away if Canada would just agree to become the 51st state of the United States, something that isn't even possible. Fox News is desperate to spin the stock market crash from Monday in any way they can, so they decided to tell America that this was actually a GOOD thing, with one host going as far as to say that he's actually glad that this happened. There is no positive from this, and it isn't just the market “correcting itself” – it was a massive crash caused by statements that Trump made over the weekend about a possible recession. This week on Ring of Fire! Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has announced immediate retaliatory tariffs against the United States following the tariffs that Trump put in place on Tuesday of this week. The Canadian tariffs will cover roughly $155 billion worth of goods coming from our country, and that's just the beginning. Canada also has the ability to completely cut off most of our oil supply as well as the ability to cut power to millions of homes in the United States, which they are also threatening to do. Donald Trump has now cancelled the 1st Amendment on college campuses across the country by proclaiming on Truth Social that the government would immediately stop funding any university that allowed an “illegal protest” to take place, and the students would be expelled and possibly deported if they participated in one of these “illegal” events. Protests in this country are absolutely not illegal, thanks to the 1stAmendment, and Trump is setting up a Constitutional showdown that could severely destroy Freedom of Speech in this country. Minnesota Governor, and former Vice Presidential candidate, Tim Walz has told constituents in his state that if their Republican Representatives aren't brave enough to talk to them, then he will be more than happy to come and talk. The NRCC has officially told Republicans to STOP doing town hall events, leaving voters with no way to air their grievances about the Party's decisions. Walz is showing what leadership looks like, and this is EXACTLY what the entire Democratic Party needs to be doing right now. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump has picked conspiracy-peddling podcaster Dan Bongino to serve as the Deputy Director of the FBI immediately under Kash Patel. Bongino has no FBI experience, but he has plenty of experience trying to “own the libs” on social media while also spreading conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and COVID. His COVID lies were so bad that he was actually banned from YouTube several years ago, and now he brings his “I hate the left” mentality to the top law enforcement agency in the country. A federal court ordered Donald Trump to immediately pause his pause on federal funding, but that order doesn't appear to have had any impact on Trump's decisions. The administration has continued to halt funding for National Institute of Health's medical research development, meaning that new, potentially life-saving treatments are no longer being funded. This decision along could cost countless lives across the globe. A hunting pal of Donald Trump, Jr. has been installed as the acting deputy commissioner for human foods at the FDA. The man, Kyle Diamantas, has been a hunting partner of Junior for years, and his friendship is being rewarded with a position that he is grossly unqualified to hold. Diamantas is also a lawyer who has spent his career representing major food companies – the same companies he'll now be “trusted” to regulate. Donald Trump appeared to lose his mind this week in a post on Truth Social where he threatened to start suing people who write mean books about him. He then went a step further and suggested that he may start suing any writer or commentator that talks bad about him, and THEN went on to suggest that maybe he'll change libel laws to make that easier to do. This is fascism at work. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Over the past few days, Elon Musk – a man that was neither elected to serve in the government nor confirmed by a governing body – has made sweeping changes to the federal government, consolidating it under his control. He has locked civil servants out of their computer systems at some departments; the NTSB has announced that they will only be using Musk's platform to make official announcements; And he has gained access to personal information, including pay, from the Treasury. This is both completely unprecedented and wildly dangerous. The Trump Administration authorized the release of billions of gallons of water onto California from several dams in order to fight the fires that have already bee declared “100% contained.” This decision was not only dangerous for the state – one official said that it nearly flooded them – but it also screws over farmers. That water was meant for summer crops, and now it is gone, which is going to wreak havoc on food availability and prices in just a few months. Donald Trump's response to the deadly plane crash in Washington, D.C. last week is all the proof you need to know that he is insane. He blamed people with disabilities, “diversity” hires, people with missing limbs, and even “dwarfism” for the disaster, none of which played a role in what happened. But this type of response cannot be tolerated, normalized, or ignored. The man is mentally unwell. All that, and so much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! According to award-winning economist and columnist Paul Krugman, Donald Trump is creating a massive economic disaster for himself that he has no idea how to handle. Specifically, Krugman is warning about the looming economic crisis from Trump's mass deportations which will likely send inflation and consumer prices back up. On top of that, we're already seeing labor shortages spring up from the moves, so the economic impacts are already upon us. Following the late-evening confirmation of Pete Hegseth this past Friday, Donald Trump took to Truth Social to rehash one of his “greatest hits” by declaring certain media outlets to be “the enemy of the people.” But this time he took things a step further, and specifically mentioned MSNBC's Rachel Maddow by name. Every time Trump does this, he puts a target on someone's back, and we've seen his crazed supporters attempt violence from these “enemy of the people” comments in the past. Tom Homan, Donald Trump's new “border czar,” says that he is considering conducting immigrants raids at schools in order to round up students and deport them. Homan had the audacity to say that these because these people “broke the law”, they shouldn't be allowed in at all. This is coming from a man that is working for a convicted felon. Donald Trump and his Republican allies have been trashing Bishop Mariann Budde all week after she called out his anti-Christian immigration policies at a Prayer Breakfast on Tuesday, and now a whole new group of Bishops is jumping in to pile on Trump's plans. The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops sent a letter criticizing Trump's deportation plans and called for mercy and compassion, just like the Bible calls for. Even when Republicans win, Steve Bannon can't stop spreading conspiracy theories. As Donald Trump was set to be sworn in on Monday, Steve Bannon was on the scene spreading conspiracies about why the inauguration was moved indoors. According to Bannon, it wasn't because the weather was too harsh to safely conduct the ceremony outside – instead, it was part of a plot to “nullify” Trump, which he didn't elaborate on at all. In a post on Truth Social this week, Donald Trump said that MSNBC (or MSDNC, as he calls it) “shouldn't even have a right to broadcast” in the United States, suggesting he could take their license away. This is the man that conservatives are heralding as the guy who is “saving free speech” and “doing away with censorship,” as The New York Post suggested this week. And Donald Trump spoke at the World Economic Forum in Davos this week, marking his first international appearance as the new President of the United States. And to absolutely no one's surprise, he made a complete fool of himself and the country. He made countless false claims that were immediately called out by both US media and international outlets, which obviously is going to set the tone for the next 4 years. This week on Ring of Fire! Marjorie Taylor Greene is back at it with her weather manipulation conspiracies, this time suggesting that the government should simply create rain by “cloud seeding” and then the problem of the California fires would be solved. It isn't just that she's crazy, it's that she is so arrogant in her insanity to say something so crazy and yet so matter-of-factly. Republican politicians in both the House and Senate are threatening to withhold disaster aid to the victims of the California fires unless they agree to “certain concessions.” This is absolutely reprehensible, and it isn't something that would ever happen to red states during disasters, regardless of which Party controlled the government. But this is how things work when a Blue State needs help. MAGA faithful are finding out very quickly that they are part of the actual club. Elon Musk continues to censor and silence his conservative critics on Twitter (X), and the MAGA crowd is furious that the “free speech absolutist” turned out to be a big fat liar on the issue of censorship. But there is little they can do about it since he owns the platform and can make the rules himself – just like conservatives do with politics. Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson announced on Fox News this past weekend that he and his fellow Republicans in the House are aiming to push through a single bill that contains ALL of Donald Trump's legislative priorities by Memorial Day, instead of passing multiple separate bills. This seems like an unusual move for someone like Johnson, and that's because it isn't his idea at all – It all came from Trump who is demanding that Republicans do it this way. This is a stupid plan that is destined to fail. President Biden now has less than 2 weeks in office, and he's spent the past few days signing legislation and orders designed to help protect Americans from Donald Trump. One of the biggest achievements was the signing of legislation to increase Social Security payments to more than 3 million recipients, and that was followed by an order that forbids oil drilling along the coasts of the country. Trump ally Steve Bannon celebrated the anniversary of the Capitol Riot on Monday by proudly proclaiming “we almost pulled it off!” Bannon's comments make it clear that there is absolutely no remorse for what happened that day – including the deaths – and that they would gladly do it again if they ever felt the need. In fact, the filing is so incomprehensible that they aren't even sure what kind of filing it is supposed to be. One attorney compared it to the movie “Legally Blonde,” while also pointing out that the filing is nothing more than Trump bragging about winning the election. Steve Bannon has been one of the loudest voices in the ongoing MAGA civil war, but he insisted this week that there isn't actually a civil war happening with Trump's allies and supporters because the other side (Elon Musk) isn't “tough enough” to actually fight back. As evidence, Bannon pointed to the fact that Musk has already backed down on his vow to “go to war” on the issue of the H-1B visas by now saying that maybe they should be reformed. Musk is a lot of things, but a fighter isn't one of them. A Republican state lawmaker named Danielle Gallant from Nevada told a reporter this week that Elon Musk has now made it “cool” to be a Republican, going as far as claiming that it is now “punk rock” to be in the GOP. There is a lot of apprehension around the country right now as people reel from the thought of Trump's economic policies, but Romney reminded us that Trump was very clear about what he was going to do, so we have no rooms to complain. Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders urged President Biden to seriously consider issuing some preemptive pardons to the people that Donald Trump is threatening to go after once he returns to office. Sanders made the comments during an appearance on CNN this past Sunday, while adding that Trump's rhetoric is making him sound like a “tinpot dictator.” Preemptive pardons could be risky, but it may be a risk worth taking. Judge Juan Merchan this week made the decision that Presidential immunity does NOT cover the crimes for which Donald Trump was convicted in New York. The day after the decision, Trump got on Truth Social and had the meltdown of all meltdowns, ranting that the judge was “psychotic” and throwing a massive tantrum. But Merchan made the right call on this matter. Marjorie Taylor Greene managed to unite both the Right and the Left this week when they joined forces to ridicule her relentlessly after she went full anti-vaxxer on Twitter. Greene proclaimed that she fully believes that vaccines cause autism in spite of the mountain of evidence that has not once found a single link between the two. This position was previously held by Kellyanne Conway, meaning that Habba has officially become the new Kellyanne. Her job, just like Conway's, will be to give Trump advice but most importantly to go out and do interviews about how awesome he is. During his interview with Meet The Press on Sunday, Donald Trump served up an incomprehensible word salad where he appeared to imply that he invented the word “groceries.” He was asked about prices and inflation, and instead of giving a coherent answer, he went on a long rant about “groceries” and then pivoted to how amazing tariffs are – but he still wouldn't say that consumers will NOT pay higher prices under his policies. All hell broke loose during a recent city council meeting in the small town of Middleton, Ohio, when JD Vance's mother demanded that the city honor her son and recognize the “role” that he played in Donald Trump's reelection. Donald Trump has issued a strong statement AGAINST President Biden's pardon for his son, Hunter, even though Trump said that he was open to giving Biden's son a pardon just a few months ago. The media played right into Trump's “disgust,” and they are going to be the ones that weaponize the pardon long before Trump even has the chance to do so. Republican Congressman James Comer has spent the past 2 years investigating Hunter Biden to no avail, and now he's apoplectic that Hunter has received a pardon from his father. Comer posted a scathing message on social media, accusing the President of lying for years about pardoning his son. The rest of the MAGA world is also furious, but it doesn't matter. This whole thing is only a shock to people who have their fingers far removed from the pulse of American politics. Ted Cruz has emerged as one of the biggest butt-kissers of Donald Trump, and he's apparently refusing to let anyone else take that mantle away from him. During an interview this week, the irony-proof Cruz actually criticized the Morning Joe crew on MSNBC for not just kissing up to Trump, but “kissing even lower” than anyone else. But the crude sexual innuendo completely ignores Cruz's own history. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! According to “Trump whisperer” Maggie Haberman, Donald Trump isn't harboring any delusions about Matt Gaetz's chances of being confirmed as Attorney General, and she claims that he's admitted in private that the odds are below 50% right now. But he's not giving up, according to Haberman, and he is on the phone with Republican senators constantly begging them to get Gaetz through. A federal judge appointed by Donald Trump has blocked an overtime pay rule from the Biden Administration that would have guaranteed overtime pay for more than 4 million salaried workers across the country – and millions more would have been eligible next year. The rule has been stalled as employers were trying to prevent having to pay workers for their time, and now millions of people will be forced to work longer hours without any overtime. Members of the Trump transition team are currently discussing plans with Republican members of Congress to expand the 2017 tax cut package that mostly went to wealthy Americans. In order to pay for this extension, they are discussing cuts to social safety net programs like Medicaid and SNAP benefits. To put that another way – They are going to take money AWAY from poor people so that they can give themselves and their donors a fat tax break. Marjorie Taylor Greene is bitter about the election for some reason, and she's now at the point of saying that Democratic governors are possibly committing “treason” by enacting plans to protect their states from Trump's policies. She said that she's still open to the idea of a “national divorce,” which she claims would be horrible for Blue States. The stats don't back that up, and Red States would be the ones to suffer the most. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! There are still a few House races that have yet to be called, but Republicans have already secured enough wins to maintain a majority of seats in the US House. With their flipping of the Senate and the White House, along with their control over the Supreme Court, this means that Republicans will control EVERY single branch of the federal government for at least the next two years. According to Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren, Donald Trump may already be breaking the law by refusing to sign an ethics pledge that was part of a legislative effort that Warren herself got through the Senate. The pledge is required by law, and it is intended to prevent conflicts of interest and profiteering off the presidency, something that became a hallmark of Trump's first term in office. With every pick announced for Donald Trump's cabinet, a lot of people are thinking “it can't get any worse than that.” And then the next pick comes along shattering that idea. Trump is managing to pick worse and worse people with each passing day, from a Fox News host that was labeled an extremist to the world's richest and most immature man, Trump's picks are scraping the absolute bottom of the barrel. This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump won the 2024 presidential election, shocking most of the country by tearing down the “Blue Wall” that was supposed to keep him from returning to power. But unlike 2016, Trump actually won the popular vote (as of right now) and he officially got his mandate to return to power. To make things worse, Republicans also retook control of the Senate, giving Trump a blank check on judicial appointments. From Elon Musk to Alina Habba, some of the dumbest and biggest crackpots in the country are going to wield a lot of power. In fact, Trump made sure to point that out during his victory speech on Tuesday evening. This is going to be a rough time for people with common sense, but this is what the people voted for. Donald Trump has been far more incoherent and unintelligible during this year's campaign, and now that he's heading back to The White House, one has to wonder what is going to happen to his mental faculties. The man was already unstable, but his increasing cognitive decline is going to present very real problems that he's not prepared to face – and those around him aren't prepared to handle. This is going to be rough. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump is falling apart with less than a week to go before the election. His Madison Square Garden hate rally is obviously getting most of the attention, but both before and after that his campaign was already descending into madness. He has called America a “garbage can,” fantasized about Marjorie Taylor Greene blowing up in a car accident, and even got called out by Joe Rogan for his lies. This is a campaign that is fumbling at the goal line. A financial analyst for Fox News said on the air this week that the idea of people investing in Donald Trump's media company was “laughable.” Even the stock price has rebounded after bottoming out in the teens just a few weeks ago, the analyst believes that the company is still headed towards disaster because there is no real way for it to sustain itself. The revenue stream for the company is virtually non-existent, and their expenses are through the roof. During his rally at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, Donald Trump teased that he and Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson had a “Secret” that they can't share, but they would reveal it after the election. This led many to believe that Trump was suggesting that Johnson was going to vote to NOT certify the election results if Trump loses. Johnson is now in damage control mode, and he insists that this “secret” is just a “get out the vote effort.” That seems highly unbelievable. This week on Ring of Fire! Cities across the country are struggling to pay their own bills after ponying up tens, and sometimes hundreds, of thousands of dollars to cover the added costs that Donald Trump's rallies bring to their cities. And since Trump's campaign is still refusing to pay the bills that they owe, these cities are often left with few options other than to just cut their losses and hope they can survive. The administration of Ron DeSantis was slammed during a recent hearing with a federal judge over their attempts to silence a political opposition group that was running ads on local TV stations across Florida. The judge told the defendants from the DeSantis administration, “It's the First Amendment, stupid,” as he blasted their attempts to silence political opposition. This came as an official for the administration resigned last week and through DeSantis's underlings under the bus as directing him to threaten the TV stations. A leaked “spoof” video that was sent out to workers with Elon Musk's America PAC tells door knockers how they can get around the system and “fake” their jobs. In the video, that allegedly made its way to hundreds of PAC workers, they are shown how to use a GPS spoofing app to fool the door-knocking app they use, and then they were told how to fake the responses on the survey (but to make sure that they varied the responses so that they each seem unique.) Elon has a lot of answers to give about what's happening at his group. During a recent interview, Donald Trump falsely claimed that “nobody” has ever been treated worse in this country than the hundreds of people that have been convicted for storming the Capitol on January 6th. He then amended that to say that MAYBE Japanese Americans that were forced into internment camps during WWII were treated as bad. This comment drew immediate backlash from people who understand the history of the United States. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! According to a new report from The New York Times, the Trump campaign colluded with Elon Musk to suppress the release of information that had been hacked from the Trump campaign. This is what led to the Twitter ban of investigative journalist Ken Klippenstein (who has since been reinstated on the platform.) But this is EXACTLY what Republicans accused the Biden campaign of doing four years ago, and now they are the ones who actually worked with social media companies to remove unflattering content. During a recent interview with The New York Times, Republican vice-presidential candidate J.D. Vance was asked five times in a row to admit that Donald Trump lost the 2020 election, and every time he deferred and changed the subject, or he engaged in attacks to deflect the question. This type of denial is incredibly dangerous to the safety of our elections, and it is further evidence of why Trump picked Vance to begin with. Ted Cruz went on Sean Hannity's program on Fox News on Monday evening to beg viewers for more money. This pitch for cash was timed perfectly with the release of internal polling from a Republican Super PAC that shows that Cruz is flailing in his Senate race against Democrat Colin Allred, and the two remain in a statistical dead heat with three weeks to go before the election. Cruz is getting desperate, and his pitch for cash is proof of that. And Majorie Taylor Greene has spent more than a week trying to convince America that the government is creating hurricanes and sending them to attack Republican areas of the country. That's why her recent post on social media made everyone laugh at her. Greene posted a picture of a man in a giant tinfoil hat that had the caption “everyone in America right now,” to which Greene added “Yep.” She didn't realize the irony of her post and got immediately roasted by the internet. This week on Ring of Fire! The release of special prosecutor Jack Smith's new evidence against Donald Trump made one thing absolutely clear: Rudy Giuliani's incompetence may have been what saved the country. Giuliani, while working on Trump's behalf to get Congress to NOT certify the election results, accidentally texted his plan for Congress to the wrong number, which then prevented Congress from getting the plan. Had this not happened, January 6th could have turned out very differently. Not long ago, Donald Trump promised to release his full medical records to prove that being the oldest presidential nominee in history wasn't that big of a deal. And now that we're a month away from the election, the media is calling him out for failing to do so. Voters have enormous concerns about Trump's fitness – both physical and mental – and releasing those records could go a long way to easing fears – or confirming them. Tim Walz, without even doing anything, has managed to drive Republican House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer insane. Comer is abusing his power to launch an investigation into Walz's connections to China, and right before the recent Vice Presidential Debate Comer sent a subpoena to the Department of Homeland Security for information about Walz. This investigation will end the same way that all of Comer's other investigations ended, which means he'll look like a complete fool again. Donald Trump's dumpster fire of a campaign is now burning through cash faster than money can come in. For the past two months, the campaign has spent more than it brought in, dropping Trump's total amount of cash on hand to a little over $230 million (which is still a lot, but not nearly as much as the Harris campaign has.) The biggest problem, however, is that Republicans have no idea where Trump is spending the money. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

At one point, he was so angry about being fact checked that he attacked the moderators before they ended up cutting his microphone. But it was his refusal to acknowledge that Trump lost the 2020 election that really raised eyebrows Donald Trump is getting absolutely trashed for spreading lies about the Biden Administration's response to Hurricane Helene. And it isn't just the Left that's going after him – Republicans are having to come out and debunk his lies, too. Trump has claimed that the Biden administration is doing nothing and not even taking calls from Republican-controlled states, but the truth is that Biden has been on the phone constantly and offering whatever aid is needed for ALL states impacted. Sometimes it isn't exactly clear if Kellyanne Conway wants Donald Trump to win the election or not. During an interview on Fox News this week, Conway said that she tried to taunt Trump into doing another debate with Kamala Harris, even though he completely botched it the first time. But if Trump can't even convince his friends that he's not a coward, then he has no hope of convincing the public. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

Republicans in the House are growing increasingly concerned that Donald Trump's demands of them are going to lead to “galactically stupid” consequences for them in November's election. Trump is still demanding that they shut down the government, and if they don't, they fear that he's going to go on the rampage against them – which could be just as costly in November! Republican Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer sunk to a new level during a recent interview on Fox News when he decided to go into an attack on Tim Walz's family, including his children. Comer attacked the children as part of the justification for his investigation into Walz, whom Comer believes is being “groomed” by China. These kinds of attacks used to be completely off limits, but this one wasn't even a blip on the media's radar. Donald Trump only has a few days left before he can sell his shares of Truth Social (officially the Trump Media & Technology Group stock), but the whole thing could end up being completely worthless by Friday. Following the incident at his golf course on Sunday, Trump told a rally crowd this week that both President Biden and Vice President Harris called him and were very nice, and then he said he wished that they hadn't been so nice to him – apparently it makes him feel bad to be a jerk to them after that. But he continued on with his jerkish behavior nevertheless. Republican Senator John Kennedy made headlines this week when he went into a massively racist line of questioning with a Muslim woman who was testifying before a Senate Committee on racism on college campuses. Kennedy appeared to prove her point about rampant racism by repeatedly implying that she supported terrorist organizations, but he shocked the entire room and drew audible gasps from the audience when he concluded his time by telling the woman to “hide your head in a bag.” Republicans in the House failed to get a budget bill passed on Wednesday evening because they wouldn't remove the SAVE Act that Donald Trump has been pushing for. Now Trump has gone ballistic and is demanding that Republicans shut down the federal government at the end of the month. Mitch McConnell had previously said that doing so would be “politically stupid,” but Trump is telling Republicans that now is the time to be stupid. He immediately got on Truth Social to complain about the US Mail service admitting that they are running way behind on getting mail-in ballots delivered, which Trump immediately claimed was election interference. The irony is that HE created this mess four years ago on purpose, and he seems to have forgotten about that. Rudy Giuliani got blasted by a federal judge in New Hampshire on Monday when the judge dismissed Giuliani's defamation lawsuit against President Biden. Giuliani was suing the president for claiming that Giuliani was pushing out talking points from Russia last year, and he sued in New Hampshire because he thought it would be a friendlier jurisdiction. The judge saw right through it, and said in the ruling that Giuliani “utterly failed” to prove that the case should take place in that state. The “affidavit” from an alleged ABC staffer has been released, and it is filled with problems related to its credibility. But while the media and politicians attempt to determine what's real and what isn't, they are all missing the biggest point: The conspiracy theory itself makes no sense. The former president appeared to take some pictures and lay a wreath, but now reports suggest that this whole incident may have been illegal. Making things even worse is the fact that his staff got into a fight at the event, and they then doubled down on the attacks after everything ended. Once again, past comments by Senator J.D. Vance have come back to cause chaos for the Trump campaign. This time, it was comments that he made on a podcast in 2021, where he claimed that people that don't have children are “disturbing” to him. Comments like these are absolutely killing the Trump campaign with voters, and it doesn't look like there is any end in sight to Vance's horrible comments from the past. Conservative radio host Erick Erickson has had enough of the “Trump Cult,” and he blasted them during a recent segment on his program for attacking anyone that doesn't “hump” Trump's leg. At one point, he grew so irate that he exclaimed “screw you people” after he talked about how he had probably given more money to Trump than any of them. At one point, he even asked how Kamala Harris even has a “right” to run for President, suggesting that she is somehow an illegitimate person. These attacks are going to continue to get more unhinged and more panicked as his campaign keeps failing. Staunch Trump ally, and former Fox and Newsmax host, Eric Bolling had an epic meltdown that he felt the need to post to social media. His meltdown was supposed to serve as a warning to Donald Trump, but it came across more as a very public nervous breakdown. During a profane video rant, Bolling exclaimed to Trump that “we're losing!” and then proceeded to complain about the fact that Fox News got crushed in the ratings by MSNBC last week during the Democratic convention. There are plenty of meltdowns to go around among Republicans these days. Marjorie Taylor Greene has reemerged from whatever cave she's been hiding in for the last few weeks to spread more lies and hatred towards Democrats. This time, her anger and lies were directed right at Vice President Kamala Harris, whom Greene claimed supports the idea of abortion right up until the moment of birth. That has never been a thing in this country, and it has never even been an idea that Democrats have pushed or supported. Donald Trump just can't stop himself from lying all of the time, even about things that don't matter. This week, a reporter asked him a simple question about what he's doing to prep for his upcoming debate against Kamala Harris, and he replied that he's not really doing anything to prep for the debate. But his campaign had already previously confirmed that they had pulled in Tulsi Gabbard to help with his prep, so we know that he's just lying to make himself look tough and not like the scared little boy that he is. HOWEVER, they are still recommending impeachment because they claim that the family traded on their name to get business deals (which they even admit isn't technically a crime.) During a recent interview, Donald Trump's nephew Fred Trump III suggested that his uncle could be suffering from dementia – just like his father and grandfather suffered from. The family medical history is not working in Trump's favor, and the mental lapses and cognitive issues with Trump are well documented and actually getting worse. Just when you think that J.D. Vance can't get any dumber, he goes and proves you wrong. During an appearance on Fox News this past weekend, Vance compared Kamala Harris to Jeff Epstein, and the internet had a field day with it. Vance seems to forget that his running mate, Donald Trump, was not only listed on Epstein's flight log and once was the target of a lawsuit from one of Epstein's victims – but Trump is also currently flying around on Epstein's old plane! Marjorie Taylor Greene appears to have dropped off the face of the map. Aside from a few posts on social media attacking Democrats – which easily could have been from her staffers – Greene has disappeared from conservative media. The posts were nothing short of insanity, and could easily be evidence of a severe mental illness. Nevertheless, not a single major media outlet was talking about it on Monday morning – the either moved on or completely ignored it. A new survey appears to have confirmed that Donald Trump could not have picked a worse running mate than J.D. Vance. A majority voters say that Vance is not only “weird,” but also “anti-woman,” and that's just the tip of the iceberg that the Trump campaign is running into. Voters dislike virtually everything about Vance, and he's definitely dragging the ticket down. Donald Trump is about to get his lawyers in a heap of trouble after it was announced that he is suing the Department of Justice for $100 million over the execution of the search warrant at Mar-a-Lago. The judge overseeing the documents case – Judge Aileen Cannon – has already ruled that the warrant was executed correctly and legally, which means there's already no case. His lawyers who file the suit will undoubtedly be sanctioned as a result. Current and former Republican officials are now begging Donald Trump to fix his campaign before he sinks the entire Republican Party. That's not a small ask, especially considering the fact that Trump becomes increasingly unhinged as he continues to sink in the polls. Vance.) Minnesota Governor Tim Walz will now be on the ballot with Harris in November, and she couldn't have picked a better running mate to shore up any weaknesses that her campaign may have. Donald Trump has spent years telling us that President Biden is too old to do the job, and now he's probably wishing that he never made that claim. Another new poll has found that a majority of voters believe that Trump is too old to be president, and too mentally unfit to hold the job. These are the same attacks that Trump leveled against Biden, and now they are coming back to bite him. Nothing is going right for Donald Trump, and he's losing his mind as a result of it. For the past week, every new poll that has come out has delivered more and more bad news, with the bad news seemingly getting worse with each new poll. It is time to face the reality of the fact that the only reason Trump was even competitive in the first place was because people were tired of President Biden, and now that he's out, voters are energized and happy, and that's horrible for Trump. Because J.D. Vance is doing such a horrible job of cleaning up his “childless cat lady comments,” the campaign has decided to put him on the shelf and instead send out his wife, Usha, to smooth things over. Usha Vance did an interview that aired on Fox & Friends on Monday morning where she wrote off her husband's misogynistic attack on women, but her assurances are being undermined by JD's insistence on repeating the statements over and over again. The attack is simple: Republicans are weird, sick freaks. But the simplicity of it is what is driving conservatives up the wall, to the point where Vivek Ramaswamy got blasted on social media for whining about the "juvenile" name-calling from the Left. Things keep getting worse for Republicans as they continue to rip each other apart. Recently, Republican Senator Rick Scott tore into Mitch McConnell for being a "dictator" in the Senate within his own Republican caucus. Scott wants McConnell's job so bad that he can taste it, but the last time he tried to do it he went down in flames and ended up losing his position as head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. While there are plenty of Republicans in the Senate and House who love Donald Trump's pick of J.D. Vance, there is a growing chorus of others who are hoping Trump makes a switch before it is too late. Trump has about a week left before he can't make any changes to the ticket (due to state rules about declared and nominated candidates), but it isn't likely that he'll make a switch – it would be an admission of failure, and Trump will never do that. Donald Trump pulled an all-nighter on Truth Social this week, staying up and posting about how much he hates the conservative cable news network. The convicted felon posted a series of memes about how bad Fox has allegedly gotten, and how Republicans will have to win this year's election without them. The former President praised the judge and then called for all cases against him to be dismissed in a show of "unity" for the nation, and then he launched a completely fact-free attack on the Democrats (right after calling for unity.) Buried deep in a story from Axios this week is a statement from a "senior House Democrat" who told the outlet that Democrats have already "resigned themselves" to a second term of Donald Trump in The White House. This is a shocking statement, and it deserved far more coverage than Axios gave it. This means that Democrats are either giving up the fight before it even begins, or that they believe there is no way to beat Teflon Don. Donald Trump's campaign is not wasting any time using the imagery of Saturday's shooting in their campaign fundraising pitches, which is what everyone knew would happen. On Monday, the campaign sent out an email that featured the photo of a bloody Trump raising his fist after being shot at on Saturday, with the email saying "FEAR NOT!" followed by a stream of statements depicting Trump as some sort of hero. Donald Trump has repeatedly trashed electric vehicles and has promised to return America to gasoline cars if he returns to office. In spite of those promises, Elon Musk has decided to pledge $45 million per month to a Trump-supporting Super PAC, even though Musk owns the largest all-electric car companies in the country. He'll likely end up regretting this decision in the long run. All that, and more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! In a powerful letter delivered to Congressional Democrats on Monday, President Biden made it crystal clear that he is not dropping out of the presidential race and that it was time to drop the talk of replacing him and move forward on a united front. This comes as an increasing, though still small, number of elected Democrats are calling for him to drop out of the race - along with donors and 70% of liberal voters. But Biden is adamant that he can do the job. Most of the media attention for the past week and a half has been on President Biden following his debate performance. The few times the media talked about Donald Trump it centered on how dangerous he could become due to the Supreme Court's immunity ruling and Project 2025. Trump, according to Democrats, has been hiding out for the last week, hoping to keep the media spotlight on Biden, but Democrats are now calling him out of hiding to shift the media's focus. During a recent interview with Steve Bannon (before he was incarcerated), Donald Trump ally Kash Patel issued a direct threat to those of us on the Left. Patel stated clearly that "we're going to come after you," referring to anyone that has gone after Trump in the media in a way that Patel and Trump's other allies don't approve of. This is not just unconstitutional, it is insanely dangerous for the future of this country. Kellyanne Conway is going to continue to get paid to push propaganda for Donald Trump, and her payday is getting even bigger. Fox announced this week that Conway would soon begin hosting her own show on Fox Nation, the network's streaming platform, just in time to push pro-Trump nonsense ahead of the election. Trump spent the weekend railing against the network on Truth Social, so maybe this was their attempt to appease him. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! The Supreme Court issued their long-awaited ruling on Presidential immunity on Monday, and it didn't do anything to clear things up. The Court actually just regurgitated what the Constitution says - specifically that the President has absolute immunity for official acts, but not from other acts. But this is still a major victory for Trump, as it sends the issue of whether the acts are official or not back to the lower courts, which could create months or even years of delays. Bloomberg is reporting that Democratic operatives are floating a plan to nominate President Biden earlier than the DNC convention in August in order to squash the talk of replacing him on the ballot. While chatter about replacing him has died down considerably in just a few short days, there are still plenty of voices calling for a new nominee - and making that happen while we still have time. Marjorie Taylor Greene tried to hold a press conference outside the prison where Steve Bannon surrendered on Monday, and it couldn't have gone worse for the Georgia lawmaker. Anti-Trump protesters showed up and drowned Greene out with chants of "Trump lost!" along with an increasingly-annoying cowbell that sent Greene over the edge. Greene had to abruptly end her little crusade after no one could hear what she was saying. And Democratic Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez announced this week that she would be filing articles of impeachment against the corrupt Justices of the US Supreme Court who have gutted our rights and protections with rulings handed down this past week. To be fair, this effort will not go anywhere since Republicans control the House and there aren't enough votes in the Senate to convict anyone, but at least she is doing SOMETHING about the problem. Episode 750: Judge Cannon Snaps; Alex Jones Next Move; Boebert Manages to Win in Colorado

This week on Ring of Fire! Lauren Boebert prevailed in her Republican primary for Colorado's 4th Congressional district, and this means that she will likely cruise to a relatively easy victory in November in the deeply red area of the state. The real disappointment, however, is the fact that the Republicans in that district had the opportunity to pick anyone else to represent them, but they went with the disgusting, perverted person who has proven that she can't deliver for her constituents - and actually votes against allowing good things to happen for her voters. They own her now, and they deserve all the misfortune that comes along with that. A very irate and confused Judge Aileen Cannon snapped at federal prosecutors multiple times in hearings this week, and it was all because she didn't seem to understand how things are supposed to work under the law. At one point, she snapped at a prosecutor for defending the funding of the special prosecutor's office - something that Cannon has no control or say over. At another point, she told a prosecutor she didn't like his tone while he was arguing that federal witnesses should have their identities shielded. The court-appointed financial monitor overseeing Alex Jones' media empire has now recommended that the entire thing be liquidated and sold off in order to pay off what he owes to the families of the Sandy Hook victims that he attacked. This could mean the (at least temporary) end of Jones' show, as he will likely be left with absolutely nothing. As part of their Project 2025, the right wing Heritage Foundation is paying another conservative group to gather intelligence on existing federal workers to find out which people are loyal to Donald Trump. Those that are not considered "loyal," according to a report from the Associated Press, could end up being either "reassigned" to other areas or simply fired if Trump wins this year's election. This is horrifying, dystopian stuff happening right in front of us, and voters need to be alarmed about what's going on. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Kellyanne Conway has returned to her previous role as the chief lie-teller for Donald Trump. Over the weekend, Conway appeared on Fox News to falsely claim that Trump spoke to about 8,000 people at a predominantly black church in Detroit, even though photos showed roughly 200, mostly-white people attending his speech. In spite of the photographic evidence to the contrary, Conway continued to push the lie to make Trump feel good, just like she used to do. Marjorie Taylor Greene is so desperate for Donald Trump to be granted immunity by the Supreme Court that she'll believe anything - including that a video from two years ago was somehow taken just hours ago. Greene fell for a deceptive video on social media that was originally posted by a Turning Points contributor that has a history of plagiarism accusations, with Greene claiming that the video was proof that SCOTUS was about to give Trump immunity. On Saturday, the soon-to-be incarcerated Steve Bannon rattled off the top names on Donald Trump's enemies lies that will be targeted first if Trump wins the election this year. Those names include special prosecutor Jack Smith, Merrick Garland, and Lisa Monaco. These Justice Department officials and prosecutor are the ones that have caused the most headaches for Trump, but they aren't the only people his allies have talked about targeting. And it may already be game over for Donald Trump in this year's election as a new poll has found that 21% of Independent voters say that his criminal convictions make it less likely that they will vote for him. They also say that these convictions WILL impact their voting decisions later this year. The only problem is that the public quickly forgets things, and this sentiment could easily die off before we get to November, especially since Trump's other legal cases are likely not happening this year. This week on Ring of Fire! Judge Aileen Cannon has officially been on the documents case for a year, and legal experts are saying that they are shocked she still has a job. These experts have been so repulsed by the behavior of Judge Cannon that they now believe she's no longer fit to serve on the bench at all. And the rulings she issued last week are no exception. Last week, Donald Trump's shortlist of potential running mates was made public, as the potential picks were sent vetting information by Trump's campaign. And the list is nothing short of horrifying. All of the people are considered hard right extremists, with some masquerading as "normal." But don't be fooled - these people are ready to strip away your rights at the first opportunity. The neighbor that allegedly had some problems with Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito's wife spoke out publicly about their altercations last week, and suggested that the Alito family is "outright lying" about what happened. One of the big issues was the upside down flag that was flown outside of Alito's home following the 2020 election. Alito claimed the flag was put that way after a spat with the neighbor, but the neighbor says the flag was like that for weeks before things blew up. Rather than giving themselves a raise, Congress passed a law a few years ago that allows for an insane amount of reimbursements for members of Congress, on everything from travel to housing. And a new analysis of the receipts has revealed that Matt Gaetz is one of the top recipients of these new government handouts, that actually don't require any receipts at all. And Republican Nancy Mace wasn't far behind him. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! During his recent interview with Fox & Friends, Donald Trump claimed that he's "ok with" the idea of him going to prison. However, he included one very important caveat that many believe could be a signal to his violent base. Trump said that while he's fine with going to jail, "the public" likely wouldn't be, and that could lead to some bad things happening. This covert call to action is exactly how the Capitol Riots came into being, with Trump's rhetoric gradually getting more and more violent until the violence actually began. Republicans in Colorado's 4th Congressional district decided to have back-to-back primary debates on Friday and Saturday, but Lauren Boebert didn't show up for the Saturday debate. One possible reason is because she got utterly humiliated and lashed out at the moderator of Friday night's debate when the moderator brought up Boebert's Beetlejuice shenanigans, which then caused the other candidates to dogpile on her. But her absence didn't stop the attacks on Saturday. Marjorie Taylor Greene went off crazier than usual on Tuesday morning in a post on social media. Greene demanded that the Republican caucus in the House spend the rest of their days working on ways to punish every single person that is involved in Donald Trump's legal problems, saying that Democrats have pushed us into a "full blown dictatorship." Clearly she doesn't own a dictionary, but that's beside the point. Greene is demanding that Republicans abuse their power, and that is something that routinely gets overlooked by the press. Republicans in the Senate, and even some outside of it, are begging the rest of their Party members to shut the hell up about Donald Trump's felony convictions. They understand that this is NOT a winning issue for the Party, and they would rather focus on the economy or literally anything else heading into the election. Apparently, there are still a few people in the GOP that have a brain, and they know that the polls are looking really bad for a nominee with a felony conviction, and whining about it incessantly only reminds the public about what he did. This week on Ring of Fire! It wouldn't be a holiday in the United States without Donald Trump posting something horribly offensive and inappropriate on social media, and Memorial Day this year was no exception. Trump posted a message wishing a Happy Memorial Day to all, including the "human scum" that have been successful in holding him accountable in court. Arkansas governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders caught flak over the weekend for ignoring her constituents while tornadoes ravaged the state and killed at least 8 people. Instead of being their for her state during an emergency, Sanders had flown to North Carolina to catch a NASCAR event. This is what Republican "leadership" looks like - just like when Ted Cruz abandoned Texas during snowstorms to go to Cancun. Donald Trump's campaign claimed that about 25,000 people showed up to his rally in The Bronx last week, but that claim was swiftly debunked by aerial photographs that showed a crowd much smaller than that. Trump has been lying consistently about the size of his rally crowds because he believes that is the only barometer to gauge how popular he is. And if he's right about that, then he's definitely in trouble. Donald Trump threw a fit on Tuesday morning over Republican Representative, and House Freedom Caucus Chair, Bob Good. Trump got on Truth Social and attacked Good as being bad, and then went on to endorse his primary opponent. Good's race has split Republicans in the House, with some endorsing his opponent while others are standing by him. But the big question is why is this hard right lawmaker even facing a challenge? The answer is even dumber than you'd expect. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! The defense team rested their case in Donald Trump's hush money trial a little before noon on Tuesday, and the former President never took the stand. Trump had promised multiple times that he would be testifying in his own defense, and the consensus was that this would be a horrible idea for his trial team. Apparently he took the advice of his lawyers - and the prevailing legal scholars - but that doesn't change the fact that he still chickened out of doing what he said he would do. Republican Representative Andy Ogles is so angry about the gag order against Donald Trump that he is pushing legislation that would make ALL gag orders ILLEGAL in this country. Ogles is part of a Congress that has achieved the least amount of accomplishments in the history of this country, and THIS is the kind of legislation that he is focusing on, rather than actually trying to do something to help the country. Mitch McConnell is sick and tired of all the reports about the corruption of the conservative justices on the Supreme Court, and this week he came out and said that everyone just needs to leave the court alone. This comes after last week's report of the upside down American flag hanging outside Justice Alito's house following the 2020 election. But there's a reason McConnell wants everyone to shut up about the court - HE picked these people that are now under so much scrutiny. Following the release of court filings this week, Donald Trump falsely claimed that the FBI, under President Biden's direction, was given orders that they could assassinate Trump when they executed the search warrant for government documents at Mar-a-Lago. This is not true at all and is a complete misinterpretation of the order, but Trump used it as a distraction so that people would ignore the fact that the unsealed documents also said that MORE classified documents were found at his golf resort months after the FBI conducted their search. This week on Ring of Fire! It was announced last week that Barron Trump would be an RNC delegate at the RNC convention this coming summer, but Melania Trump has now put that idea to rest. Her office announced that he is declining to be a delegate for the state of Florida, but this came AFTER her husband, Donald, made a video boasting about Barron being a delegate where the former president appeared to not even know how old his son is. Another one of Donald Trump's friends is moving closer to becoming a jailbird after an Appeals Court upheld the criminal conviction of Steve Bannon for defying a Congressional subpoena. Bannon had been allowed by a Trump-appointed judge to remain out of prison as he appeals the conviction, but he may now be out of options. Former Trump adviser Peter Navarro is currently serving his sentence for the same crime, but he had a judge that was NOT appointed by Donald Trump. Republican Senator Katie Britt, who was last seen making a fool of herself from her own kitchen during her State of the Union Response, has put forth legislation that could end up creating a national database with the personal information of every pregnant woman in America. Britt claims that the legislation would only create resources for pregnant women to understand their options (options that don't include any information about terminating a pregnancy,) but the legislation actually says that women can enter their information for the government to track and store. This is exceptionally dangerous, given the laws that are popping up all over the country. During a recent podcast, two professional psychologists warned that Donald Trump's mental deterioration appears to be accelerating. They pointed to the fact that his mental gaffes are becoming both worse and more frequent, which could be a sign that his brain is rotting out faster than we realize. The stress of his criminal trial could be the catalyst that is causing this rapid decline. All that, and much more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump was once again found to be in violation of the gag order against him, forcing Judge Juan Merchan to hold him in contempt...again. The judge told Trump that he really doesn't want to have to put him in jail, but he said that he will be left with no choice if the violations continue. However, the judge said the same thing last week, so it is starting to look more and more like Trump is above the law. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is still dealing with blowback from her new book, and it isn't just because of her dog murdering story. Since that scandal broke, numerous other lies have been identified in her book, calling into question her entire life story. She lied about meeting Kim Jong Un, she lied about denying a visit to the President of France, and she even lied about an alleged "threat" that she received from Nikki Haley. According to reports, Donald Trump went on a profane 90-minute temper tantrum during a donor retreat on Saturday, attacking President Biden and comparing his administration to that of Nazi Germany. The former president is at his wit's end, and he's no longer able to hide his anger and contempt towards those who don't bow down before him. This could become a real problem for him on the campaign trail. Republicans recently had the choice between siding with the President and the American public or siding with cancer. Can you guess which side they chose? Like so many other issues involving healthcare, Republicans in Congress recently sided with the disease instead of providing funding for a cure. The funding was part of the years long "Moonshot" program to provide massive amounts of federal funding to help produce a cure for cancer - an initiative started by President Biden when he was still Vice President. But Republicans couldn't give him a win in an election year, even if that means condemning millions of people to a horrible death. All that, and more, on this week's Ring of Fire Podcast!

This week on Ring of Fire! Donald Trump, and most of his allies, have insisted that his legal problems are going to make him MORE popular with voters this year. But according to a new analysis, that's not even close to happening. In addition to all the polls showing that a conviction will hurt him, even without a conviction he's seeing voters turn against him as the current trial continues. This is a bad trend for Trump who has seen his poll numbers continually shrink since the start of the year. Kari Lake spent much of the year 2023 hanging around Mar-a-Lago with Donald Trump to the point where reports last summer claimed that she had basically "moved in" to the resort. But a new report says that the relationship between Lake and Trump began to sour late last year after Trump started getting sick of her and her election lies. Trump believes that Lake is blowing her chance to win the Arizona senate seat, and essentially booted her out of Mar-a-Lago. South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem was widely seen to be at the top of Donald Trump's short list of potential VP picks up until Friday. On Friday, The Guardian published an excerpt of Noem's new book where she actually boasted about killing her family's dog that she says she "hated." The story immediately went viral, and people on the Left and Right both condemned Noem for her account of what happened - which Noem said in the book proves that she can make the tough decisions. And the only threat to Matt Gaetz's seat in Congress comes from within his own Party, as his district is firmly Republican. And that's why Gaetz went absolutely ballistic when a primary challenger emerged against him at the last minute. Right before the filing deadline, a Republican filed to challenge him in his primary, and Gaetz thinks this is a conspiracy set up against him by former House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
