According to national statistics, an estimated 9% of the U.S. population will have an eating disorder in their lifetime. This week (Feb. 26-Mar 3) is Eating Disorder Awareness Week and there are a lot of misconceptions around the topic. We tackle the truth about the issue and how to get help with Quinnipiac associate professor, Clotilde Dudley-Smith. Dudley-Smith has presented at the National Teaching Professors Conference on Education and Prevention of Eating Disorders in College Students. She has written for peer-reviewed journals on the topic of anorexia nervosa and risk of exercise. She received grant funding for Interdisciplinary research on eating disorders. The grant enabled research on the education and prevention of eating disorders in college students. Timothy Dudley-Smith is known to English-speaking Christians for the hundreds of hymns, with around 400 published, included in over 250 hymnals globally. But his ministry has extended far beyond writing verse for he was ordained in the Church of England in 1950 (after graduating from Cambridge in 1947), served in Rochester and London, then for many years writing and editing for the Church Pastoral Aid Society (CPAS). In 1973 he was appointed Archdeacon of Norwich, and then Bishop of Thetford (assistant to the Bishop of Norwich).    Throughout his life, he long life, John Stott was a central figure, which is why he was the perfect choice to work on Stott's biography in his retirement. Erik and Justin reveal they are both fans of James Ellroy's L.A. Quartet -- and it informs all of their opinions of the pilot. Justin tries to figure out why Sutherland is in this despite 24 being on the air. Magneto shows up to take over directing duties. The game L.A. Noire gets nothing but praise; as does the L.A. Confidential feature film. Dick Stensland gets re-envisioned as "Stenz the Menace" while Dudley Smith becomes an Odin worshiper. Erik points out the difficulties in making a film about The Hat Squad and Justin suggests a page-one rewrite.
