Did the Dutch Just Elect a Fascist as Their Leader? by Ian Masters
Dr. Reni Moon has paid a very heavy price for daring to speak the truth about the experimental "vaccines" at a Senate hearing convened by Senator Ron Johnson. This is the fascist state of the state where big pharma and weaponized agencies of government persecute ANY ONE who dares to speak the truth. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough absolutely loses his mind on live television and claims Donald Trump will imprison and execute people who oppose him if he wins re-election. His words are BONKERS, but we break down the UniParty's playbook even further. Remember my 180 Degree Rule? Blame other people for doing what YOU are in fact doing? You'll hear it in living color. Plus, Elon Musk's thermonuclear lawsuit against left wing Media Matters gets a little pile-on treatment, as Riley Gaines and Libs of TikTok unearth some unfortunate social media posts by the group's leader. I hate when that happens. Podcast Production: Bob Slone Audio Productions
Sam talks with Wendy Via, Co-Founder and President at The Global Project Against Hate and Extremism, about their analysis of the publicly announced plan for "day one" of the next presidential administration (presumably headed by leading Republifascist candidate Donald Trump). Their report The Far-Right Playbook for American Authoritarianism: Project 2023 states in part, "Their aims include “bringing together conservative allies with a common goal: to take back our country from the radical Left by developing a robust governing agenda and the right people to implement it.” And it has been reported, though denied, that internal Project 2025 discussions have centered around the next conservative president invoking the Insurrection Act on the first day in office to allow the military to quell civil unrest." In Archaism and Actuality: Japan and the Global Fascist Imaginary (Duke UP, 2023) eminent Marxist historian Harry Harootunian explores the formation of capitalism and fascism in Japan as a prime example of the uneven development of capitalism. He applies his theorization of subsumption to examine how capitalism integrates and redirects preexisting social, cultural, and economic practices to guide the present. This subsumption leads to a global condition in which states and societies all exist within different stages and manifestations of capitalism. Drawing on Japanese philosophers Miki Kiyoshi and Tosaka Jun, Marxist theory, and Gramsci's notion of passive revolution, Harootunian shows how the Meiji Restoration of 1868 and its program dedicated to transforming the country into a modern society exemplified a unique path to capitalism. Japan's capitalist expansion in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, rise as an imperial power, and subsequent transition to fascism signal a wholly distinct trajectory into modernity that forecloses any notion of a pure or universal development of capitalism. With Archaism and Actuality, Harootunian offers both a retheorization of capitalist development and a reinterpretation of epochal moments in modern Japanese history. Jingyi Li is a PhD Candidate in Japanese History at the University of Arizona. She researches about early modern Japan, literati, and commercial publishing. Learn more about your ad choices. The big Michigan political story this week: the stunning decision by Flint Congressman Dan Kildee to retire from Congress. We're joined by Pulitzer Prize winning journalist Stephen Henderson to discuss the end of a mini-political dynasty and what it means for 2024 in Michigan. The heat keeps building in Republican politics: Trump refers to Americans who disagree with him as Communists, Fascists, Marxists and vermin - rhetoric that mirrors the words of Adolph Hitler 90 years ago; Republican members of Congress throw insults at each other; One Senator tries to turn a Senate hearing into a cage match, only to have Bernie Sanders play peacemaker; The House ethics committee comes to the shocking conclusion that George Santos is a crook and a liar. Shocking! Trump says it out loud: a 2nd Trump presidency would mean the end of democratic rule as he uses the federal government to shut down dissent Michigan's presidential primary will be February 27, and Donald Trump likely WILL be on the ballot … despite Mark's best efforts New Hampshire's presidential primary will be a month earlier, but the results won't count in the Democratic delegate count The MAGA-controlled Ottawa County Board of Commissioners is looking at spending $4-million to get rid of the county's health director Would-be Democratic U.S. Senate nominee Hill Harper claims he has no bank accounts, no income, and no assets … even though he's loaned his campaign nearly a half-million dollars, owns two homes and at least one business Ohio Republicans are trying to figure out how to cancel the statewide vote in support of a reproductive rights constitutional amendment – another example of MAGA Republicans trying to overturn an election Stephen Henderson and Jeff got together for a deep-dive into Michigan politics and politicians. Henderson won the 2014 Pulitzer Prize for commentary and the 2014 National Association of Black Journalists Journalist of the Year Award while writing for the Detroit Free Press. He is the host of Detroit Today,a weekday talk show that features conversations about inequality of all kinds, democratic and civic participation and great ideas from contemporary books. He is also the host of Detroit Public Television's American Black Journal, a weekly talk show featuring African American perspectives on topics around arts, culture, and community issues important to the city of Detroit, the state of Michigan and the nation. A native of Detroit, Henderson graduated from the University of Detroit Jesuit High School in 1988 and the University of Michigan in 1992. He has worked for the Baltimore Sun, the Chicago Tribune, the Lexington Herald-Leader, and Knight Ridder as a reporter, editorial writer and editor. He was the Editorial Page Editor and a columnist for the Detroit Free Press from 2009 to 2017. The "Celebrating 91 Indictments" mugshot mug! The former president is sending loud and clear signals that a second Trump term would be a fascist nightmare, complete with mass immigration raids and internment camps. In Washington, Sen. Bernie Sanders diffused a physical confrontation between a fellow Senator and the head of the Teamsters. And author & journalist Rachel Maddow tells Stephen that former president Trump is deliberately using dehumanizing language against his opponents and inviting critics to label him a fascist as he seeks to return to power. Co-hosts Jared Yates Sexton and Nick Hauselman discuss Donald Trump's rhetoric on the campaign trail, and how it could widen his base despite being rooted in fascistic Naziism. Joe Manchin is "retiring" as he realizes he couldn't win another West Virginia Senate race, and wants to play spoiler in the presidential contest. They finish off the pod by talking about The Rock weighing a political bid plus how the right wing concocts their own ridiculousness, in this case Ouija Boards and AI, and then scare themselves with it endlessly. It was a dark and stormy night in the small town of Elmwood. The wind howled like a banshee, and the rain beat against the windows like a thousand tiny fists. The townspeople were all huddled in their homes, safe and sound from the elements. But little did they know, a terror was brewing in the shadows. Deep within the dark woods outside of town, a coven of evil cats was gathered. They were led by a sinister black cat named Mittens, who had a thirst for power and a hatred of humanity.

In Part Two of our episode, it's Starship Troopers, from 1997. Paul Verhoeven takes us to a far future society in which everyone is free so long as you're a Fascist. There are a lot of elements of Robert A. Heinlein's original story in there, but it's definitely a different plot line and a different mentality that, in hindsight, may have been more prescient than anyone suspected at the time. COMING ATTRACTIONS: In our next episode, we take a peek at a pair of films where the only thing they have in common is their title. After that, all bets are off. Fascist ideology has been on the rise, with a calculated effort on the part of fascists, to infiltrate environmental movements. Rewilding has seen its fair share of this over the years. As a return to our egalitarian roots, rewilding is the political opposite of fascism. And yet, there are foot holds of sort, within the ideology and world view that fascists can exploit for their own gain. To protect ourselves from this fascist creep, we need to be aware of it and also aware of the problematic aspects of where our own ideologies can be misconstrued to lead us astray. In this episode I'm chatting with Cara Delia Schwab.Cara is an anthropologist with a masters degree from the University of Heidelberg. Her thesis was on racism and resistance through media and art in the US. She went back to school to get a B.A. in social work and has been working in that field since 2015 (with immigrants and refugees mostly). She is a “wilderness” instructor in training with Wildnisschule Odenwald. Her plan for the future is to teach foraging classes through her business www.wildnisliebe.de. She has an allotment garden, where she grows her own food. Her ideal life would be writing and spending the rest of the day outside somewhere weaving baskets and working with her hands.NotesCara Delia Schwabwww.wildnisliebe.deCara's InstagramWildnisschule Odenwald—The Rise of EcofascismHierarchy in the ForestMothers and OthersThe Lies That BindNo Politics But Class PoliticsSupport the show

We discuss the origins of No Platforming as one of a plurality of antifascist tactics, we dispel the mythologies around critiques of the tactic taken up by elements of the British Media, and we confront the history of contrarian free speech absolutism on the Left: the story of the Revolutionary Communist Party and its reactionary reinvention as the Spiked/LM Network.Support the showSupport the podcast:Linktree: https://linktr.ee/acidhorizonAcid Horizon on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/acidhorizonpodcastZer0 Books and Repeater Media Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/zer0repeaterMerch: http://www.crit-drip.comOrder 'Anti-Oculus: A Philosophy of Escape': https://repeaterbooks.com/product/anti-oculus-a-philosophy-of-escape/Order 'The Philosopher's Tarot': https://repeaterbooks.com/product/the-philosophers-tarot/Subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts: https://tinyurl.com/169wvvhiHappy Hour at Hippel's (Adam's blog): https://happyhourathippels.wordpress.comRevolting Bodies (Will's Blog): https://revoltingbodies.comSplit Infinities (Craig's Substack): https://splitinfinities.substack.com/Music: https://sereptie.bandcamp.com/ and https://thecominginsurrection.bandcamp.com/
Rundown - Intro with Troubadour Dave Gunders - 00:35 "Ain't No Way You're Coming Home" by Dave Gunders - 13:36 Rabbi Bruce Dollin - 19:39 When Jews experience problems and boy do we have problems with Hamas now, it is helpful to know what a wise Rabbi, well versed in the Torah, has to say. We have that here. For nearly three decades, Bruce Dollin was Senior Rabbi at the legendary Hebrew Educational Alliance in Denver. Rabbi Dollin provides valuable knowledge, advice and predictions in the aftermath of last Saturday's bloodthirsty attack by Hamas on Israel. Rabbi Dollin explains how Colorado's community can best respond. There was an outpouring of love and support last Monday night at Denver's Temple Emanuel and Rabbi Dollin recalls what moved that crowd to give Denver Mayor Mike Johnston a standing ovation. The long simmering nature of the Hamas - Israel conflict is explained with the wise Rabbi providing many Mosaic Law references to proper Jewish responses during dire wartime circumstances. Jewish law demands certain prayers and procedures when captives are taken. Discussed are the Amalek and their Jew-hating allies unalterably opposed to Jewish people existing in Israel, or anywhere. The charter of Hamas boldly states its Jew hatred and Israel can no longer tolerate this terror group next door – or anywhere. The roles of Iran, Qatar and Russia are also considered. The performances this week of President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Tony Blinken are reviewed, and praised. The complicated Bibi Netanyahu situation is analyzed – including memories of the infamous Iran Nuke Deal and Netanyahu's forceful Biden-boycotted 2015 Capitol speech in opposition. The world is significantly changed given the barbarity and severity of the Hamas attack on the Jewish State of Israel. Rabbi Dollin is confident that Israel and her allies will beat back these enemies. Rabbi Dollin knows Israel. Rabbi Dollin has long fought anti-Israel indoctrination on college campuses. Dollin organized a memorable protest in 2002 at Colorado College against Hanan Ashrawi, an advocate of terror against Israel. College campus anti-Jew hatred remains problematic for Israel now. https://www.nytimes.com/2002/08/30/us/invitation-to-palestinian-draws-protest-at-colorado-college.html The significance of the (10/7) day of Hamas' shameful ambush (Shabbat/Simchat Torah) gets analyzed. Fascists cannot abide human freedom, the type embodied by Torah and the Jewish people. Jews value life here on Earth. Israelis must now fight back, through their tears. Troubadour Dave Gunders has a rare sad song appropriate for this week titled "Ain't No Way You're Coming Home." Ominous current situation is reviewed. Ain't no way to sugarcoat it. We've got the blues. https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=9tkJZPVyGTA
David Waldman embeds his machete of veracity into the forehead of falsity on today's special KITM. Fascists are supposed to run their trains on time, but the MAGA crazy train crashed before it could even depart from dysfunction junction. The Gop's hand-picked fascist Steve Scalice bailed out of the House Speaker race once he realized that his 113 votes could never beat Jim Jordan's 99. With Jim Jordan on his own, the speaker position is now Gym's to lose. But what would be the chaotic fun in that? And so, Donald Trump's wandering eye now rests upon Elise Stefanik. Proud Boys and Moonies seem like strange bedfellows, until you see how much they both enjoy wielding their “rods of iron”. Meanwhile, it seems that Senator Bob Menendez has spent the last few years building a strong defense against any accusations of there ever being a two-tiered system of justice in the US. Wisconsin's Republican Assembly leader, Robin Vos is still thirsty for a Janet Protasiewicz impeachment, but most Gop authoritarians have moved on to other hijinks, including gerrymandering their state into partisan archipelagos.

When Fascists Fight | The Humanist Report (8/28-9/1) by Mike Figueredo
The fascists in Britain have found a leader known across the country: the sinister yet complex Oswald Mosley. Following stints as an MP for both the Tories and Labour, Mosley, a veteran of the First World War, forms the British Union of Fascists in 1932, making a big effort to appeal to women and the working class. Although his rhetoric is surprisingly anti-militarist, the violence that occurs at his fascist meeting in Kensington Olympia in 1934, the same month as the Night of the Long Knives, will have irreversible effects on the development of his new party. Join Tom and Dominic in the second episode of our series on British Fascism, as they look at Oswald Mosley, his influences, his role within British society, and the rise of the British Union of Fascists… *The Rest Is History Live Tour 2023*: Tom and Dominic are back on tour this autumn!
