Cheryl Mestra nació en Caracas, Venezuela. Profesional odontológica con postgrados en cirugía oral. Sin embargo, desde hace muchos años encontró la pasión en el deporte y hoy logra ganarse la vida haciendo lo que más le gusta. Certificaciones en Crossfit, yoga y nutrición deportiva. Adicionalmente, sus estudios en ciencias deportivas la convierten en un recurso invaluable para los atletas de la ciudad de Bogotá. También, tiene ayuda a miles que la siguen en Facebook e Instagram. Como corredora ha completado tres maratones, incluyendo la maratón de Boston del 2009 y también la de New York. Su historial atlético en el ballet desde los tres años de edad le inculcó la disciplina necesaria para progresar en todos los ámbitos de su vida. Actualmente se está preparando para correr la media maratón de Bogotá en Julio del 2017. Cheryl actualmente lidera el club de entrenamiento funcional de Nike, llamado Nike Training Club. Este club que es patrocinado por Nike y está diseñado para servir a la comunidad totalmente gratis. Solo es necesario ir a la página web www.Nike.com/Bogota para reservar tu cupo en una de las dos sesiones semanales que ponen a disposición de los atletas. Nike tiene clubes locales en 66 países en la actualidad. Puedes ver en Nike si tu país tiene esta comunidad a tu servicio. Existen dos clubes: Entrenamiento Funcional y club de Running. Nike Entrenamiento Funcional: Es el club enfocado en el fortalecimiento del cuerpo con múltiples disciplinas. Se trabaja al aire libre o en gimnasios. Se enseña a las personas a hacer los movimientos y los ejercicios de manera correcta. Todo con un ambiente divertido y saludable. Nike Running Club: Este club es dirigido por Daniela Mora e invita a todas las personas de todos los niveles a incorporar el hábito del running en sus vidas. La primera vez que decidas asistir a una sesión de entrenamiento los entrenadores y pacers te prestaran especial atención para brindarte la guía necesaria. FitLosophy Aparte de ser la Master Trainer de Nike, Cheryl ha decidido seguir sanando personas. Antes lo hacía por medio de promover salud oral, pero ahora por medio de la empresa que fundó llamada FitLosophy lo hace con un enfoque deportivo. La empresa busca inspirar y ayudar a personas con asesorías alimenticias y deportivas. La visión de la empresa es llevar hacia el bienestar a todas las personas que quieran aprender. Personas en búsqueda de un balance de vida, plenitud y un ritmo de vida saludable; es el perfil de las personas que Cheryl y su compañera de viaje ayudan. Yoga, running, pesas y Crossfit son algunos de los métodos que puedes encontrar en FitLosophy. Debido a que Cheryl conoce las necesidades nutricionales de un deportista resulta un excelente combinación para ayudarte a mejorar tu rendimiento deportivo.
