Let me speak to those of you who might be goingthrough one of life's tougher chapters right now — maybe it's grief, uncertainty, or a sense of loss. And then, just when you're barely holding it together, someone — well-meaning, of course — says, “You should just begrateful.” And you feel that surge inside, that urge to say, “You don't understand. Please just shut up.” Because it's not that simple, is it? It gets even harder when you start comparing your life to others — those who seem happier, wealthier, healthier, younger. Their light can feel blinding when you're sitting in the dark. But here's the thing: youcan't silence real emotions like sadness, fear, or despair by slapping gratitude on top like a bandage. That's not healing — that's avoidance.Highlights of this Episode- How to Reset into Gratitude Habits- Navigating the Tech Age- What brings Peace?#LivingToBE #GuardYourMind #ChooseWisdom #DigitalDetox #MindfulLiving #InnerPeaceJourney #SpiritualGrowth #NewEpisode #Gratitude #EmotionalWellness #PodcastResetUseful Information:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

These days, it feels more important than everto stand guard at the doorway of your mind. We're living in a time where information pours infrom every direction—so much noise… but very little wisdom. And if we're not careful, that noise can start shaping our inner worldbefore we even notice. However, we also possess the incredible power of choice. And right now, that power matters more than ever. Wisdom comes from a deeper place— from intuitive knowing shaped through experience. It's the voice inside that grows louder the more we listen. This year I have been highlighting some of local areas in the U.S. where people with Parkinson's take classes designed for their needs, provide social support, and community. It is truly magical to have this kind of central location just focused on your needs as a person with Parkinson's. If this exist in your area, like Power for Parkinson's in Austin and my guest today from Parkinson's Body & Mind in Connecticut, please take advantage of it. Exercise is the only proven way to slow the progression of the disease. Let's exercise and build a community together. Lynn Hagerbrant is the co-founder of Parkinson's Body & Mind. It is a not-for-profit organization that provides exercise classes in partnership with local YMCAs and now offer them virtually. They have a speaker series, support groups and mentorships. It is a one stop shop for PwP and their care partners. Most this is free for the PWP and their care partner removing a barrier for some to access these kinds of wellness programs. Learn more by listening to this conversation with Lynn. Ever feel like you've tried EVERYTHING—therapy, retreats, prayer meetings, all the books—but you're still struggling? This episode reveals what might be the missing piece: integrating your body into the healing process. Dani and Jim introduce The Third Act, a personalized coaching program that helps you birth the authentic essence of who you were created to be. It's not just about your past or present—it's about building the future you deserve. The Three Acts of Life ACT ONE: Formation The experiences that shaped you—childhood, relationships, choices made for you. The conditioning that formed your reactions to life. ACT TWO: The Awakening Waking up to patterns, hurt, and wrong turns. Many of us stay stuck here in coping mechanisms. (And that's okay—there's work to do.) ACT THREE: Coming Home Birthing the truest essence of who you are. Making peace with your past AND future. Integrating body, mind, and soul to become who you were always meant to be. Why Your Body Matters You are a triune being: Body, mind, and soul—one integrated whole made in God's image. The problem: We've abandoned our bodies because life abandoned us. We've become over-thinkers because we're under-feelers. Christian culture taught us to shame the flesh, but Jesus came in flesh and blood. Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit—it deserves honor and integration. The science: Trauma is encoded chemically and electrically in your body. Your nervous system holds experiences even when your mind doesn't. You can't think your way out of what's stored in your body. What The Third Act Includes 30-50 personalized practices (you choose what works for YOU): Movement & dance practices Self-soothing techniques (child hug, breathwork) Vagus nerve regulation Visualization & future-self anchoring StrengthsFinder assessment Body-mind-soul integration work Simple practice to try now—The Child Hug: Right hand in left armpit, left hand on right shoulder Sway gently and breathe Say: "I'm not leaving you. I'm here with you." Who This Is For ✓ You've tried everything but still struggle ✓ You're hijacked by anxiety, anger, or reactive patterns ✓ You know there's MORE but don't know how to access it ✓ You're an over-thinker who's actually an under-feeler ✓ You want to make peace with your body, not war with it ✓ You love Jesus but feel lost Real talk: 90% of Dani's clients have never had a coach before. You're in good company. The Goal: Future You That peaceful, integrated version of you 10 years from now? She already exists in God's hand. The Third Act helps you anchor to your future self and build the bridge from here to there. Success looks like: Moving through a trigger in 3 minutes instead of being stuck for days. The goal isn't to never be triggered—it's to feel it, honor it, release it, and move forward.
As medical advancements continue to shape the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disability and illness, technology is often presented as a path to autonomy. Rebecca Monteleone shows how such technologies contribute to a cruel double bind, forcing disabled people to be accountable for adapting to a world built by and for nondisabled people while dismissing their lived experiences in favor of medical expertise. In the new book The Double Bind of Disability, Monteleone explores anecdotes about prenatal genetic screening, deep brain stimulation, and do-it-yourself artificial pancreas systems, exposing new relationships among disability, authority, knowledge, and responsibility. Monteleone is joined here in conversation with Ashley Shew. Rebecca Monteleone is associate professor of disability and technology at the University of Toledo and author of The Double Bind of Disability: How Medical Technology Shapes Bodily Authority. On this thought-provoking episode of Quite Frankly, Frankie Val welcomes Dr. Chris Cormier, a pioneering chiropractor and founder of the Nerve Health Institute, for a deep dive into the mysterious intelligence of the human body. Together they explore quantum neurology, brain–body reconnection, the power of frequency and light, and how emotional, physical, and environmental stresses silently “disconnect” our cellular wiring. Dr. Chris shares jaw-dropping stories, from paralysis reversed to chronic pain dissolved, and explains his OWL Method of oxygen, water, and light, plus the groundbreaking frequency tools he uses to restore function. The conversation ranges from cellular communication to trauma, DNA inheritance, psychic stress, protection from energy drains, and why modern medicine often overlooks the body's self-healing blueprint. Frankie ties it all together with personal reflections, community insight, and open lines with callers navigating their own healing journeys. A rich, fascinating, and at times mind-bending exploration of how the body really works...and how much potential we still haven't tapped.

What a wonderful opportunity we have here today, speaking with Anne Schubert, who developed the Mind/Body and has been exploring Bowen for over 38 years.Anne shares with us her history of how she went from school teaching to Bowen and the development of the Mind/Body approach she has been using now for many years. We discuss the value of letting the inherent wisdom of the body guide the process and how that incorporates the mind, body, emotions, and spiritual aspects of our nature. Anne shares from her experience why the less is best method works well for her and how she can sometimes leave a 30 minute break after a procedure to really allow the body to process what comes up. Anne speaks of how the original issues that cause dysfunction can often go right back to birth and very early childhood. This is a beautiful interview with one of the world's most experienced practitioners and well worth your time to listen to.If you would like to learn more about Anne and connect with the Mind/Body approach, you can learn more here:https://www.greatlakesbowen.com.au/scripts/about.phphttps://bowentraining.com.au/bta-instructors/anne-schubert/ https://www.healthartisans.com.au/mind-body-bowen/If you would like to learn more about the work of the BTPA, your local practitioner, where to train in the UK and much more (remember students have FREE membership), then check out our website and socials at:https://www.bowentherapy.org.uk/ https://www.facebook.com/BowenBTPA https://www.instagram.com/bowenbtpa/Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/integral-health-with-ben-calder--3335603/support.
Carl Gustav Jung once summized: “It's not famine, not earthquakes, not microbes, not cancer, but man himself who is man's greatest danger to man.”He went on to say that there's no real protection againstwhat he called “psychic epidemics.”Those are the kind of epidemics that don't attack the body — they attack the mind. And lately, it feels like one of those epidemics is spreading faster than ever. It's not a virus we can see under a microscope. It's something far more subtle — and far more dangerous. It's called collective insanity. That's when whole groups of people begin to share the same irrational beliefs, the same emotions, the same behaviors — drifting further and further from reality. But history also shows us that this kind of collective madness never lasts forever. It always collapses under the weight of truth. Sometimes painfully, tragically — but it collapses. In Germany, it ended when the war was lost and the truthcould no longer be denied. The way back — the only way back — is truth-telling.And courage. It takes brave souls and compassionate communities to speak truth, even when it's unpopular or unsafe. It takes honesty — emotional honesty — to face the grief, guilt, and fear without turning away. And when that happens collectively, healing begins.#CollectiveMadness #PsychicEpidemic #TheRealVirus #TruthInChaos #MassDelusion #SpiritualAwakening #HealingTheMind #FaithOverFearUseful Information:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

There was a time when the media industry lived by the motto “sex sells.” Not anymore. The new currency is outrage. Social media giants have learned that anger drives engagement — and engagement drives profit. So, the algorithms are tuned to reward the most divisive, shocking, and hate-fueled content. The more we rage, the more they gain. And the result? We see it all around us. Acts of kindness, respect, and compassion are drowned out by cruelty and contempt. Civil disagreement has been replaced by digital warfare.Speaking the truth matters more than ever before.#SpeakingTruth #VoicesForTruth #MediaAndMorality #DigitalAgeOfDeception #FreePressFreeMind #EmetAndSheker #SpiritualAwakening #SoulReflectionsInformation:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

There are days when it feels as though the world isunraveling. Truth is questioned. Values are mocked. Evenmeaning itself seems up for debate. The Danish philosopher Kierkegaard once warned that the sickness of the soul sets in when a higher purpose is abandoned. In that empty space, something else always rushes in. This is often outrage, oversimplified narratives, and the temptation to divide the world into “us” and “them.”The sociologist James Davison Hunter describes thismoment as the rise of a new, nihilistic culture. He writes that it's defined not by what it builds, but by what it tears down. A culture driven by fear, demonization, and the will to destroy. He notes that identities are increasingly formed through opposition: I know who I am only because I knowwho my enemy is. And from that comes rage, hatred, and the thirst for revenge. In a strange, distorted way, that rage becomes a source of meaning. But is that really the only story available to us?This episode explores gratitude as a real antidote to nihilism and finding purpose by seeing the world in a different way.#spirituality #livingtobe #nihilism #PurposeDrivenLife #MoralCompass #BeyondPolitics Information:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

The poet Rainer Maria Rilke imagines a silence so deep, so complete, that all the noise—the chatter of neighbors, thehum of our senses, all the distractions we pile on ourselves—falls away. And in that stillness, he says, we might finally glimpse the divine with real clarity. What strikes me is how often we treat noise as normal, almost comforting. We scroll, we chatter, we keep the background going—TV, music, podcasts, even when we're not listening—just to fill the space. But maybe what we're really doing is avoiding the silence itself. Because silence can be uncomfortable. It asks us to listeninward, to hear the voice we've been ignoring—the voice of authenticity, of truth, of God.#LiveOnPurpose #IntentionalLiving #Rilke #StillBecoming #SacredRest #LivingToBE #NervousSystemHealing #SlowLivingMovement #FaithOverFear #FromDoingToBeing #HealingInStillness #SpiritLedLiving #RealConnectionMattersInformation:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

Life isn't a straight line. It comes in stops and starts, ups and downs. Sometimes it feels like you're moving forward, other times like you've taken ten steps back. But over time, I've come to see that life moves incycles—just like the seasons in nature. For thousands of years, ancient sages and saints spokeabout a sacred order running through all of creation. They believed there was a divine intelligence woven into the very fabric of life. And now, interestingly, modern science is starting to echo those teachings—recognizing patterns ofconnection, evolution, and even a hint of universal consciousness.Highlights of this Episode:- The Law of the Seasons- How the Five Elements influence us#LiveOnPurpose #IntentionalLiving #FromBurnoutToBreakthrough #StillBecoming #SacredRest #LivingToBE #NervousSystemHealing #SlowLivingMovement #FaithOverFear #FromDoingToBeing #HealingInStillness #SpiritLedLiving #RealConnectionMattersInformation:www.reinogevers.comBooks:Sages, Saints and SinnersDeep Walking for Body Mind and SoulWalking on Edge: A pilgrimage to Santiago

Send us a textModern medicine rests on a centuries‑old decision to split mind from body. That fault line still runs through every clinic and classroom, raising an uncomfortable question: if the foundation ignores half of human experience, how scientific are we really? In this episode, Dr Eeks talks with physician‑author Dr Robert Smith about why his new book Has Medicine Lost Its Mind? argues it is time to reunite what never should have been divided. What We CoverThe Great Split: A medieval Church decree let scientists dissect bodies but barred them from the head, setting up the mental‑vs‑physical divide that still guides clinical practice.Primary‑Care Patchwork: Family doctors now manage roughly 75 percent of U.S. mental‑health care despite minimal formal training in mental health.Medicalizing Real‑Life Messes: Trauma, chronic stress, and tough social conditions often get reframed as diseases because the system lacks better options. The “Complex” Patient Label: How “complex” often translates to “we're overwhelmed and don't know what's really wrong.”Culture on Autopilot: Rituals, hierarchy, and resistance to change can block genuine healing even when evidence points elsewhere.A Way Forward: The biopsychosocial model that addresses lab values and life stories—and what it would take for mainstream medicine to embrace it.If you have ever felt that your doctor's office visit left half of you outside the exam room, press play and join the conversation about what real, whole‑person healthcare could look like. Dr. Robert C. Smith is a nationally acclaimed authority on evidence‑based mental health care and doctor–patient communication. A University Distinguished Professor of Medicine and Psychiatry at Michigan State University, he pioneered the first patient‑centered training approach that teaches clinicians how to forge strong, collaborative relationships with their patients. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, including Master status from the American College of Physicians and the prestigious George Engel Award for Outstanding Research. Dr. Smith has authored more than 150 peer‑reviewed articles and continues to garner hundreds of academic citations each year. Episode #1005 Most guys think getting healthy means grinding harder at the gym or forcing themselves into a strict diet. But in this conversation, we go deeper. Doug sits down with Kate Abate—performance coach, former pro bodybuilder, and gerontologist—for a raw, eye-opening look at what real wellness actually looks like for men today. Kate works closely with men in The Powerful Man movement, and she's seen firsthand how physical transformation is just the tip of the iceberg. From emotional eating and decision fatigue to the pressure of always being the provider, Kate breaks down what's really holding guys back—and how to start shifting it. This isn't about doing more. It's about understanding the patterns, the expectations, and the unspoken weight most men carry—and learning how to make space for yourself again. If you've ever found yourself thinking, “I know what to do, I just don't do it,” this episode will hit home.
Ketamine creates the space to see your truth, but its integration that transforms that truth into lasting change. In this episode, host Peter Fenger is joined by Christi Myers, Founder and CEO of Flow Integrative®, a pioneering Ketamine Infusion center focused on expanding access to psychedelic-assisted therapy. With nearly 20 years of experience as a paramedic, Christi has served in high-impact roles, from working with the Department of Defense to educating the next generation of EMS professionals as a faculty member and assistant director of Emergency Medical Services at Victor Valley College. Under her leadership, Flow has become a national model for employer-driven ketamine treatment, offering a trauma-informed, dual-modality approach that integrates both medical and mental health care. In today's conversation, we explore how Ketamine Infusion Therapy offers a unique, action-oriented path to healing. Hey Heal Squad! If you've ever looked in the mirror and thought “Is this just how it is now?” If so, this is exactly what you need to hear! In Part 1 of our conversation with Denise Kirtley, she shares how she went from burned out, binge eating, and pre-diabetic in her late 40s to competing in a bodybuilding competition in her 50s—after never having stepped foot in a gym. Denise opens up about the moment that made her change everything, how she overcame self-doubt and shame, and how strength training helped her reclaim her body, her energy, and her confidence. She also gets real about how to make the first step when you feel stuck, how to break the cycle of emotional eating, and why midlife isn't a decline—it's a decision. Whether you're navigating perimenopause, burnout, or just feel like you're “starting over,” Denise will remind you that it's never too late to become the strongest version of yourself. HEALERS & HEAL-LINERS: Transformation starts with one honest moment. For Denise, it wasn't a rock bottom—it was realizing her wedding ring didn't fit. That moment of discomfort sparked a complete lifestyle shift. You can lose 50 pounds without extremes. Denise didn't crash diet or obsess over perfection. She focused on consistent habits, strength training, and choosing long-term wellness over quick fixes. Emotional eating keeps you stuck in survival mode. Denise recognized how food was numbing her stress. Once she got curious instead of judgmental, everything started to shift. -- HEAL SQUAD SOCIALS IG: https://www.instagram.com/healsquad/ TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@healsquadxmaria HEAL SQUAD RESOURCES: Heal Squad Website:https://www.healsquad.com/ Heal Squad x Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/HealSquad/membership Maria Menounos Website: https://www.mariamenounos.com My Curated Macy's Page: Shop My Macy's Storefront Prenuvo: Prenuvo.com/MARIA for $300 off Delete Me: https://bit.ly/43rkHwi code: SQUAD EMR-Tek Red Light: https://emr-tek.com/discount/Maria30 for 30% off Airbnb: https://www.airbnb.com/ DENISE KIRTLEY RESOURCES: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/fiftyfitnessjourney/?hl=en Website: https://rebellionbody.com/ Get coaching: https://rebellionbody.com/pages/coaching Challenge: https://my.playbookapp.io/denise-kirtley/programs/pull-up-program/23454 ABOUT MARIA MENOUNOS: Emmy Award-winning journalist, TV personality, actress, 2x NYT best-selling author, former pro-wrestler and brain tumor survivor, Maria Menounos' passion is to see others heal and to get better in all areas of life.
