Flooring Porter crossed the finish line in first place at Cheltenham this week for the second year running. The horse was bought by a four man syndicate in the West of Ireland after seeing an ad on Facebook. Flooring Porter won a second successive front-running victory in the Stayers' Hurdle, the feature on the third day of the 2022 Cheltenham Festival. The Gavin Cromwell-trained seven-year-old, under Danny Mullins, went straight to the front and dictated the race before landing victory. 888Sport's Sandro di Michele witnessed this very strong performance, rounds up the rest of the day and looks ahead to the biggest race of the Festival, tomorrow's Gold Cup.

But that was only the start, as Rachael would go on to be crowned Leading Jockey and equal a record of six winners on the week, set by one of the modern greats, Ruby Walsh. Chris thinks Melon has a strong chance of getting his first Festival success. The last grade one that is covered on Day 3 is the feature Stayers Hurdle. With Thyme Hill being ruled out Chris thinks Paisley Park can regain his crown. However Jim thinks the Irish might have answers with the improving Flooring Porter and the versatile The Storyteller.
