In week three of Ancient Wisdom in a Modern World, Pastor Dan Belshaw explores the subtle trap of self-indulgence - how excess in specifically food and alcohol, can slowly dull our hearts to God. Dan unpacks Proverbs' call to live with wisdom and self-control, showing that true satisfaction isn't found in feeding every craving but in walking closely with Jesus. This message is a compassionate invitation to freedom, focus, and a life lived well before God.

But in reality, being willing to walk away is what creates safety, self-respect, and healing for both people involved. In this video, Thais Gibson explains why walking away from a Fearful Avoidant isn't rejection — it's regulation. You'll learn how distance restores emotional balance, how it triggers subconscious accountability, and why this boundary can actually deepen real love and long-term connection. You'll learn: ✅ Why Fearful Avoidants often respect partners who set boundaries ✅ How nervous system regulation and space create transformation ✅ The neuroscience behind attachment ruptures and emotional reset ✅ How calling out unhealthy patterns builds trust rather than destroys it ✅ What “walking away” really means, and how to do it without threats or ultimatums ✅ Why this space is essential for genuine reconciliation and growth Episode Breakdown: 00:00 – Intro 01:08 – 1. On this episode of Crazy Wisdom, Stewart Alsop sits down with Leo Guinan to talk about the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, his vision of AI as a tool for personal agency, and the Bottega model inspired by the Medici workshops as a way to reimagine networks, mastery, and transformation. The conversation moves through themes of exponential versus linear growth in the economy, the decline of manufacturing in Ohio, China's rise through complexity and control of supply chains, the dangers of time violence and information asymmetry, and the potential of prediction markets to reshape politics and business. Leo also shares his creative project Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future, which he's building as a group art experiment on Substack — you can find it at hitchhikertothefuture.substack.com.Check out this GPT we trained on the conversationTimestamps00:05 Stewart introduces Leo Guinan and they discuss the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, personal agency revolution, and the Bottega model rooted in Medici workshops.00:10 Leo reflects on networks vs. individuals, the genius–insanity line, and how exponential growth clashes with linear wages in Silicon Valley.00:15 They explore economic tension, the decline of wages, mastery in Bottegas, and the vision of decentralized innovation hubs.00:20 Conversation turns to Argentina, decentralization, and Leo's Ohio roots, tying local manufacturing decline, Anchor Hocking, and drug addiction to global shifts.00:25 Leo shares his frustration with student debt, the fakeness of the economy, and neuroses encoded into AI models like Gemini.00:30 They examine China's manufacturing dominance, mercantilism, complexity inflation, and the concept of time violence.00:35 Leo explains infinite predictors, cooperation, and consciousness as network awareness, citing Creator HQ as conscious technology.00:40 Discussion moves to rigorous mysticism, deterministic transformation, probabilistic futures, and the monkey and the pedestal metaphor.00:45 They analyze 1971 as a break between linear and exponential growth, compute access, surveillance states, and the power of human spite.00:50 Leo imagines algorithm manipulation, local AI, and prediction markets, referencing futarchy and political false choices.00:55 They close with Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future, Leo's group art project on Substack, and the rediscovery of ancient wisdom.Key InsightsThe heart of Leo Guinan's work is what he calls the Manhattan Project for Human Potential, a recognition that artificial intelligence isn't just about technology but about a personal agency revolution. He frames AI as a mirror that reveals how networks of people, rather than isolated individuals, drive intelligence and creativity. The Bottega model, inspired by the Medici workshops, is central to Leo's vision. By gathering diverse minds in tight-knit communities where mastery and exploration thrive, Bottegas become nodes of transformation — miniature Silicon Valleys where reality is fluid and imagination creates exponential value.A recurring theme is the structural flaw of modern economies: wages grow linearly while technology and capital compound exponentially. This creates systemic inequality, leaving most people crushed by rising costs while the top flourishes, a dynamic Leo witnessed firsthand in both Silicon Valley and his Ohio hometown.Leo introduces complexity inflation and time violence as hidden forces of the system. Complexity is rewarded over simplicity, making technology harder for everyday people, while time violence lets some actors leverage others' time to their own advantage, turning the economy into an arms race of asymmetries.Consciousness, for Leo, is about networks that are aware of themselves. He praises simple, embodied tools like Creator HQ that respect users' lived reality and contrasts them with AI systems unmoored from the real world. True mastery, he argues, is embodied, consistent, and grounded in human transformation rather than probabilistic shortcuts.Prediction markets emerge as a future-facing tool, offering a way to test decisions, hedge uncertainty, and surface blind spots. Leo envisions organizations running internal prediction markets and even rethinking politics by holding leaders accountable to explicit promises rather than vague partisan change. At the personal level, Leo is experimenting with transformation through his Hitchhiker's Guide to the Future project on Substack, a group art process that forces him out of his engineering comfort zone. He ties this back to ancient wisdom — from Buddha to Renaissance workshops — showing that the process of transformation has always been a deeply human practice we must continually rediscover.

In this episode of Truth Be Told Paranormal, host Tony Sweet takes listeners on a mind-expanding journey through time and mystery in “Ancient Aliens or Ancient Wisdom? Rethinking Our Origins.” Are the great monuments of the past — from the pyramids of Egypt to Göbekli Tepe — evidence of alien intervention, or do they point to a lost human civilization with extraordinary spiritual and scientific knowledge? Tony explores the latest archaeological discoveries, submerged cities, and mysterious alignments that challenge what we think we know about our beginnings. Blending science, spirituality, and philosophy, Tony offers a thought-provoking perspective: maybe the gods weren't visitors from the stars… maybe they were us. What if humanity's next evolution isn't about technology, but about remembering the consciousness we once had? Join Tony Sweet as he uncovers the secrets of our forgotten past — and asks whether awakening that ancient wisdom could be the key to our future.

Friends-There's music in all things, if men had ears: Their earth is but an echo of the spheres.”—Lord Byron, "Don Juan"Welcome back to The BH Sales Kennel Kelp Holistic Healing Hour. I'm your host, Grandpa Bill, and last week we laid the foundation for a truly meaningful life by talking about the Second Self—Aristotle's ideal of Virtuous Friendship.""Today, we're going to zoom out and look at the ultimate goal of all that virtuous action and profound connection. We're talking about the Greek concept that defines the entire holistic approach: Eudaimonia.""It's a word that's often mistranslated, but its true meaning is the key to lasting contentment. Let's get into it.""Let's start with the word itself. I want you to say it with me, nice and slow: 'Yoo-dye-moh-NEE-uh.'"Pronunciation: Yoo-dye-moh-NEE-uhDefinition: Eudaimonia (εὐδαιμονία) is often translated as 'happiness.' But that is shallow and misleading. 'Happiness' in English sounds temporary, based on external circumstance or fleeting feeling."The Greek root of the word tells the real story: 'Eu-' means good, and 'daimon' means spirit or genius or inner self.""So, Eudaimonia literally means having a good guiding spirit or, more powerfully, 'living well and doing well.' It is a state of human flourishing.""Imagine two people: One wins the lottery, throws wild parties for a year, and feels happy. The other is a dedicated scholar, a caring parent, and a generous volunteer. They live a life of commitment, struggle, and deep purpose, and they feel a deep sense of meaning.""The first person has 'happiness.' The second person has Eudaimonia. It's not a burst of joy; it's the deep satisfaction that comes from realizing your highest potential and living in alignment with your best self—that Virtuous Self we discussed last time."The Wisdom Segment: Eudaimonia DefinedThe Narrative: Flourishing, Not FeelingPhilosophical#Eudaimonia ,#FlourishingLife, #Aristotle, #AncientWisdom,Self-Improvement#LifePurpose ,#MeaningfulLife, #VirtueEthics Podcast/Wellness#HolisticHealth, #GrandpaBill, #WellnessJourney, #LiveWellDoWell,Conclusion and Call to Action"So, your challenge this week is to assess your own life with the lens of Eudaimonia.""Ask yourself: Am I truly flourishing? Am I engaged in activities and surrounded by relationships that are developing my best self? Are my choices leading me toward that deep, abiding sense of 'living well and doing well?'""Prioritize the friends who inspire you toward virtue. Invest your time in the meaningful actions that define your purpose. That is the true blueprint for Eudaimonia.""I'm Grandpa Bill. Thank you for joining me on The BH Sales Kennel Kelp Holistic Healing Hour. We'll talk again soon."

The crisis of our age may not be rooted in the political, economic, or technological realms, but rather in a profound spiritual void. As more individuals identify as "spiritual but not religious," the quest for meaning amid rampant materialism has intensified. In today's dialogue, we explore the rational embrace of the supernatural and seek to uncover how ancient wisdom can guide us through contemporary chaos. I am privileged to be joined by Joshua Spatha, an anthropologist, ordained minister, and author of the forthcoming book, Mere Spirituality: A Rational Embrace of the Supernatural in the Crisis of Our Age. Drawing on his extensive background in cultural research and Old Testament studies, Joshua offers a unique perspective on the spiritual hunger that defines our time, highlighting historical narratives and ancient practices that can illuminate our path forward.Takeaways: The current crisis we face may not be rooted in politics or economics, but rather in our spiritual disconnection and search for meaning. Embracing the supernatural in a rational manner involves recognizing ancient wisdom as a vital tool for navigating modern chaos and uncertainty. Joshua Spatha's insights reveal how cultural narratives and historical contexts have shaped our contemporary understanding of spirituality and religious practices. The distinction between spirituality and religion is crucial, highlighting that spirituality often allows for individual expression, while religion tends to be more structured and collective. Fasting, from a Jewish perspective, is not just about abstaining from food; it represents a profound spiritual discipline aimed at nourishing the soul by creating space for spiritual growth. The discussion encourages us to question our assumptions and be open to the exploration of ancient spiritual practices that can provide clarity and guidance in our lives. Jesus is our model for attitude, and behavior, and perspective, and concepts. You see, only Jesus, is the whole package. Only Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. If we want to have life, real life, where we don't just pick and choose aspects of Jesus to incorporate. We don't pick his death for our sins so that we can get to heaven when we die. We don't just pick his teachings as pithy words of comfort. We don't just have him as a friend to keep us company and to keep us from being lonely. We don't just have him as a champion for our causes, whatever our cause may be. If we want to have life we must learn the Jesus way of life. We must enroll in the school of Jesus. Where Jesus himself is the teacher. Jesus himself is the subject. And Jesus himself is the ultimate standard of truth, but it's all of him and we have to choose him. Pick a situation that you are in; maybe something that is troubling you, maybe a decision you're having to make, maybe a place you find yourself in and ask yourself the question, am I allowing Jesus to teach me how to handle this? Do I want Jesus to teach me how to handle this?

Dr. John Price is a depth psychotherapist and co-founder of The Center for Healing Arts & Sciences. This conversation explores why men have 50% fewer friends than twenty years ago, the crisis of modern masculinity, shadow work, and John's concept of "sacred refusal" —honoring the adaptations that once saved us but now destroy us. We discuss why suffering is initiation not pathology, the absence of rites of passage, and how the things we find most uncomfortable often reveal our deepest truths. John turns the therapeutic lens on me throughout—a benign adversary calling out my own resistance to vulnerability. This is medicine for anyone feeling trapped by their current circumstances. Enjoy! The Bible describes a hard-hearted person in Matthew 13:15, This is Jesus speaking, “For this people's heart has become calloused; they hardly hear with their ears, and they have closed their eyes." I have just an observation, you can decide it's not true, but to me it has been. The longer we are Christians, the more certain we become, the more we nurture anger and think it righteous, the higher our risk of becoming hard hearted. And throughout the Bible Gods people have often had the hardest hearts.

Entrepreneurship doesn't have to run on burnout. In this Healthy Waves episode, host Avik explores how founders can build sustainable success by integrating modern biohacking with timeless practices like meditation, breathwork, mindful movement, and energy awareness. Guest Alessandro Grampa—serial impact entrepreneur, Buddhist practitioner, and founder of Whole Green Wisdom—breaks down his framework for reprogramming the nervous system, rebuilding habits, and leading without sacrificing health. About the guest: Alessandro Grampa is a serial impact entrepreneur and the founder of Whole Green Wisdom, a community, podcast, newsletter, and founders-only retreats helping entrepreneurs align biology, mindset, and energy. A longtime meditator and biohacker, he draws on ancient wisdom and modern science to help leaders perform without burning out. Key takeaways: Founders need a team for the self—not just the business—covering training for mindset, body, and recovery. Burnout signals misaligned beliefs and habits; sustainable success comes from rewiring, not pushing harder. Treat meditation as “gym for the mind”: start with 5–10 minutes, build consistency, and progress like strength training. Three-bubble model: Mind (awareness + rehearsal), Body (sleep, nutrition timing, movement), Energy (restoring coherence so the system works as one). Habit science: consistent practice over ~21+ days helps shift automatic behaviors; track cause → effect between choices and energy. Breath awareness and structured breathwork can rapidly reset stress physiology; pair with movement (e.g., yoga) to reduce pain and improve focus. Many entrepreneurs identify as neurodiverse; acknowledging differences enables better toolkits and leadership. Balance isn't idealism: leaders can scale with fewer hours by designing systems, protecting recovery, and doing deep personal work. Replace “do more” with “align better”: when beliefs, biology, and energy match the mission, work compounds. Community matters: learning with peers (retreats, groups) accelerates behavior change and keeps it real.
