The Work, Actually podcast is back and we have a very special guest - Georgia Green of Georgia's Cakes, a thriving cake designing business. Dubbed 'the Mary Berry for the younger generation' Georgia's mission was to bring classical baking down to a level that everyone can utilise whilst keeping up with the latest cake and baking trends. Listen to hear how she went from Le Cordon Bleu training to starting her own business and becoming a creator as a consequence - we discuss the opportunities and challenges of that and, of course, her brand new debut cook book full of incredible designs and technical decorating. #81 Georgia Green has always been a daddy's girl. Her father was in the military and she thought of him as a hero that was invincible. He was murdered when she was 17 while protecting her. She will say that he gave her life...twice! After the shock wore off, Georgia was lost emotionally and spiritually. She wanted nothing to do with a God that would take her Dad away the way he was taken. Having never hiked more than about 5 miles, Georgia decided that she would see if she could find some clarity of purpose hiking the 2,000 plus Pacific Crest Trial that goes from Mexico, the United States and Canada! That is just a little hint of her force of will! Through that journey, Georgia found HOPE for the future, her purpose and continued to grow her burgeoning FAITH. Please join Shawn and Jen as they sit down with Georgia Green to talk about her life, her incredible sojourn along the PCT trail and her incredible FAITH in God's goodness and his plans for her life! Georgia Green is the Founder and CEO of BEU Revolution which she created with the hopes of sparking a revolution – a movement where people and companies are empowered to thrive. Georgia is the author of leadership curriculum, The Broken Business Model, and she is also a speaker, trusted organizational development advisor, and executive consultant. She is passionate about creating collaborative, strengths-based cultures, and mobilizing teams from inspiration to action. After solo hiking from Mexico to Canada on a quest to help people overcome fears, Georgia has inspired thousands of people to live their best lives. While walking over 2,000 miles and living in the wilderness for over five months, she wrote the curriculum used to found BEU with the vision to inspire, empower, and ignite others. BEU provides a number of proprietary tools to support organizational development and employee engagement, including MotivIQ, a software platform used to help uncover individual motivators for high achievement and support an organization’s ability to engage and retain top talent. In this episode… When it comes to leadership, some leaders avoid making major changes in their organizations. Oftentimes it’s because they allow their fears to hold them back from doing something that could potentially take their business to the next level. And one of these is being afraid of having their ideas or proposals rejected by their employees or fellow leaders in the organization. However, great leadership requires a person who is willing to go above and beyond, and act even when there is uncertainty. Being a leader requires courage and facing one's fears. And there is no way that you can't become an awesome leader if you are set on staying average and doing what everyone else is doing. On this episode of Lead Like A Woman Show, Andrea Heuston talks with Georgia Green, Founder and CEO of BEU Revolution, about what it takes to become a great and awesome leader. Georgia also talks about going on a 2,000 mile hike from Mexico to Canada alone, what inspired her to start the BEU Revolution, and she also shares her advice to fellow women leaders. Stay tuned.
Georgia Green, CEO of BEUrevolution, talks about some of her adventures and how she balanced between her travels and being the CEO of a company. She also talks about why she felt this was the best hobby for her and why the individual sets the tone in a company!

Today we chat with baking royalty... No not Mary Berry, it's Georgia Green from Georgia's Cakes. As a baker to the stars and someone that has her cakes displayed in ACTUAL Harrods, Georgia knows a thing or two about getting people to notice your work. She shared her infinite wisdom with us about getting started with your PR, what it's like to grow a large following online and how to manage it all along the way.
An hour with Georgia Green, CEO and Founder of BEU, LLC. After a great career in the accounting/finance arena, Georgia launched a consulting practice on her own in 2012 in leadership and development. She was working 70 hours a week for years before finding herself physically and spiritually sick. Worn down, she had nothing left for the things she was passionate about or the people she loved. She sat back and asked herself why. What was this all for? She was using her head, but not her heart, and felt fragmented. Georgia sold everything she owned and after 8 months of working and planning, hiked from Mexico to Canada over 5 months. She had never backpacked before but believed we have the ability to learn and bravery to explore our interests. Along the way, she discovered a deeper self. She faced things she had stuffed down inside and let the healing power of nature and exercise transform her into a better version of herself. Georgia wants that for you too. She wants you to feel what it’s like to discover your passions, and to be empowered to live them. She wants you to fly free, so you can be more you, even youier, and by that you can light the world on fire with your awesome self. This is Georgia's story and we can't wait for you to hear it!

Georgia Green is a regular participant in Amy and my cycling classes at Life Time Fitness. I'll never forget the first day she walked in > tall, strong, with a great big smile – she looks like a fitness instructor – and came right up to me, with her hand extended; “Hi, I'm Georgia!” What she didn't share with me, during our initial meeting, is that Georgia has committed to Continue Reading...
