We're diving deep into the final 5+ lessons from my "25 Lessons in 25 Years" series — and I promise you, this one's going to stir your soul. This episode is all about the next version of you, your habits, your mindset, and how to live your WHY with focus, fortitude, faith, and fire. After 25 years in the trenches — training, coaching, building businesses, leading people, and walking through both triumphs and trials — these final lessons are the culmination of everything I've learned about impact, growth, and living life on purpose. So grab your journal, take a deep breath, and let's get your mind right. Here is what we will go deep on today with my lessons: LESSON 21: Have You Even Met the Best Version of You Yet? Stop letting your past — good or bad — define your future. You are not your job title, your bank account, or your achievements. You are defined by how you live with purpose, love your people, and the impact you make in this world. LESSON 22: Your Habits Make or Break You Success isn't built on motivation — it's built on habits. Your habits will either set you up for greatness or sabotage your growth. From morning routines to movement, journaling to phone boundaries, all the way to evening routines--your systems shape your story. LESSON 23: Get Your Mind Right In the good times and the tough times, yep, you gotta GET or you gotta KEEP your mind right. Mindset determines everything. You can't have a 7-figure or an 8-figure impact with a 3-figure mindset. And remember: to truly get your mind right, you've got to tune into your whispers--not the world's noise. Your whispers are God's voice guiding you toward your divine calling. LESSON 24: Drink the Juice What's giving you juice right now? What fires you up? What's that one thing that gets you out of bed before sunrise ready to attack the day? If you've lost your juice — get around people who have it. Passion is contagious. Also, discover what's giving me the most "juice" these days. LESSON 25: Build Relationship Equity Relationships are your greatest asset. Period. The people you pour into today might be the very ones who show up to help you 15 or 20 years down the road. Build your network before you need it. Keep serving. Keep giving. Keep showing up for people. LESSON 26: Build Your Brand, Protect Your Reputation It can take 20 years to build a reputation… and one bad decision to destroy it. Guard your integrity. Lead with honor. Choose wisely. LESSON 27: Lead, Lead, Lead A leader of one, a leader of many — if you can't lead one, you can't lead any. Lead yourself first. Five leadership truths I've learned: 1. Hire slow, fire fast. 2. Listen with your ears AND your eyes. 3. Culture leads to cash. 4. Cash flow is the lifeblood — keep your eyes on it. 5. Set high expectations and live them out. LESSON 28: Show Up as Extraordinary. Period. Extraordinary doesn't just happen — it's a choice. LESSON 29: Who Do You Want to Be a Hero To? Who do you want to be a hero to — your kids? Your spouse? Your team? The people you serve? And instead of just asking yourself, "What are you willing to die for?" Ask, "What are you willing to LIVE for?" LESSON 30: Live Your WHY…Live Your Purpose. When and why did you start your mission? Are you still living from that place of divine purpose? Are you living your divine uniqueness on a regular basis and creating maximum IMPACT?! This lessons shares it all and ends with some fire!! That's a wrap. I hope this episode recalibrated your energy, reminded you of the deep-seated passion and purpose inside of you, and ignited a fire within you to go out and do good in the world. This also culminates my 25-lessons and sets up one of the MOST IMPORTANT podcast episodes out of 450 thus far. Be sure to tune-in NEXT week to hear some of the biggest news of my entire 25+ year fitness career. Do NOT miss it! Rafael is the founder of Share It Studio. He is A3X Telly Award winning entrepreneur in marketing and film. He has 13 plus years of marketing experience, five of which are specialized in Amazon marketing. Sherritt studio sets itself apart as a boutique agency with a high level, data driven approach and bespoke full package services. The studio boasts 500 plus successful Amazon listings, with an average sales increase of 77% within the first month of launching. So welcome to the show, Rafael.Rafael 00:00:38 Josh, thank you so much for having me. I really appreciate it. What you were saying about finding somebody to help you. it's the best way I found out. I did the exact same thing with my mentors. Is Josh Nelson right here? Okay, so what you're offering is actually very, very, very good. I highly recommend that anybody that's, you know, listen to this. I met Josh in person. Super cool guy. you should definitely at least talk to him.Rafael 00:01:02 maybe you're not ready, but maybe within a month, you know you'll hit the target and you'll be ready to to to, you know, reach out to Josh and he can help you scale your business. But if if somebody has a blueprint, why would you want to, like, go sideways if somebody knows what it's going to happen? He's going to tell you, like, hey, you might run into this and this is what you have to do instead of you bouncing your head against the wall, you know?Josh 00:01:27 So true. Rafael, I guess I need to pay you that $100 now. Slide that under the table there.Rafael 00:01:33 No, this is not paid advertising. In no way whatsoever. It's just that I really I was I was super I am so stubborn that I, when I had my company, I was working for Nickelodeon at the time, and, I was, coordinator for post-production for Latin America. And I'm like, you know, at that time, my ego was just stupid.Rafael 00:01:55 and I was like, no, I don't need anybody's help with this. I can do myself, blah, blah, blah, blah. I'm just gonna apply for all the awards. I'm just gonna get all the awards and, you know, blah, blah, blah blah. And at some point I was like, oh my God, I'm really struggling, I need help. And a friend told me, a friend who's very much more successful than me with an agency. He's like, hey, man, I reached my million dollar mark, but I can't. I can't grow anymore. I don't seem to be growing. And he does completely different marketing. He does marketing for cleaning companies. I met this dude, and I really think you should meet him, and, you know, yada yada, yada. And Josh is the the the one of the reason why I went into the Amazon space.Josh 00:02:36 Well, Rafael, you've got a lot of experience obviously, in marketing. I mean, the statistics that you shared that, you know, as you've worked with over 500 different Amazon listings, you've been able to increase sales by 77%.Josh 00:02:50 That's a large amount. What should an Amazon seller or just an e-commerce seller? They're on the on board with you in terms of like they know they need to build a brand, but where do they even begin right to in terms of building out their content? They believe that brands are important. So like where do you start with all of this?Rafael 00:03:09 yes. That's a great question. It's a great, great question. it depends on the at what stage of your Amazon journey you're at. but if, let's say you're a seven figure seller, so you definitely have some, some, some data. even if you're selling an e-commerce or Shopify, you have data there. social media, which are your top followers? The tricky thing is that the the people who buy off of Amazon are not the exact same people who buy somewhere else. So even though you kind of simulate, some of my clients actually have a complete buyer persona on Shopify, then they have on Amazon.Josh 00:03:46 Interesting.Rafael 00:03:47 Yeah, it's super interesting.Rafael 00:03:48 Interesting. So if you have a seven figure seller on Amazon, you definitely have brand registry, which gives you brand analytics. Now let's understand the actual consumer. Who's the consumer who's buying from you. is it is it a male or is it a female?Josh 00:04:02 The first step is for you to identify who this audience is, right? Like who is the buyer for this particular product, because then that's going to change the way that you're merchandising your product, right? The images that you're creating. And then you also kind of dove into, you know, utilizing those tools, that Amazon has now done, I think, over the last two years, like Amazon has been...

In this episode, I delve into a topic that's been personally frustrating me and affecting countless other LinkedIn users: the dramatic decline in organic reach and engagement on the platform. LinkedIn has been instrumental in building Health Launchpad's brand over the years, but like many others, I've noticed it's simply not working the way it used to.Richard Vander Blom's comprehensive LinkedIn Algorithm Report is an incredible resource that I reference in this episode. This reveals some stark statistics from February 2024 to February 2025:50% decline in reach (impressions) across the platform25% decline in engagement (likes, shares, comments)41% decline in follower growth rates95% of creators have experienced declining reachLinkedIn has fundamentally changed its algorithm to prioritize relevance over exposure. Where we once used LinkedIn for broad amplification, the platform now focuses on getting content in front of fewer but more relevant people. This LinkedIn decline, combined with decreasing SEO-driven traffic due to AI overviews, means two key pillars of inbound marketing are becoming less effective. Both Google and LinkedIn have changed in ways that make inbound marketing more challenging. This, in turn, increases the pressure to buy ads. This forces us as marketers to fundamentally rethink our inbound strategies. In this episode, I present my seven-point strategy for adapting to these changes. It's still possible to build meaningful connections and grow your business through LinkedIn. The key is to accept that the old playbook no longer works and to embrace these new realities.Key Topics“(00:00:00) Introduction”“(00:03:00) LinkedIn's importance to Health Launchpad and declining performance”“(00:05:00) Richard Vander Blom's LinkedIn Algorithm Report findings”“(00:08:00) LinkedIn's algorithm shift: relevance over exposure”“(00:17:00) Seven strategies introduction”“(00:19:00) Strategy 1: Niche focus and target audience sizing”“(00:21:00) Strategy 2: Engagement metrics over reach metrics”“(00:22:00) Strategy 3: Active engagement"“(00:24:00) Strategy 4: Mobile-first content creation and formats”“(00:27:00) Strategy 5: Building following through consistency”“(00:30:00) Strategy 6: Daily connection building (30-40 invites)”“(00:33:00) Strategy 7: LinkedIn newsletters as content format”“(00:35:00) Broader implications: SEO and LinkedIn both declining”“(00:37:00) Call to action for listener feedback and connection”Check out our full blog post for a deep dive into LinkedIn's algorithm changes. Here are the other posts I referenced:How to Master LinkedIn, Build Your Brand and WinCustomersMy Insane LinkedIn RoutineLatest LinkedIn Ads BestPractices for Healthtech MarketersInterested in exploring how to improve your LinkedIn strategy? In this episode of The Ross Simmonds Show, Ross breaks down the keys to building an influential brand through content creation, distribution, and experimentation. This conversation covers everything from overcoming imposter syndrome and mastering content distribution to riding the AI wave and scaling your creative vision. Whether you're a content creator, small business owner, or digital marketer, this conversation delivers no-fluff, highly actionable strategies to amplify your reach and scale with focus. Key Takeaways and Insights: 1. Content is King, but Distribution is the Empire- Creating great content is only the beginning; distribution is where the magic happens. - Most content fails not because it's bad, but because nobody sees it. - Creators must go beyond publishing: share content in forums, repurpose assets, email it, and push it across platforms. 2. Build Your Brand by Being Relentlessly Valuable - Early wins come from proving value to just one or two clients and letting word of mouth do the rest. - Niche down, provide specific, hyper-relevant advice, and soon you'll be the go-to expert for that audience. - “Give value to the internet and the internet will give it back” is Ross's philosophy in a nutshell. 3 Experimentation is a Growth Engine- Ross's mantra: Build, Ship, Learn, Decide. - Every breakthrough he's had, from fantasy football blogs to SaaS products, started with small experiments. - As your business grows, so should the size (and risk) of your experiments. 4. Imposter Syndrome Will Kill Your Momentum - You don't need to be the best to start; you just need to be better than your clients at the thing you're offering. - Most people fail because they talk themselves out of even trying. - Ross urges creators to let go of self-doubt and lean into bold action. 5. AI is a Game Changer, Use it or Fall Behind - Ross actively uses tools like ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, and Descript to speed up workflows, enhance creativity, and save time. - While AI brings ethical challenges (like deepfakes), its potential for creators is enormous, from scriptwriting to content remixing. - Strategic use of AI will become a competitive advantage in the coming years. Ever feel like you're pouring endless effort into your e-commerce store with minimal results? You might be focusing on the wrong things entirely.Scott Austin, owner of Jade Puma and host of the Shopify Solutions podcast, delivers a wake-up call for entrepreneurs stuck in the trap of website obsession. With decades of experience working with businesses from startups to industry giants, Scott cuts through the noise with a refreshingly honest take: "Your website is not your business. Your business is your customer acquisition strategy."The hard truth is that entrepreneurship isn't for everyone. While countless YouTube videos promise "start your Shopify store in 3 minutes," Scott reveals why success actually takes years of consistent effort and strategic pivoting. He shares why immigrant entrepreneurs often succeed, how the "four-hour work week" concept has been rendered obsolete, and why understanding your customers' decision-making process is the secret to conversion rate optimization.Scott explains why Shopify has widened its lead as the undisputed platform for brands under $10 million, offering practical advice for leveraging its capabilities. He outlines a three-pronged approach to customer acquisition that works for new stores: start with SEO from day one, implement Google Shopping ads, and develop a remarketing strategy to stay top-of-mind.Most importantly, Scott challenges store owners to stop treating their websites as product catalogs and instead transform them into decision-making engines that guide customers to the perfect purchase. This shift in mindset—from simply displaying products to solving customer problems—separates thriving e-commerce businesses from those that struggle to gain traction.Whether you're just starting your e-commerce journey or feeling stuck after years in business, Scott's practical insights will help you focus on what truly matters: doing the right work, not just working hard.
