Our conversation this week is with Jarred & Brandon Smith — co-founders of NOOMA.The NOOMA journey began for Jarred & Brandon as hockey-playing brothers who couldn't stand the sugar-packed, artificial sports drinks we've all been given our whole lives, all the way up to their time as professional athletes. The whole thing made no sense to them; they were competing at the highest level, yet given products based on big corporate partnerships, not what's actually good for you. So they forged their own path using only organic, plant-based, and real ingredients - and no added sugar - to make products that taste great and actually work. The other part of their mission is to go beyond making drinks and build a company that makes an impact on society.NOOMA is a Cleveland staple and increasingly a national one! Really enjoyed this conversation!————Learn more about Nooma: https://www.drinknooma.com/Follow Nooma: https://www.instagram.com/drinknooma/————Learn more about Jeffrey @ https://jeffreys.pageConnect with Jeffrey on Linkedin or on TwitterFollow Lay of The Land on Twitter

We have joining us, Jarred Smith, the co-founder of NOOMA; the awesome sports drinks which are organic with simple ingredients and that are loved and inspired! The post Be Mindful of what you drink! with Jarred Smith of NOOMA appeared first on Vicki Doe Fitness.
n this episode we speak with Jarred Smith, one of the founders of sports drink brand NOOMA. As AA hockey players, Jarred and Brandon received free sports drinks on the bus rides and during their games. Jarred, however, found that the beverages gave him acid reflux, and struggled to incorporate them into his fitness regime. When he discovered in 2012 that he wasn’t the only one who had this negative experience with sugary sports drinks, Jarred and Brandon knew this was a business opportunity waiting to unfold. Listen to learn about how they brought this idea to fruition, and how they continue to strive to raise the standards not just for the industry, but for themselves as a company.
Moments Of Now Creating Moments Of Next! These above words hit hard with me as this is something that I've recognized with myself a long time ago, as well as something that is more common than we realize. Too many of us are disconnected from today and worried about tomorrow, but when tomorrow arrives, we aren't present in the present. As our guest Jarred Smith shares his story, he shares an important message: “We can choose who to be!”. Simple, right? If so, then why is it we don't become who we want to be? Jarred teaches us that we can stray from the popular of your community to follow who you really are meant to be. Forgiveness and finding gratitude towards life or another person is something that can set one free when living in anger and resentment. A very important part of his life and who he is, is the commitment in his marriage in which his wife and he are living. Be sure to connect and follow Jarred on Facebook, as you'll see his actions are aligned with what it is he is sharing with the world. Jason and I were blessed to create this episode as he is beginning to share his story with the world, as we know will impact those who are caught in the struggles of breaking free from life's restraints. Hockey is an exceptionally tough sport. Of the big four, it is arguably the most dangerous sport to play due to it's very physical nature and the speed at which it is played. Making it to the pro-level is a great accomplishment in itself, but what if you're not the next Tyler Seguin or Vladimir Tarasenko? If you pay attention and prepare accordingly, the game of hockey is full of lessons, both inside and outside the rink; it is the perfect arena in which to hone and develop your skills for after and outside the game. Meet Brandon and Jarred Smith of Nooma, a lifestyle brand focusing on healthy living and an active lifestyle. In Episode 10 of Uncharted Performance, learn how these two gentlemen took advantage of their hockey careers and set out on a business evolution. From identifying a personal need and moonlighting as sideprenuers to moving out their Craigslist office into a brand new warehouse facility to house their expanding operations, let them take you on a "journey to the ultimate you".
