“IT'S AMAZING HOW FAR YOU CAN GO WHEN SOMEONE BELIEVES IN YOU”~~Jason MacKenzie Through what lens are you looking through? Some of us have had our perspectives altered throughout time, and through time the lens which we view our lives and purpose have become clouded. That which seems clear, becomes unclear. That which was once understood becomes questionable as our vision and sight towards the world strays away from that which we've imagined it to be. How do we handle life when the person we've married is not the person we've imagined them to be? How do we comprehend when the person we once loved with all our heart has chosen to leave this world at their choosing? How do we truly find ourselves when the ‘bottle' has an influence over our false perception of self control and we become one that disappoints rather than having been disappointed? There will be times when we feel small and fool ourselves to be some sort of hero. The truth is, there is always hope to create change in self to find that inner power….. And stand tall to the true warrior that exists inside!! Jason MacKenzie shares his powerful story and his inner battles as he's taken the dark times in his life to shed light upon others! In doing so, Jason is “serving powerfully” as he extends his heart and a hand to help other men battle in strengthening their own mental health. Fearing Obsession

“We should not fear an obsession for building a great and free life…..vision trumps reality; dreams have more weight than circumstances because circumstances are alterable with enough sweat and toil and dedication.”~~Brendon Burchard ‘The Motivation Manifesto' As I was looking for something to speak upon, I opened up to the first part of the quote above. As I skimmed through the remainder of the book to see what I highlighted that grabbed my attention as I read through this book, I found the second part of the above piece. So, what does all this mean? The first part has to do with wanting more out of life. There are many of us that want more out of life and are afraid to openly say so. It may be material, such as cars, a home, or something as simple as a nice pair of sunglasses. The other aspect may be the freedom to travel wherever and whenever we want to. The second part of this has to deal with realizing our current circumstances do not reflect our lives as a whole. If life is great at this moment, this will not always be the case if we choose to settle once we feel we've reached our destination. The other aspect is that if life causes us to feel as it is against who we are and what we want, this can be altered through intentional effort to work ourselves out of the hole we've fallen into. The fear of obsession for wanting more for ourselves may bring guilt to us as we realize that what we have in our current situation is not satisfying. This means acknowledging that some of our friends and family who are content and lack drive might be left behind in our journey towards our dreams. It might mean that we've failed many times over up till now, and this could continue if we make another attempt to step away towards who we want to be. Tip: Don't fear the obsession to work towards ‘YOUR' dreams!! Time To Listen In To Eddie's Solo Shot!!       (Photo credit: MidAtlantic Photography) If I Can…You Cantu! Some of us have simple goals! Some of us have huge goals! Truth is, what if your main goal is something that you never envisioned yourself putting on top of a list……at least until your life has drastically changed. Our inspiring guest has not always been so inspiring. Due to a life altering accident while this young lady was in her teens, Vanessa Cantu never envisioned losing what brought happiness to her world…..losing any or all athletic abilities she had possessed. Most important, Vanessa had lost physical capabilities and a massive part of who she had once seen in the mirror. From drugs, to the wrong crowds, to abuse from others and self inflicted, Vanessa's story has yet to have been fully written. The beauty of life is that once one takes hold of the pen, the ink which dries upon the blank pages have been written with purpose. To see one live life with intention is a sight which validates that “IF I CAN….YOU CANTU”. Having died twice to a month long induced coma, Vanessa's openness to try something new at least once has actually saved her life, and the life of her daughter's mother. As for that simple goal shared earlier which was never foreseen….is becoming more of a reality than a false hope! To Walk With Cane In One Hand….And To Hold A Daughter's Hand In The Other. Vanessa's story is a testament to second chances, the serving of others that have helped her, and most important is the self-worth she has tapped into which has helped not only her but has inspired others. This adaptive athlete has taken the stage to crossfit and found her calling! Be sure to connect with Vanessa on Instagram! And be sure to connect with Vanessa on Facebook!      Just Don't Stop. And maybe just be too damn ignorant to quit! In this latest solo shot of The Mindset Mountain Podcast, I go into a pretty tough topic for anyone who is pursuing a dream.  Something outside the norm. It has to do with the finding yourself pushed to your limits… at the very edge of a cliff of uncertainty and fear… wondering if you can keep standing. Especially when you're feeling as if you've done all that you can so far within your abilities and hard work.  What does it take to be teetering on the edge… and still step back and never stop PLAYING BIGGER. I dive deep into this concept as I was reminded of some feedback Eddie and I received from a former guest and friend Vince Reed.  You'll hear how he shared some intense feedback about the 99% of everyone else who do fall off that cliff of broken dreams. And believe me… we understand what that feels like… we're had our fair share of staring out into the abyss.  We know how you might be caught up in constant frustration and wondering why nothing seems to go your way. You might be at the very edge yourself in this very moment.  Wondering why in the hell should you even keep trying.  This episode is here to remind you to just don't stop. Just don't stop on everything you've already started and worked so hard for in the past.  Instead stand tall in the knowledge that you won't be one of the 99% that fall off. For if you simply keep pushing just a few inches more… the rest of your competition will vanish.  It will be you left behind, ready to play even bigger and reap the massive rewards! And you'll hear how you can challenge yourself to be too ignorant to quit and secure yourself in a position of still standing tall for your success. Destroying The Poverty Mindset! “Playing it safe is not commendable, avoiding risk is not to be rewarded, and living out of fear of what others will think–with their approval and disapproval–should not be what motivates us!”~~T.D. Jakes (He-Motions) The above quote from one of my favorite book, ‘He-Motions', is in reference to Mathew 25:14-29. Whether you follow the Bible or not, this should hold true no matter how you look at life. Are you hiding your talent in the ground for safe keeping? We are given gifts and blessings in many ways. Examples might be parenting a child, having a job, having a roof over our heads which we take for granted. How about having certain skillsets in life whether it be speaking, writing, communicating, or even running equipment. Having a ‘poverty mindset' forbids us to see and acknowledge any blessings we've been gifted. This mindset keeps us distant from having any gratitude towards the beauties of our lives. So how do we overcome such a mindset, that of no appreciation for life or a drive to improve and grow? It's time to listen in as Eddie shares his thoughts in destroying one's poverty mindset, which happens to be a continuous action throughout our lives. It's not about one solution….it's about filling up our toolbox to handle various circumstances in life that tend to sway us from a life filled with gratitude, appreciation, and a rich heart! In this latest solo shot episode, I dig into a variety of “signs” that showed up in my own life that all served a purpose.  A purpose to let go of certain deep seeded beliefs within me.  Beliefs that never made sense from the very beginning. You'll hear how it is vital for all of us to give proper respect to these “divine coincidences” when they arrive unexpectedly.  For it is so easy to pass them by and treat them as an afterthought.  To laugh it off and keep on believing that life is working for us. Plus I make sure and share with all of you certain examples of these signs and I simple way to sit for just 5 to 10 minutes in recognition of them.  And how you can leverage these micro-events to build massive momentum in your life. “Most our misfortunes spring from not knowing how to live quietly at home, in our own rooms”~~ Pascal This morning I was sifting through the book “Spellbinders Gift” by Og Mandino and found the highlighted quote. Not only did it trigger some meaning, it related to a question I was asked by a future guest for this podcast. “Are You A Christian?”, I was asked. “Yes” I responded. The reason I was asked this question was in relation to the impacts, effects, and acts of suicide. When one is away from everyone they know whether it be at work or with friends or family, one needs to have a belief in something greater. It is that belief or faith that gets us through the times when we are alone….In our homes….In our own rooms…..With our own thoughts! We find our words that run through our mind and heart to be our truth. If this is so, how do you speak to yourself? I am imperfect…..but in that, I am unique for there is nobody like me! I am flawed….but in that, I have the ability reshape myself as I wish! I have made many mistakes….which now can lead to a redemption which leads me well beyond current place for now I know what works and doesn't work! Yes, sometimes speak softly. Stats & Sculpture… are you using your stats as the hammer and chisel to carve your masterpiece?  Well let's find out in this latest solo shot episode of The Mindset Mountain Podcast. This thought of stats and sculpting popped into my head randomly last Friday morning while on my drive.  And it really forced me to take a deep dive into not only my past… but also how to better leverage criticism and feedback for the here and now. In this episode, I was reminded how often that most of us (especially me) channel any sort of feedback into an immediate feeling of personal attack.  Instead of allowing the criticism to be a tool for improvement… it begins a way to crush and crumble my confidence. You'll hear how I realized that for me, this knee jerk defensive reaction stems from years back during grade school, junior high and high school.  And you'll hear how for the past few years, I've finally been able to transform my confidence using the “hammer and chisel” of criticism. Once you or I are able to stop getting caught up in being “butt hurt” whenever we check our progress stats or receive criticism… we are on our way to personal mastery. So if you're looking to carve your own masterpiece of personal development in any area of your life… tune in and be reminded how to check your stats and Kick Ass! I sincerely hope that after this mindset shift, you'll head off into your new week with a strength you didn't know existed.  But with it's unveiling… now understand the immense power and beauty you can create on a daily basis. Two Sides Of The Same Coin! Whenever we look at our fears, many of us ask the question of  “What If?”. In this question, we tend to lean towards a certain aspect for the answer which is geared toward the negative aspect of the mystery. What If I Fail? What If I'm Judged? What If I'm Wrong? And the list goes on and on, right? Well, there is more to the coin than just the flipside which we fail to recognize. Yes, there is a flipside to the coin, but did you ever consider the substance in between the two faces? This may not be the tragic moments of our lives, nor may it be the shining moments of life, but it is where we live. In this episode Eddie shares a part of what he had recently written for his upcoming book which began with a list he had written down about the fears of completing his book based on the ‘effects of suicide'. But as I thought about it the other evening, it hit me out of the blue.  Why not analyze the weakness, embrace it and then work with it instead! Now as I move forward in 2 key areas of progress for me… exercise and nutrition… I'm leveraging new strength to sidestep my previous weakness in these areas.  And with this fresh shift in mindset, I feel empowered like never before.  And I feel a level of certainty that goals will be achieved that previously fell to the wayside again and again. “My job isn't to make others and myself comfortable. My job is to use language which reflects most accurately what we're experiencing.”~~Brene' Brown The above quote came to me at a perfect time as I've battled how to speak. In my book which is based upon the effects of suicide, overcoming a loss to suicide, or seeking closure after such an incident, I've battled how to share my thoughts and views. Do I speak and write how I know I'd like to be spoken to or have spoken to others who are battling whether or not to close the book on their lives? Or do I speak to sugar coat the true feelings and emotions one may be feeling, which in turn is not meeting them at their current emotion or the experience they are going through? This can be a double edge sword and if you really think about it…..IT IS! But if one attempts to please everyone, then no one is pleased. Be YOU!! Share a part of YOU!! Most important, Never Fear To Share Both Sides Of The Coin!! That being one who buckles down when needing to…..and one who lets loose when needing to!! Don't fear those who don't see as you see…..there are others who need to hear you, because the truth is those are individuals needing you. Stop F*cking Hiding!!!

So hey… I'm back with the very first solo shot episode since Eddie and I relaunched the podcast.  I recorded this episode this morning of August 16, 2017 while sitting in my car on the side of the road. But I didn't want to speak the words that were rattling around my head and heart. All I wanted to to do was rely on my J-Boom energy, speak out some inspired fire phrases or maybe quote one of my favorite personal development mentors. And the reason I wanted to do all of that… is so that I could hide my shame.  I wanted to keep cowering behind my mask of feeling like a fraud, scared out of my mind by invisible judgements and feeling deep inside like a worthless piece of shit. My inner shame of not following through 100% in my life in so many areas had left my soul rotting away, completely blind to any thoughts of change. I felt extremely hollow inside this morning. In those last few seconds before I hit record on my phone, I still wasn't certain what message would fall from my lips.  So I just started talking… and searching for what I needed to express. As you'll hear in this solo shot episode, I had to own my story.  All of it… both the aching darkness and the glorious light.  I had to come to terms with laying claim to my imperfect expression of my own truth… my journey. I had to STOP… FUCKING… HIDING! So I came out of my own shadows and said the words. And they were imperfect.  But dammit they were mine and they were true. Now I can finally climb again. I hope this message helps you do the same. Gratitude is the Attitude that Gives Our Dreams Altitude!!! I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Adam Kraai face to face at a kick ass marketing event last year called Meltdown in the Desert.  On the night of the meet and greet, I had the chance to chat it up with Adam about life, success and personal growth. I was immediately impressed.  And so was my business partner Eddie Aguilar after connecting with him through social media. Since that event we've watched as he continues to help provide inspiration, motivation, no-holds barred truth about how people can take back control of their personal economy. His mission is to create a life changing result for every one of his clients when it comes to their finances.  Whether that be the security of a life insurance policy that provides 10X the normal benefits of the old models or helping a single mother save thousands on her taxes. You will hear how Adam Kraai has had his fair share of tough roads himself… divorce, going bankrupt and feeling betrayed by the classic “go to college, get a career” system. But as you'll hear in this jam packed interview, Adam put his mindset into FULL EXPANSION MODE and now he creates endless possibilities for himself, his family (including their new born!) and every single person who comes through his door looking for help. Tune in and step up your financial IQ and start dictating what YOU DESERVE! Allowing Light Into Your Darkness! When we are fully engulfed in the darkness of the still shots which we call our life, we tend to miss some of the obvious. Our attention goes towards our focus, and natural selection of our focus goes towards the negative. You were let go from your job, but you hated your job anyways! You're relationship has come to an end, but you know damn well your relationship was toxic! What you see as a dark time may be the exact moment a spark had created a single flame to light your way towards the direction you were meant to heads towards. What you may see as a dark time is now an opportunity to release the toxicity and negative energy which never served you! The question is, “Are you going to feed that which doesn't serve you, or are you going to replace that space with something beautiful and empowering?”. As you will know if you've ever paid attention…..Once the lights are turned out in a room, you experience total darkness. It is when we calm down and allow our focus to change, you begin to see the little light that exists, but it is lack of patience that keeps us in a panic which never allows our eyes to gain focus and perspective. Moments Of Now Creating Moments Of Next! These above words hit hard with me as this is something that I've recognized with myself a long time ago, as well as something that is more common than we realize. Too many of us are disconnected from today and worried about tomorrow, but when tomorrow arrives, we aren't present in the present. As our guest Jarred Smith shares his story, he shares an important message: “We can choose who to be!”. Simple, right? If so, then why is it we don't become who we want to be? Jarred teaches us that we can stray from the popular of your community to follow who you really are meant to be. Forgiveness and finding gratitude towards life or another person is something that can set one free when living in anger and resentment. A very important part of his life and who he is, is the commitment in his marriage in which his wife and he are living. Be sure to connect and follow Jarred on Facebook, as you'll see his actions are aligned with what it is he is sharing with the world. Coincidence or divine timing?  Happy accident or fate? There are a variety of moments in our lives where it seems things match up so perfectly that it freaks us out as well as lighting our souls on fire. And it always seems our instinct is to lay it all at the hands of “oh it's just a coincidence” that happened.  We seemingly don't wish to entertain the thought that it happened for a reason or was lined up for our benefit. In this solo shot episode I share some examples from my own life as well as something that happened to a friend just this weekend to break down the power of “coincidence.” And to touch the perspective of why there's absolutely zero need for us all to try and explain it. Stay True To You! What do you see when you look in the mirror? What do you hear when you're in silence with only your thoughts? There are times when we know exactly what it is that we see, and when alone with our thoughts we know the exact words and thoughts which we share with ourselves. But yet……why is it we feel the need to change every single thing in our lives to follow the suggestions of others? But yet…..why is it we stray from what we know ourselves to be, due to the fear of criticism and judgments of others? There are certain aspects of life in which you definitely know, for sure, without a doubt, that which will bring you happiness and benefit you which in turn will benefit others. Yes, we should seek guidance and advice in areas of life in which we plateau out or have reached a certain level, but to seek advice in that which you already know the answers is denying yourself from truth. Truth is that you do have the knowledge and capabilities. Truth is that you are worthy of that which you envision when you are alone with yourself. Truth is, the world needs you to ‘Stay True To You' so you can give others permission to do the same! She's our mentor, friend, and sister and a huge reason Jason and I have never given up on this journey we've been on the past several years! Since her last interview, a great deal in her life has changed! Being open to happiness and to letting go of an attempt to have full control of life was a major and scary step in setting her free, but an important need for her to move forward to the next level. Learning to laugh and dance once again while showing her three beautiful daughters how to free themselves from their own constraints is awe inspiring. Most important, her little ladies are teaching their strong willed mom some lessons as well, a return on her investment she never thought to receive. As she sat on the bed and explained to her eleven year old how the stress of all these boxes of life were having an impact on her, it was this simple suggestion that a child brings about that many of us can learn from…. “How about just letting go of the boxes, and see what happens?” This is an episode I could try to hype up and build up…..but in all honesty, this episode is more personal for the both of us as someone important to us shares her truths in this recording! Recently I had to take a very long and hard look at myself in the mirror and call myself out on my own bullshit excuses when it comes to my physical fitness.  For my entire lifetime (45 years and counting) I have never once been in top physical condition.  N Never had even 2 pack abs lol.  Even during my peak years as a junior and senior in high school (with natural teen testosterone on my side) I was never in peak form.  I never chose to treat myself well in this particular area.  Never choosing to smash all the excuses and get it done. A blank page in a journal isn't a sign of empty space! A blank page represents numerous possibilities as to what could be created. Are you like Tom Brady?

Tom Brady.  Are you like him?  That's a question I wanted to pose on this day after Super Bowl 51.  For if you watched the game yesterday, you were witness to mindset mastery in action at the highest level. Full disclosure… I've never been a Tom Brady fan or a fan of the New England Patriots. In fact, I was rooting all the way for the Atlanta Falcons, especially since I have a bunch of friends from the Georgia area. I was thrilled and excited after the first half for all my buddies from the home state of the “Dirty Birds.” It seemed as if they truly were rising up. But then the second half began… and I started to see something all to familiar. The Tom Brady mindset on full display. No fear, no doubt, no reckless hoping and praying. Nope… just cool as a cucumber, slow and steady, piece by piece he began the breaking down of that gigantic lead. So tune in to this Monday solo shot after Super Bowl Sunday to learn how all of us may not be a fan of Tom Brady and the NE Patriots. But all I know is we all could certainly learn to be like him when it comes to the mastery of mindset in climbing and conquering the mountain that was Super Bowl 51. Are you like Tom Brady when the chips are down? Tune in and find out. Gratitude is the Attitude that Gives our dreams Altitude!!! Prioritizing Self–You're No Good To Others If You Haven't Been Good To Yourself! Is there any truth to this title above? Is this straight out selfishness? To be honest, it's all about the context in which you choose to read it, verbalize it, and most important, in how you live it!! In prioritizing self, you are filling your own personal tank. For without having anything in your tank, the value and services for others will become minimal and insignificant as time passes. In this episode I share how my children had to take a back seat to my own needs. You'll hear how the perspective of this podcast had taken fuel from my tank (caused by personal beliefs), as my view of what this show is about had to change in order for me to offer the world and myself more value. Most important, hear how viewing and placing one's self from teacher to student can change your whole perspective on how you receive, as well as how you give. And don't forget, as in the pic above…..sometimes silence in your mind and heart can become the most powerful noise in one's life as you set back and let the world just happen! But there are the truths that lie behind the doors of one's life which many forget to consider when judging from the outside. Jim Steg of Steg Custom Homes in AZ is an amazing story teller as he shares his experiences with our audience, before sharing his “Four Pillars”  which guide his daily actions. From being the adventurous soul through Ironmans, Triathlons, Bull Riding, to his internal/external journey of completing Sealfits Kokoro…..Jim shares a period of his life in which something inside was missing. It isn't until we can fill the voids or holes that lie within, that our external worlds begin to match our desired visions, as Jim had to do. Fear. Anger. Negative Ambition. Control. No Ownership…….these are just a few words Steg used to describe his dark period of his life. But there is always light ahead of us, if we choose to look forward! There is always something that is greater than us when we choose to allow ourselves to be vulnerable. As Jim had shared as one of his pillars……”We Can't Do It Alone”! In this latest solo shot episode, I dive into how I was reminded how many spitball ideas we come up with on a daily basis.  And how most of them we never allow to stick. You see I jumped on a Skype call with a great friend of mine the other evening so we each could do some brainstorming for one another when it came to various business ideas. And very quickly as those spitballs started to fly… I noticed that old ideas kept popping up and were receiving confirmation through our conversation. And that's when it hit me hard… why is it that most of never let those spitball ideas actually stick? So tune in as I go deeper into as to how you can tap into those old brainstorming ideas and I give you a challenge for the next 7 days when it comes to just one of those spitballs of possible success. I mean why not let one stick and see what happens? At least you won't be stuck like Bart Simpson writing on the chalkboard. Perspective How we see events have a great deal to do with our perspectives. How about the glass is half full/half empty scenario? Or there is the story of the father, the four sons, and a peach tree in which he sends each son to the tree individually, experiencing it's state based upon one season? A significant part of how it is we are seeing our lives is based upon many things in life, but let's just touch on a few things here. Your feelings and emotions may be highly influenced by a past event Your feelings and emotions can be highly influenced by your conditioning in growing up or what you've been trained for. Examples: Physical and mental abuse; The military; Personal Development Most important, our self talk and how we choose to see ourselves will highly impact what emotions we choose to feel at various stages in our lives. So ask of yourself today….. “How is it that I see myself?” “How am I reacting towards others and events?” “If somebody I respect and look up to were to go through the same thing, how would they go through that which I am going through in a manner which would be positive and get me through my pain quicker?” These are some little things to think upon to shift your thinking, beliefs, and attitude towards a life of abundance and gratitude! There is that youthfulness in you who dreams….. That youth who wants to scream when the emotions are present…. Who wants to laugh out loud when the feelings fill one up with joy…. Who wants to step off the ledge into the glassy waters and feel that refreshing sense of safety after free falling and feeling the exhilaration of trusting the fall, as well as the landing! Ronda Rousey and Your Next 48 Seconds

Ronda Rousey had her sights set on starting off 2017 with a crushing comeback win to regain her UFC title.  48 seconds later… those dreams were shattered by current champ Amanda Nunes lightning fast fists. So what will come next for Ronda Rousey?  Will she be able to focus her mindset in order to conquer feelings of depression, frustration, devastation and loss of identity? Or will those short 48 seconds cripple her forward progress in other areas of her life?  Will she allow less than one minute of time define her?  Or will she use those devastating 48 seconds to launch her into a whole new arena of domination? No matter whether we are a former UFC champ, working a 9 to 5 or pursuing an entrepreneur lifestyle… we each will have our own 48 seconds of temporary defeat. Notice I said temporary. As we head into 2017, a clean slate, we are each currently feeling unstoppable and undefeated.  But guess what, our 48 seconds will come. It's called Life. But will we suffer a knockout we shall never recover from or rise up off the canvas and conquer? Tune in as I go deeper into how even the most destructive losses can lead to a revolution within ourselves.  Will Ronda Rousey return as a champion within the UFC?  Who knows. My wish for her is far more important than any title belt.  My wish is that those 48 seconds  reveal something far deeper and life changing within. How to find peace of mind.  Boy oh boy… isn't that a heavy question right? And especially with a new year of 2017 fast approaching, we all are seeking more of that calm within ourselves.  To keep pushing towards our new goals (or old ones) and reach the peak of our progress. But… how can we allow ourselves to treat ourselves well all while putting in the grind, hustle and 24/7 and 365 no sleep until success lifestyle that everyone seems to be ranting about all the time? Well tune in as I share a recent chunk of my personal development journey in regards to how to find peace of mind.  I will be sharing how insights from three different mentors: Tim Ferriss, Ray Higdon and Jess Simonson created my perfect storm of peace. I highly encourage you listening in to realize that you can still win in life without needing to fight a war within.  Learning to be prepared but not seeking the fight is what is now having a profound change on my perception of progress with my daily process. Time To Listen! Now as we begin this New Year and we head into Christmas, many are speaking upon the close of one year and bringing on the new. Resolutions. New Beginnings. And the list of many goes on and on. But what if we didn't fully live by the calendar? What if we chose to listen to the less common voices whether external or internal of “you got this”…..”you deserve success”….”you deserve happiness”….”it won't be easy, but your goals and dreams are attainable”? How is it that the above lil statements are overridden by the common voices of doubt, fear, and frustrations? It is time to listen to those words which will serve you! It's time to understand why you are hearing the words you hear, whether positive or negative! And most important, it's time to take action today towards your goals, dreams, and desires, rather than waiting for the calendar to tell us we can start on a Monday, a new month, or a new year! How To Be Happy When Things Change

Don't Worry, Be Happy! Remember back in the day that super popular, light hearted song from Bobby McFerrin?Man… so what happened to us all since then? It seems all we do is stress, freak out and dive into anxiety whenever change arrives in our lives. So… how to be happy when things change. Now that is the question.  And I'm hoping to provide an answer to that tough question through a flashback story that hit me this morning. It has to do with being a kid again.  You will hear how when my Mom and Dad moved us from Minnesota to North Dakota, I took it on as a total adventure of awesomeness! (You'll even hear about my cool sleeping bag spot in my Dad's BEAST of a Ford truck.) I even was able to dig up a pic of me the day we were loading up the truck to leave. (It's the featured pic for this post.) If you've been struggling with that question of how to be happy when things change, then listen in about my 2nd grade self.  And how many times as an adult, I sure wish I was strong and ready for change as he was. And if all else fails, just be like this awesome squirrel! Gratitude is the Attitude that Gives Our Dreams Altitude!!! This Too Shall Pass…. Your struggles and stresses…..this too shall pass! Your wealth and successes….this too shall pass! No matter the emotion or scenarios currently being played out in life, remember that “this too shall pass”! These four words aren't meant to scare you or to give false hope! These four words are to remind each one of us that things will change. That nothing will stay consistent without directed attention and efforts. Our lives will only be cemented in history when we choose to give in. As these words were written in Og Mandino's “The Greatest Salesman In The World”, I was reminded that the constant in my life that is good or bad…..resides in the mirror! Time To Listen In!
