#100: Stride Soles: Dr. Zac Cartun, MDHad a great time chatting with Dr. Zac about the Stride Sole product. Stride soles is an orthotic insert that is fully custom made, using the 3D recognition technology that your smart phone already has built into it. One of my favorite benefits of stride includes the materials used and the design of the orthotics. They aim to be an "active" orthotic- which helps the foot muscles strengthen over time... with the goal of eventually "growing-out" of it, and no longer needing the orthotic. Very similar to the same principles that make barefoot shoes a great option for many people. This concept really fascinates me and I personally have tried and loved their product. Dave is a repeat guest! Way back to episode #5. He is a swim coach at Hockomock YMCA with the Hay Lightning (A team he also swam for when he was a youth). He swam competitively at Old Dominion University. He also coaches CrossFit and has a highly specialized knowledge in strength and conditioning. In this episode we talk about all things swimming, even down to specific drills.
