On today's episode we introduce 3 new Gauchos; 4th year transfer C/1b Brendan Durfee, Fr. OF/1b Rex Deangelis, and Fr. RHP Jackson Flora. The trio, who are coincidentally roommates, have been displaying their talent on the diamond this Fall and were excited to sit down and showcase their personalities for this episode. Durfee comes to UCSB after 3 years and 2 regional appearances for Cal Lutheran (DIII), is a strong left handed bat who should get some innings behind the plate and at 1b in 2024. Rex Deangelis, from Canby, OR, has been a top performer in his class this Fall both offensively and defensively and may crack the starting lineup in his first season as a Gaucho. Jackson Flora, Pleasanton, CA, joins an already talented pitching staff and will compete with the veterans for innings this year.

In this episode, J.Flo has some girlfriend gab time with Patty Barba as they talk about how quarantine isn’t all that bad, some of the good to come out of it, along with fashion, life, and their favorite binge watches. Guest, Patty, has gone from a teen and single mom, raising a special needs son, to a doting wife, entrepreneur, influencer, all-round amazing woman and is now trying to reinvent herself. The gals commiserate over trying to define and reinvent themselves, even thinking about starting their own Reinvention Crisis Center … but not really. Patty shares sound advice, not just for this chaotic time in life: If you don’t adapt, you sink; and fashion advice: If you can find it everywhere it is on its way out. Patty gives Jflo some makeup advice after she thought her makeup game was on point … until they got on video chat. The Lazy Ster topic selector game takes a fun twist when Patty turns the table on JFlo with the curiously intriguing question of, “Would you rather relive last year or a year of teenage years?” JFlo promptly wrote it down to add to her repertoire. Another special guest appears, not once but twice! Little Flo, JFLo's daughter comes in to ask permission to play outside and for JFlo to come watch her friends do a show. And finally, JFlo asked her famous last line, “Just so you know …” as Patty did not disappoint with her response. Follow Patty on Insta, TikTok and Facebook @stilettosandsincity and her website stilettosandsincity.com. In a lighthearted episode 11, two of JFlo's internet friends, Jennie & Ryan Custodio, were passing through Las Vegas from California on a family RV trip. So, of course, they had to record a podcast. Except ... it started after they were day drinking, so we apologize in advance for the excessive talking over each other and things making absolutely zero sense. Before Ryan joins in, the girls, also known as J2, discuss how wedding planning online brought them together over 10 years ago and when they met IRL, or real people as their daughter would say. They prank call Spousey and share why their husbands aren't their emergency contacts -- they can't be the only ones? The discussion of how they ended up in an RV with their three kids for five days reminds JFlo why she is one-and-done with having kids. Jennie shares all about her 2020 and why her theme is “Shift & Pivot.” Say it with us: PIVOTTTT. When they finally (& thankfully!) start to wrap up, you will learn who the who the candle hoarder is in their house -- it may surprise you — and finish with the Lazy Step Topic Selector. Enjoy! We can probably use a little laugh or two on the week of an election.Follow this gang on the socials @JennieCustodioPhotography and @DJ_CrowdControl and the podcast @JustSoYouKnowPodcastIf you have any questions or thoughts for the show, or think you'd make a great guest, let us know! Holly is a mother of five, lover of nature and music, and heals souls by providing a safe place for those willing to freely share their lives with her. In episode 8, host JFlo talks with her longtime friend Debra Power about some life-changing words she received at the young age of 35. She turned feeling powerless into being powerful and kicked cancer's a$$. Using her voice, Debra is trying to reach others and make them feel less alone while The episode concludes with a wonderful message about life. The conversation isn't all serious -- they do talk about being a$$hole parents and the parenting faux pas of your child going missing. Oops.
In this episode, top transformational mindset and success coach, podcast host, and bestselling author Leisse Wilcox joins JFlo for a little one-on-one coaching session about fear, emotional health, and the courage to show up and live. TLDR: Ignoring your fear will f*ck you. They discuss the pivotal moment in JFlo’s life that shaped the narrative of her life. They touch on the feelings of jealousy, fear, and a fortune cookie that told us that we are competent. The gals plan to go on a taco tour and, of course, John Mayer visits again (in conversation only, unfortunately …).
In this episode, host JFlo introduces her podcast along with her co-host for the day, Spousey. Keltie Knight, of The Lady Gang, joins in via phone and JFlo becomes her first .... what you ask? Takai likes it (he tastes an Arnold Palmer for the first time and approves)! JFlo’s attempts at sound effects are ill timed. The gang discovers breaking news: (Some) guys from Seattle like blondes. The conversation turns to feet (again!) and can your career make you desire less sex? Finally, the gang gets way too deep on the topic of body waxing. Way. Too. Deep.
In episode 5, Dragon and Takai come back for more! Is the pandemic robbing milestone moments from many? Does size really matter? Dragon claims no, but he still uses an iPhone 5 and his description of it takes a foul turn. Takai takes the conversation on its own turn and gets back on the topic of feet. Dragon is decieved! JFlo lets him in on a little secret that she has been keeping from him for years.
In episode 4, Nikki Bowers, of Undeniably Nikki, joins JFlo discussing systemic racism. Tune in to this very special episode to learn more and how you can do your part to to support the black community and fight racism.
In episode 3, host JFlo chats with Nikki Bowers of Undeniably Nikki about toilet paper, turning 40, “The Apps” (dating apps), the many uses of Vaseline, who their hall passes could be or would be and JFlo learns how to swipe. Of course, they can’t escape talking about what kind of lover John Mayer would be. And finally, a mom, grandma and great-grandma in her 40s?? … JFlo knows one and she calls in to share her strange, but funny, family fact.
In episode 2, host JFlo is joined by recurring guest hosts Dragon and Takai as they tackle the topics of life as an essential worker during a pandemic, which then turns into a reflection on the great toilet paper shortage of 2020. Who knew one could be so passionate about toilet paper preferences? How many squares do you use? And yes, we go there: are you a folder or a crumpler? With no topic off limits, they talk about how JFlo's dad doesn’t wear pants, discuss Disney + movies and disclaimers, pandemic hygeine and wrap up with fetish talk. Enjoy.
