A busy week in the WWE and we've got a lot to talk about on this week's show. In Segment 1 we dive into the Superstar Shakeup. What matters most? Was all of it kind of much ado about nothing? Also-is Samoa Joe really still going to face Roman Reigns at Backlash? Don't we now know what's going to happen in the main event of two consecutive Pay-Per-Views? Oh-and AJ didn't get to bitch about something last week so he got to it this week and lead to a rather awkward argument because...wrestling? In Segment 2 (36:30), the boys discuss the death and legacy of pro wrestling icon Bruno Sammartino. Can we truly define what he meant to the growth of pro wrestling's popularity? And it lead us to another question-who's the pro wrestler that you wish the timeline of your own fandom would have lined up with more? In Segment 3 (1:04:09), the guys are joined by long-term pro wrestling broadcaster Tony Schiavone to share his memories of Bruno Sammartino, to talk about the upcoming TV debut of MLW and to discuss the state of the industry in general. After that, the guys talked about the John Cena/Nikki Bella breakup (do we believe any of this?), Apollo Crews getting a name back and Daniel Cormier wanting to get involved with WWE.

Welcome back to the Mat Madness Wrestling Podcast! Ron Pasceri and Aaron Lloyd are joined by good friend of the show Josh "Prep" Iguina to share their experience in Orlando at their first-ever WrestleMania. They give a brief tribute to The Undertaker for his legendary career and his dedication to the business and his character. The guys discussed their thoughts on the production of WrestleMania and each of the matches. They especially appreciated AJ Stlyes vs Shane McMahon, the return of th Hardy Boyz and the crowd response to Miz & Maryse vs John Cena & Nikki Bella. Ron raised some concern that WWE may have taken a step backward with the women on Raw but all three were hopeful that they found a better way to present Roman Reigns. Before closing there was some discussion about NT TakeOver: Brooklyn and as always there were a few listener questions to be answered.
Wrestlemania 33 is in the history books, and Wade Keller joins to break down pro-wrestlings biggest night. They cover Neville vs Austin Aries and whether it was smart to put the cruiserweight title as the opening match in the pre-show; the Andre Memorial Battle Royal and the early exits of both Big Show and Braun Strowman; the barn burner that was AJ Styles vs Shane McMahon; Jericho vs Kevin Owens and the subtleties that made it a favorite; and the Bayley vs Charlotte vs Sasha Banks vs Nia Jax, and who really came away the winner from that four-way. They also go in-depth on The Hardy Boyz triumphant return, Triple H doing the favors for Seth Rollins, and John Cena & Nikki Bella vs Miz & Maryse.

We're real fans, and we definitely fan out a few times on this show, and had a good time doing it! We also make our predictions for WrestleMania, going match by match to breakdown the winners and losers, expected finishes, surprises and more. We go in-depth on the character development of Roman Reigns and whether he will be the one to end Undertaker's career once and for all. We take a look the John Cena-Nikki Bella and Miz and Maryse feud and whether it was the best thing on WWE in 2017, or if it went too far. We look at what's gone right and gone wrong with the Women's divisions, whether Broken Matt Hardy will make his surprise WWE return at WrestleMania, whether Shane McMahon is the right opponent for AJ Styles, and we talk about how disrespectful the Andre The Giant Battle Royal has become.
