It's time again for some sword and sorcery fantasy adventures, Roger Corman style! It's Dave's pick and Chris' most hated genre of movies, but I think there are some aspects of this that may strike a chord. Directed by Jim Wynorski, screenplay by Neil Ruttenberg (bit of a Frank Dux level stretch that one), and starring John Terlesky, Monique Gabrielle, John LaZar, and Toni Naples. A group of teenagers must fight for their lives in a mall guarded by malfunctioning killbots! For this 100th episode of Bad Movie Date Night, Nigel and Kaitlyn decided they needed a chance to redeem their favorite of all the "bad" movies, Chopping Mall, the classic film about malfunctioning robots blowing up heads and chasing down teens in a mall after it closes. This episode is chock full of soapboxes as Nigel discusses how far the podcast has come, the fine line between horror and horror-comedy, the lack of respect the horror genre receives, and why so many other shows look down on films. You won't want to miss this! Happy Monday Goons! The last Monday of our (Fe)bruary Killer Robot month finishes out with a Patreon request: Chopping Mall (1986)! The film was directed by Jim Wynorski and was produced by Roger Corman's wife, Julie Corman. The stars of the show are some of your 80's favorites: we have Night of the Comet's Kelli Maroney, Re-Animator's Barbara Crampton and a cameos from Mary Woronov and everybody's favorite extra, Dick Miller, in addition to Karrie Emerson, Russell Todd, Suzee Slater and John Terlesky. This is definitely a snapshot of America in the 1980's, especially within the shopping mall setting that is all but obsolete these days. Jake also crashes the party as he asks us what is our favorite non-anthropomorphic robot. So join us for a fun, albeit, inappropriate episode and let us know what you think! In which the four wise men from the mountain come down to discuss the film, _The Chopping Mall_ for the beleaguered people. Released in 1986, directed by Jim Wynorski, and the film stars Kelli Maroney, Tony O'Dell, John Terlesky, and Russell Todd, and many others. It was filmed in the United States, distributed by Concorde Pictures.
Stop what you are doing right now and watch this movie! It is available on Amazon Prime and on Tubi TV app. This film is one of those cheesy 80s horror films that is so bad its good. I have seen this film at least 5 times, totally worth the watch, more than likely better drunk, but enjoyable either way. Chopping Mall is about a group of young shopping mall employees stay behind for a late night party in one of the stores. When the mall goes on lock-down before they can get out, the robot security system malfunctions, and goes on a killing spree. It's from 1986 and is an American science-fiction comedy horror film co-written and directed by Jim Wynorski, produced by Julie Corman, and starring Kelli Maroney, Tony O'Dell, John Terlesky, and Russell Todd. While it was not a commercial or critical success, the film has gained a cult following since its release. Chopping Mall Bloody Orange Julius – A Throwback to the 80’s! (thehomicidalhomemaker.com): 8 fl oz freshly-squeezed blood orange juice 1 T vanilla-flavored coffee syrup 1 T dry vanilla instant pudding mix 1-2 C crushed ice Measure out 8 fl oz of freshly-squeezed blood orange juice, 1 T of vanilla-flavored coffee syrup, 1 T dry vanilla instant pudding mix, and 1-2 C of crushed ice. Place all ingredients in blender, and blend until frothy. You may need to add more or less ice, depending on how icy you like it (1-2 C seemed to be the best amount). Serve immediately. If you can't find blood oranges in your area – don't worry! This recipe is just as delicious with regular freshly-squeezed orange juice. If you'd still like that blood-red color, add a little red food coloring, pomegranate juice, or grenadine. Chopping Mall Drinking Game (thechuggernauts.com): One Drink When: Someone dies You hear the catchphrase of the movie “have a nice day” (Yes that’s seriously the catch phrase) Characters decide to split up A character has a profoundly bad idea (this is pretty constant) A robot has a new inexplicable power Finish Your Drink When: A robot dies --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/linedrunk/support

We hope to see you there to meet you and have some fun talking about podcasting. AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. “THE INSIDE MAN” [07:40] Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. is back and Agents Haley, Lauren and Stargate Pioneer have fun with this week’s episode “The Inside Man.” While Talbot, his mustache and bad haircut are back Haley and Lauren express that Talbot is essentially SP. Lauren wants a true Talbot-Coulson road trip and the Agents talk about how Clara is going to have major issues with S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future after George’s kidnapping. The series seems to be heading for its own Civil War (Watchdogs) as it echoes the story lines seen in the current Marvel Cinematic Universe and the current batch of Marvel Comics. While we do find out that Death is an inhuman the ladies are treated to another ruined male shirtless scene. Since Death is very old what exactly are his ties to the Royal Family? SP points out that the 3 amigos of Coulson Hunter and Fitz are not getting along like they used to and he wonders (mischievously) what the hand scanner can actually be used for. The ladies wonder about the science of Creel: just how does the Absorbing Man work? And they wonder where else he might pop up in the Marvel Universe on screen. The episode gives the viewer amazing realistic fun action. SP notices Coulson is wearing ties again and the ladies wonder why Lincoln has to wear a shirt while sparing with Daisy? "The Inside Man” Directed By: John Terlesky http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0855613/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 Written By: Craig Titley http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0864471/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 Episode Transcripts: http://transcripts.foreverdreaming.org/viewforum.php?f=140 JESSICA JONES “A.K.A. YOU’RE A WINNER!” [37:38] Hope is always the saddest thing ever and this episode with the abortion is no exception. Plus Jeri swoops in to be a jerk and use the fetus in some manipulative way. Luke finds out the full extent of Jessica’s history with Reva and has to figure out how to deal with it in the future. Kilgrave buys a house….legitamately? Not really. But the poker game is fun to watch until one of the players tries to smash his forehead open. Molcolm struggle with the detailed of his Kilgrave abuse and his drug addiction. The production value for the series is very stylized in ways you don’t even realize it is that good. And Jessica goes from avoidance to taking care at the end of the episode. "A.K.A. You’re A Winner!” Directed By: Stephen Surjik http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0839660/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 Written By: Edward Ricourt http://www.imdb.com/name/nm3242689/?ref_=fn_al_nm_1 NEWS [54:35] HIGHLIGHT STORY OF THE WEEK Sally Field did not like Amazing Spider-Man http://www.themarysue.com/sally-field-amazing-spider-man/ AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. If you asked many a #Castle fan what they wished [the most] for Season 8 during this holiday season, your safe bet would be for them to see Caskett back together again as a couple [united their own unique way] and working together again as a team. Last night’s episode, “The Last Seduction” made quite a huge leap in that fan-wish direction – especially in the last scene – which the episode can be viewed over on www.abc.go.com/castle in it’s entirety. “The Last Seduction” was written by Robert Hanning and directed by John Terlesky. #PCA2016 voting is still going!
