"Sister Cities" premiered in NYC and LA theatres and now is a part of the Lifetime Television Movie Network [A&E Network]. This film was directed by Sean Hanish and it was based upon the internationally-acclaimed 2006 play of the same name by Colette Freedman, who also wrote the movie script. The film stars Stana Katic, Troian Bellisario, Michelle Trachtenberg, Jess Weixler, Jacki Weaver, Alfred Molina, Amy Smart and Tom Everett Scott. This ‘Cannonball Productions’ movie is about 4 sisters who come together to mourn what they believe is the suicide of their mother - but there’s more to the story. Tonight, after a bit of news, we'll spend the entire STR Round Table talking about this unique dramatic film. "Excellent Elena" will be our facilitator and we hope you'll be able to join in on the discussion. You can join the conversation via skype or our call in number (347) 857-4368. We are half way through the summer and thought tonight would be a great time to have a quick STR get-together to catch up and talk about what’s new with Stana and each of you. We hope everyone has read or is still reading this summer’s STR Book Club selection, “The Girl on the Train” and will be able to participate in our discussion next month on September 6th. Looks like we also have some more reading with Stana’s recommendations of “Freedom” by Jaycee Dugard and “The Power of the Herd” by Linda Kohanov. So, if you’ve finished “The Girl…” you already have two great recommendations to check out yet this summer. If you were able to attend the “Sister Cities” World Premiere at Traverse City Film Festival – we’d love for you to call or skype in and tell us your thoughts. We ALL can’t wait to see this film along “Lost is Florence” and “The Rendezvous” this fall.
Happy June everyone! We hope each of you are having an awesome summer. Tonight, after the latest news updates, we'll all chat about Stana's upcoming films we ALL can't wait to see. In addition, we'll be taking suggestions for our summer #STRBookClub selection. So, please bring one of YOUR recommendations. After last night’s 2015-16 Fall Finale of #Castle, all anyone needs to say to a Caskett fan is “oh, you guys” and we’re right back in Caskett’s loft agreeing with “Lucy”. "Mr. and Mrs. Castle" was written by Christine Roum and directed by Jeff Bleckner. After the latest news and a few reminders regarding SFF2016, we’ll revisit the discussion we had back on November 10th STR. How has your opinion changed, if any, regarding Season 8. Tonight, we’ll go where the discussion takes us and hopefully you’ll be able to weigh in while PCA voting, repeatedly for: Stana http://vote.peopleschoice.com/#!/home/all/80/2 … Castle http://vote.peopleschoice.com/#!/home/all/35/2 … Nathan http://vote.peopleschoice.com/#!/home/all/79/2 … *reminder, PCA Voting ends on December 3, 2015 at 11:59PM ET Photo credit/copyright: Disney | ABC | ABC Studios Promo credit/copyright: Disney | ABC | ABC Studios
If you asked many a #Castle fan what they wished [the most] for Season 8 during this holiday season, your safe bet would be for them to see Caskett back together again as a couple [united their own unique way] and working together again as a team. Last night’s episode, “The Last Seduction” made quite a huge leap in that fan-wish direction – especially in the last scene – which the episode can be viewed over on www.abc.go.com/castle in it’s entirety. “The Last Seduction” was written by Robert Hanning and directed by John Terlesky. #PCA2016 voting is still going! Who would have thought we'd be seeing "I Love Lucy" on our timelines for our favorite TV show #Castle? No, it's not a Beckett Replacement. But definitely is giving the "Clark Kent"-ish looking Rick some "food for thought" on his own musings. Hopefully, you watched last night's episode of Castle Season 8, "PhDead" 803 - Written by Chad Gomez Creasey and Directed by Executive Producer Rob Bowman and YOU can join us in tonight's STR Round Table. Season 8 has been some-what of a polarizing Castle Season to many fans and some are still wrapping our minds around the Character-Shake-Ups we’ve “experienced” with them and yet, VERY curious as to where the new Show Runners, Winter/Haley, are taking us all in this new direction for our favorites.
