POPULARITY
Welcome to the second episode of our "Shishim Ribo" series--taking the deep lyrics and music of Ishay Ribo and unpacking it for the English-speaking audience In this episode, Tuvia and Moshe tackle one of Ishay's most difficult, most beautiful and most popular songs, "Achat Uletamid" in their trademark mix of musicality, chavrusashaft interplay, off-the-wall fun and all seriousness. You sponsor, and we can produce more of these episodes! Juuuuust $180 gets you a sponsorship on an entire episode and helps us spread understanding of Ishay's Torah and music to a new audience. With Capt. Kevin doing some OSR (a.k.a. deer hunting), Capt. Scott took the wheel for this episode to talk about the weather and everything going on post-Nicole. It was quite the tough assignment for him, however, because there wasn't a whole heck of a lot to talk about. Cold front coming through makes for sporty conditions...and not much fun when you're trying to hook up.The question, as always, is this: will we get a break? Will we have a chance to land some First Coast fish? Listen in to find out...
It's getting down to the wire, and we're FINALLY starting to understand! The science behind the Rivervale alternate universe is explained! It makes perfect sense why we spent all that time watching Archie unionize the laborers! We even get to see what's going on at good ol' Riverdale High School, and IT ALL COMES TOGETHER! Juuuuust kidding. We get absolutely none of that. We DO get to finally dispose of Percival, just in time to be introduced to our latest villain...Bailey's Comet. You know those heart-warming stories of marathon runners carrying a fellow runner to the finish line when they are too weak to go on? That's us and that's you. Let us carry you to the finish line of Season 6 of Riverdale because if you've made it this far, you MUST be exhausted. Don't forget to rate and subscribe! Have you looked outside? The world is fucking falling apart. If Jen's bright and cheery personality doesn't light you up, then perhaps you'll catch on fire while listening to her first ever guest describe her as "an ASSHOLE." Seana Mailman is a long lost cousin from a state in the middle of the country that doesn't exist, & she's here to share some laughs. blah blah blah - Thank god she's high. Juuuuust kidding. We love her. Seana is a rad woman living it up in Oregon as a restaurant and food truck promoter, and she also a badass owner of a small business. (Her details plugged below!) She is a passionate humanitarian, and works with homeless outreach in her area. This episode doesn't really have any reason to exist other than the fact that we know it does. You'd think it would precede and apology, but the jokes on you, because the world is on fire, and Jen doesn't make those. The Efficient Advisor: Tactical Business Advice for Financial Planners
We've all been to that party or a wedding and someone asks you a question that you have prepared for… What do you do? Even though you've thought through this, you've crafted a little description, you look at them and simply answer something LAME like “I am a financial advisor.” And, if you're like me, you leave thinking “What the heck!?!?! I had totally prepared for that and I choked! I am so much more than a financial planner I didn't articulate what I do who I do it and for…” You totally start to beat yourself up. Been there, done that. Then, I figured out this simple formula! In this short episode I'll share:· A SUPER simple formula that you can use to articulate your value succinctly and quickly without feeling tongue-tied!· How to keep from monologuing about yourself and your business so you don't sound like you're ‘here to network.'· The trick I used to nailing this language for this little pitch (hint.. 10x). To elevate your elevator pitch you need to be able to tell people what it is that you do, who it is that you do it for, and why it would make a difference in their lives. Not too short. Not too long. Juuuuust right. You can do this Goldilocks!Don't forget your worksheet for this episode here!Successful businesses don't get built alone. You need community! You need collaboration! Nat, Krissy, and Jenn take you on a "tour" of stories, strains, laughs, and maybe, JUUUUUST maybe a little bit of information! Listen to what each strain we each prefer and why, and then, tell us yours!
Juuuuust a bit outside.
Kia ora e te whānau! To build Ben's resilience with scary movies, we got you guys to share with us your ghost stories, or the creepy stories that will freak Ben out. Juuuuust to prepare him a bit more for when he watches 5 scary movies in attempt to win someone $10,000. We had a creeeepy story from Lizzie! Jono also told a story of something that happened to him when he was out on an early morning run this morning. His main concern of the story was NOT Ben & producer Juliet's main concern though. What he revealed was VERY SURPRISING! Finally, in our segment Liar Liar we spoke to a man who lives like he's in the 90s!
Jobu need a refill of hot, buttery, cinematic nostalgia! It’s April 7, 1989 and Jason, Dan, and Fred are stepping up to the plate, taking sail, and losing their minds (for different reasons) over MAJOR LEAGUE, DEAD CALM, and THE DREAM TEAM. Juuuuust a bit outside; yes, it’s Episode 45 of Opening Weekend!
Welcome to Shift Ciders episode 1! Juuuuust kidding (kind of). This episode we had our good friend Mitch over from Fretboard Brewing Company in Cincinnati. He grew up in New York and he loves his ciders! This has been a show in the making for quite some time and we were glad we got our schedules to align. Mitch bought some goodies from 1911 Cider and we all brought goodies from mostly around the Midwest area as a whole. It ended up being a pretty awesome spread of ciders! It was a refreshing change of pace seeing as hard seltzers have been destroying the cider selection across the board. As always we end with some fun bonus beers after we recorded the longest episode of Shift Beers to date….and we even cut out half an hour of it or more! You’ll have to catch the after hours stuff on our only fans. (inside joke). All funniness aside some of the things we cut out will eventually make it onto a Patreon page so stay tuned for that! Sit back, crack open a cider and hang out with us!
Show topics: -Juuuuust how lousy is it to re-gift something if the gift is awesome and not a fruitcake or some other such garbage -Eva mocks the disgust I feel when women date young, dumb, handsome men, but my complete comfort with men dating young, dumb, attractive women. I AM NOT A HYPOCRITE, PEOPLE! TELL HER THESE ARE DIFFERENT THINGS AND IT IS GROSS AND WRONG WHEN WOMEN DO IT!!!! -My mom completely derails the episode ending to show us photos of a fried chicken sandwich that resembled a heart. Since the MLB World Series is upon us, we thought we would talk about one of our favorite baseball films of all time, Major League. This film gave us Wild Thing Ricky Vaughn, Willie Mays Hays and Bob Uecker's hilarious one liners. We had to get someone who appreciated these things as much as us and thankfully Seggie Isho from Straight No Chaser is also a big fan. We always have a great time talking with Seggie and he has some really fun takes on this one. This episode ends with a game we call The Starting 5 and our Patrons get to hear us draft our Top 5 Favorite Baseball Films.Enjoy watching the Rays take on the Dodgers in the World Series and enjoy this episode on Major League!3:10 Stranger Than Fiction4:45 The Outsiders7:30 NBA Finals9:10 The Boys Season 210:44 Buegs' Favorite Meal11:18 Hen House Eatery https://www.henhouseeatery.com/12:42 Plugarooni's 13:10 patreon.com/theavidindoorsmen15:04 @SNCSeggie16:07 www.sncmusic.com; new Christmas album: Social Christmasing16:58 Major League Plot Synopsis17:34 Rotten Tomatoes18:00 Elizabeth Moppen from the Orlando Sentinel19:37 Kevin Thomas from the LA Times20:51 Buegs' Hot Take22:35 Rob's Hot Take25:20 Seggie's Hot Take29:52 The Dude33:07 The Tucci Award40:37 The Dingus50:30 Show Me The Money57:57 Buegs Boo Hoo Moments 59:50 Movie Trivia1:07:48 Judgement Day1:10:02 Starting 5 Game1:27:15 www.hardtruthdistilling.com1:33:48 Top 5 Favorite Baseball Films Draft

My ceremonial first pitch didn't miss by THAT much.... We're talking all about social issues that have come to the forefront recently, and what the overarching problem is. It's a deep-dive into some serious stuff, so buckle up. This is the first part of a two-part discussion. Make sure to subscribe, rate and review the show on Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Juuuuust the two of us; Domo Alexander & Devin Universe put the guest list to the side for this episode. However, we did have a liquid guest on the show. To celebrate the announcement of our RoundTrip tour we have a few drinks during the show, which made it interesting to say the least. On the Culture Catch-Up: The R-kelly interview came out and it Twitter no time to turn it into a comedy. We take a look on the sudden lack of confidence in Robert approach to the allegations . On the latest episode of The Shop the question do you owe your family anything after you get on ; which is a slippery slop but nevertheless we tackle the topic and give our views. We take a look at Jordyn Woods situation, who's really to blame. We give our views on that and try not to let the liquor to the talking. We wrap things up breaking down the future allegedly turning away bbw's and breaking down 2 chainz & Da Baby albums.

"Juuuuust a bit outside." That's right, ladies and gentlemen -- we're switching things up a bit this week on Rash Pixel's "Movies We Like" -- instead of "Bull Durham" as promised, we're pulling a switcheroo and flipflopping that with 1989's baseball comedy classic, "Major League." Sure, it's a bit dated, but man, it's still a fun and funny film. Join us -- Pete Wright and Andy Nelson -- this week as we talk about this comedy gem from David S. Ward, Academy Award-winning writer/director. We jaw about the importance of casting actors who know how to play the game -- and how it's not just something they can "act" their way through. We chat about the backgrounds of Ward and his all-star (at the time) cast as well as discuss Ward's lifetime love of the Cleveland Indians and why he chose to write and direct this movie. We talk about the Indians and their long and sordid history (and yes, Andy even works his great-great uncle back into the conversation). And we discuss why this film still works so well, but also why some of it doesn't work, namely the music that dates it. It's a blast to reconnect with old memories and talk about this movie again. Listen in, baseball and baseball movie lovers!
