In this episode, Dudley and Jared Musgrove explore what it means to return to a more biblical vision of the church. Through honest conversation and practical insights, they challenge modern ideas of church success, leadership, and discipleship, pointing instead to the simple yet powerful model of Apostolic Christianity found in the New Testament.Together, they discuss the role of house churches, the priesthood of all believers, and how Spiritual Gifts are best discovered through active participation in Kingdom Community. They also examine how Church Leadership can move beyond hierarchy and programs to empower every believer for ministry and discipleship.Through compelling stories and biblical reflection, this conversation highlights the importance of Authentic Faith expressed through real relationships, Spirit-led discipleship, and Faith in Action. Rather than relying on institutional structures alone, believers are encouraged to see needs, meet needs, and participate in the work God is already doing in their communities. We pray this message will encourage, challenge, and transform. As always, we invite you to share it with someone who needs it. This is the third sermon in a seven part sermon series on Kingdom Community.
A healthy church doesn't happen by accident. God calls His people to live differently: honoring faithful leaders, caring for the struggling, pursuing peace, and holding fast to joy through prayer and gratitude. When the Spirit leads and Scripture shapes our lives, the church becomes what God designed: a community marked by patience, goodness, and grace. This is the second sermon in a seven part series on Kingdom Community.
Grief is real, but so is resurrection. We do not mourn as those without hope, because our risen King is coming again. The trumpet will sound, the dead in Christ will rise, and no believer will be left behind. Until that Day, we live as children of the light: awake, alert, and assured. We put on faith, love, and the hope of salvation, encouraging one another and building each other up. The King is coming. So, grieve with hope, live prepared, and strengthen one another until we see Him face to face. This is the first sermon in a seven part series on Kingdom Community.
Holiness isn't isolation. It's transformation in community. In 1 Thessalonians 4, we're reminded that God's will isn't vague or mysterious: it is our sanctification. Kingdom people are called to abstain from sexual sin, abound in brotherly love, and aspire to quiet, faithful lives that honor Christ. Our bodies belong to God. Our brothers and sisters belong to God. And our best life is found within the King's boundaries. Community is worth fighting for. Distance, distraction, and the enemy work overtime to keep us isolated, but Jesus calls us into face-to-face faith, resilient relationships, and shared hope. From prayer to perseverance, Kingdom Community is built when we show up, stand firm, and walk together. Discover how God uses people to strengthen faith and bring lasting joy. God's Word doesn't just inform us — it transforms us. A Kingdom community joyfully receives the Word, faithfully repeats it, and increasingly reflects it in everyday life. Even in hardship, the gospel takes root, bears fruit, and sounds forth to the world. Jesus calls us to more than hearing; He invites us into living obedience, holy perseverance, and a life worthy of His Kingdom and glory. Come rediscover the joy, power, and stability of building your life on the Word. In 1 Thessalonians, we see a church chosen by the Father, called by the Spirit, and covered by the Son. Their faith worked, their love labored, and their hope endured even amid afflictions. This message explores the marks of a Kingdom community: a people changed by the gospel, joyful under pressure, and impactful far beyond their city. May we become the kind of church that doesn't just gather, but radiates a community shaped by faith, love, and hope as we live for the coming King.Invest in the mission and vision of Westside: https://westsidebaptist.org/giveFOLLOW Westside Baptist Church: ► Instagram | https://www.instagram.com/westsidegainesville ► Facebook | https://www.facebook.com/westsidegainesville ► Website | https://www.westsidebaptist.org

Who makes up the kingdom community of Christ? People. More specifically, it's people who have come to Christ in faith, committed themselves to following him fully, and received the kingdom's benefits through faith.
We're celebrating 10 years of God's faithfulness and revisiting why we exist: to help people know God John 17:3. Not just to know about Him, but to truly know Him. Our hearts are resetting around our mission—Practicing the Way of Jesus—and the four Pursuits that shape us as a church: Presence of God, Transformational Discipleship, Kingdom Community, and Sacrificial Mission.Today's message calls us to move from information to true relationship with the Father who loved the Son before creation John 17:24. We'll explore practical pathways to host His presence, be formed into Christlikeness, belong as family, and live a daily life of surrender and mission—because this next decade is all about keeping Jesus at the center. So grab your Bible, your BTJ, or something to write on—and let's step in together.

This Sunday, we continued our Joy Revival series with a message from Mark 1:16–20 about the joy of belonging to a kingdom community. When Jesus called His first disciples, He wasn't just gathering individuals, but was forming a family on mission. In a world that pulls us toward isolation, we discovered how joy grows in the soil of spiritual family.Sent ChurchWeAreSent.church

Ministers Rest | Aug 4, 2025 You are not called to build your own ministry empire, but to become a living stone in the habitation that God is constructing. Every spiritual activity you engage in must contribute to this one house, built on the foundation of apostles and prophets with Christ as the cornerstone. When you operate outside this framework, you practice lawlessness, regardless of how successful your individual efforts appear. ## Moving Beyond Individual Ministry Models The era of the "great man of God" has ended. You cannot accomplish God's purposes through isolated, one-man operations. Instead, you must learn to function within a collective framework where different ministries contribute their unique frequencies to build something greater than any individual effort. Your anointing is unique to you, but it must be fitly joined with others to create the dwelling place God seeks. ## Recognizing True Ecclesia The New Testament assembly is not a business or organization—it is a family and community. You cannot practice authentic Christianity in isolation. The "one-anothering" principle requires you to be interconnected with other believers, exhorting, strengthening, and building up one another. If you find yourself operating alone, disconnected from meaningful spiritual community, you have departed from the biblical model. ## Transforming Your Identity You are not merely a church member but a kingdom citizen and a son of God. This transformation requires you to move beyond religious activities to becoming the Word itself. As you meditate on God's Word, it functions like genetic code, breaking into your spiritual DNA and causing you to become like Him. This is not about doing more religious things but about fundamental transformation of your being. ## Learning to Hear God in Community While God continues to speak to individuals, His voice must be validated and understood within the context of spiritual community. What you perceive as personal revelation may actually be God dealing with your character development rather than giving you a ministry assignment. True hearing comes through the counsel of mature believers who can help you distinguish between God's voice and your own desires or unprocessed emotions. ## Bringing Christ Back to the Center Your assemblies and ministry activities must be designed to give Christ His rightful place at the center. When He is present, human programs and self-promotion become secondary. You must learn to recognize when you have pushed Him to the periphery and actively work to restore His centrality in everything you do. ## Building for Transformation Your goal is not to accumulate followers or build impressive organizations, but to raise up kingdom citizens who can transform society. This requires redesigning how you disciple new believers, moving from creating church members to developing sons of God who understand their governmental role in the earth. ## Understanding Spiritual Architecture Every building activity in the spirit, from Abel's offering to present-day ministry, must fit into God's master plan. There is coherency to what God is building, and you must discern how your contribution aligns with this greater design. This prevents the spiritual chaos that comes from everyone doing their own thing without regard for the overall structure. ## Embracing Plurality and Order True spiritual leadership requires you to function within plurality rather than autocracy. You must learn to hear what the Spirit is saying through the collective wisdom of mature believers, not just through your individual revelations. This requires humility and the ability to submit your ideas to the scrutiny and refinement of spiritual community. The time has come to abandon scattered, individualistic approaches to ministry and embrace the biblical model of community-based kingdom building. Your calling is not to be the star but to be a faithful stone in the house God is constructing for His own dwelling.
