Finally, there's a smile on Ruben Amorim's face. He thought, as indeed we all did, that Man Utd had chucked away a perfectly good win with an entirely preventable mistake. They dominated the first half in Hoffenheim, fell away completely in the second and scrambled out with a crucial 3-2 win. Seb Stafford Bloor was watching. Fifteen years ago, Bournemouth were in the fourth division, or League Two in the parlance of the youth. Now they're sixth in the Premier League and we're almost at the halfway stage. Out there somewhere is a kid who started supporting them in 2009 and that kid must think that life is always like this. I don't know whether to envy him or pity him. You can pity Lazio. They got done 6-0 at home by Internazionale. And you can pity Trabzonspor, who conceded a 98th minute winner to Galatasaray. Actually, Jose Mourinho will probably be more bothered by that one. We've also got the latest on Wolves and Southampton as they seek to find new managers. Erm…sorry about the whole Dr Tottingham stuff from Friday. I won't do that again. But who saw that coming, eh? City are spiralling and Liverpool are stretching clear at the top. James Pearce saw them win again. New Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim made a fantastic start, it's just a shame for him that his players peaked after 81 seconds. Laurie Whitwell was there for us.  In Europe, Barcelona dropped points and Real Madrid closed the gap. Seb Stafford Bloor watched Bayer Leverkusen hit five past Heidenheim, but unfortunately for them, Harry Kane had already put three past Augsburg. We've got all the big scores from all the big leagues. Give us fifteen minutes of your time and we'll tell you everything you need to know. About the big leagues, that is. We're not so good with ‘general life advice'. But hey, drop me an email (imacintosh@theathletic.com) or find me on Blue Sky and I'll do my best.  Presenter: Iain Macintosh With: James Pearce, Laurie Whitwell, Seb-Stafford Bloor Producer: Si Watts Learn more about your ad choices. It's two steps forward and three steps back for Manchester United at the moment. The confidence boosting victory over Brentford seems a long time ago already after this disappointing draw away at former manager Jose Mourinho's Fenerbahce. Laurie Whitwell was there.  No such issues for Tottenham, they've won three from three after a good win over AZ Alkmaar in London. Teenage sensation Mikey Moore impressed again, Jay Harris is here to tell us how good he is.  And Chelsea are dominating a competition in which it doesn't seem entirely fair that they get to play. They battered Panathinaikos 4-1 in front of Liam Twomey. Well, in front of lots of people really, but Liam was one of them. Plus, Roberto Mancini has left Saudi Arabia. Manchester United resisted the temptation to immediately dismiss Erik Ten Hag after Sunday's humiliation, but he's heading into an extremely tough week and you wonder how much longer he can survive. Laurie Whitwell is our man on the ground at Old Trafford, he joins us with an update.   It was a tough night for Southampton boss Russell Martin. His team were taken apart in a brutal first half away at Bournemouth and you wonder how much patience there is at the club for his methods. This is a brittle football team, they collapsed when the first goal went in and could have conceded more. Alas, we no longer live in an age where ‘winning the second half' counts for anything.  And there's a lot of Champions League football coming up. Can you remember what happened a fortnight ago and what it all means? Nope, us neither. But we've made you a comprehensive briefing.  Need something to read? Everyone (including us) has been focusing on Man Utd being really bad, so why not spend some time reading about Tottenham being really good with Ahmed Walid's tactical breakdown?
