Leicester City's first team is not built for a long future together like the squads of many of their Premier League rivals, latest research suggests. Including loanees, 14 members of Ruud van Nistelrooy's squad see their contracts at the King Power Stadium expire within the next 18 months. Broken down further, the CIES Football Observatory have noted that only 55 per cent of City minutes this season have been played by those on contracts beyond the summer of 2026.So with relegation back to the championship all but confirmed, which may well come with a transfer embargo. we look at those players whose contracts expire in the summer, the ones we might sell, and which youth players returning from loans we want to see break through into the first team. #LCFC #LCWFC #premierleague #Leicester #Leicestercity #leicestercityfc #epl #foxes Hosted on Acast. He's done it again, Bruno Fernandes may not be an alpha captain but as a player he leads by example and steps up whenever he is needed; especially when that stepping up is to a penalty kick. Bruno holds quite a few Europa League records now, but in truth this was a team performance, one that will reassure Ruben Amorim that he can place his trust in some key players. Ruud van Nistelrooy's Leicester City are up next, and it's difficult to take pleasure in saying they should not provide much of an obstacle to United's momentum. Learn more about your ad choices. Jack Elderton and Cal Goodall break down West Ham's 2-0 win over Leicester City, the first time the Hammers have won back to back Premier League games in a year. A Tomas Soucek goal and Jannik Vestergaard own goal separated Graham Potter's side from Ruud van Nistelrooy's. Jack and Cal discuss the balance found in West Ham's new Midfield 3 and the qualities James Ward-Prowse has brought to the side, Aaron Cresswell's re-emergence as an option at Centre-Back, the key difference between Potter and previous Head Coach Julen Lopetegui, as well as appraising the squad now the new Head Coach has been in charge for 2 months, asking whether several key players should be kept, loaned out or sold during the Summer as West Ham look towards another squad rebuild. These include stars Lucas Paquetá and Mohammed Kudus, players currently on loan at the London Stadium Carlos Soler and Evan Ferguson and Nayef Aguerd, who returns to the club in the summer after a successful spell on loan at Real Sociedad.
