A gente tinha dúvidas, somos seres humanos normais. Confiança Vinícius Jr., autor do terceiro gol e eleito novamente melhor jogador em campo, resumiu a importância do bom resultado contra o Haiti. O time jogou muito melhor e estou confiante no próximo jogo.

Vítor's Reds went to Old Trafford, and while the home team had more chances, Forest were ultimately robbed by a pivotal decision by Michael Salisbury, who was the only man in football who thought that Matheus Cunha's goal should stand, after Bryan Mbeumo's obvious handball. Even VAR recommended that the goal should be chalked off after a 3-4 min review, but after staring at it for another 90 seconds, the ref stuck to his guns. Fortunately Forest are already safe this season. A dominant first half and an early Maxence Lacroix header weren't enough to secure a result at the Theatre of Dreams, as 10-man Palace ultimately fell to a 2-1 defeat. The game swung on a controversial 56th-minute decision that saw Lacroix sent off for a foul on Matheus Cunha-a call Oliver Glasner labeled "very harsh," suggesting it may have been an "Old Trafford bonus." Despite a heroic display from Dean Henderson against his former club, Bruno Fernandes' penalty and a late Benjamin Šeško header ensured the Eagles left empty-handed.Support this show http://supporter.acast.com/holmesdaleradio. Manchester United fer býsna vel af stað undir stjórn Michael Carrick. Eftir sigur á Manchester City í síðustu umferð, þá fóru þeir á Emirates í gær og tóku sigur. Suj and James review all the football from Gameweek 18 that included a hat-trick for Kevin Schade against Bournemouth side who look wide open away from home, but it was a largely forgettable week for many FPL managers and now there are injury concerns for many defensive assets. Bournemouth now travel to Chelsea and that could make a move to Cole Palmer appealing but there's caution offered on Chelsea assets following their defeat to Aston Villa who themselves kept themselves in contention at the top ahead of tomorrow's big game at The Emirates. Arsenal won again, but there's now doubts around Jurrien Timber and Ricardo Calafiori, but Gabriel is back and many FPL managers will be seeking a quick resolution to restore The Gunners defender to their teams. Manchester City won too but the majority of well owned assets blanked. Their Manchester rivals United have some appealing assets ahead of playing bottom side Wolves, with defensive assets and Matheus Cunha like to be popular short term picks. They beat Newcastle who may also appeal but aren't in good form. West Ham lost again. But Tottenham won . Suj isn't blind to The Hammers increasingly precarious plight, but neither is James to Tottenham's win at Palace. And Dominic Calvert-Lewin can't stop scoring! On Ask James, Bruno Fernandes replacement options covered, there's a demand for Matheus Cunha and Hugo Ekitike, but that also means there's a demand for some cheaper options... as the options aren't neccessarily inspiring. Plus, going triple ups in defence, taking risk, thoughts on Morgan Rogers, short and long-term plays and lots more... Suj and James review another dramatic weekend of football in the Premier League that included a brilliant encounter at St James's Park as Chelsea earned a hard earned point from two down, Liverpool just about getting over the line against 9 man Tottenham, Arsenal staying top for Christmas after victory at Everton, Leeds scoring four against Crystal Palace and Aston Villa maintained their outstanding winning run against Manchester United. A Manchester United for whom Bruno Fernandes was replaced at half time with a hamstring problem, and for owners that's a headache they weren't preparing for. Many owners and non owners will now likely chase the in-demand Hugo Ekitike who scored again, and now looks secure for minutes following a serious looking injury to Alexander Isak. He may even be worth trusting with the armband this week But there's plenty of other assets in demand too, with discussion featuring the likes of Matheus Cunha, Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen. And there's others who are not, such as Igor Thiago who hasn't registered a shot in Brentford's last two outings against Leeds and hapless Wolves. Plus, coverage of defensive options, enablers, and Suj has been on tilt in FPL, Tottenham just have James fully tilted. On Clash of the Correspondents James is joined by Manchester United fan Alex Trembath and Bournemouth fan Neil Grover to discuss the latest at their clubs ahead of the Gameweek 16 Monday Night Football at Old Trafford. There's discussion on form, with United comfortable winners at Wolves on Monday but they haven't won their last two at Old Trafford and opponents Bournemouth have won 3-0 on their last two visits. But they themselves have only won two out of eleven. FPL Talismen Bruno Fernandes and Antoine Semenyo are discussed, the impact of AFCON - particularly on United, differentials such as Marcus Tavernier and Matheus Cunha, whether Patrick Dorgu and Diogo Dalot are worth consideration and whether owers of Marcos Senesi should continue to keep faith despite The Cherries conceding the second highest total of away goals this season. With that in mind, Bruno for the armband...? #944 | Ed and Dan break down United's 4-1 win at Molineux – a result shaped as much by Wolves' collapse as United's competence. They look at the tactical choices that set the tone, the patterns that still need work, and the individuals who shifted the game. There's detailed discussion of Bruno Fernandes' influence, Matheus Cunha's threat, and the ongoing debate about structures, roles, and whether this squad is being built on solid foundations or short-term patchwork. The conversation also moves into wider themes: confidence, fragility, the value of giving academy players clear pathways, and what this performance means for United's European ambitions. The show closes with thoughts on squad planning and the next steps for Kobbie Mainoo as he navigates an already heavy spotlight. 00:00 Introduction00:30 Wolves 1–4 Manchester United02:48 Goals, breakdowns, and defensive errors08:32 Second-half control and structural tweaks14:19 Formations, selection choices, and the 'platforming' debate21:32 Confidence, mentality, and how the team responds to setbacks30:03 Youth development and academy integration37:26 European competition prospects44:39 Kobbie Mainoo If you are interested in supporting the show and accessing a weekly exclusive bonus episode, check out our Patreon page or subscribe on Apple Podcasts. Rog and Rory are back to breakdown another drama-soaked Premier League weekend, including why Eberechi Eze's game winner against his former club Crystal Palace is indicative of how Arsenal have changed the game, how Liverpool's incredible league losing streak comes down to Mo Salah and Arne Slot, and why Manchester United have Matheus Cunha to thank for their recent run of form. Plus, could we see Bournemouth or Sunderland in Europe by season's end? And the reason why Rory thinks the Premier League has become the NFL...but with shorts.Check out our full interview with Crystal Palace's Adam Wharton here: http://youtube.com/watch?v=m-hdlUAu4UIFootball is better with friends. #930 | Cunha Believe It: United Hit Four Past Brighton Ed and Dan team break down United's 4–2 win over Brighton - one of the most complete attacking performances of the season. They celebrate standout showings from Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Šeško, whose link-up play and pressing intensity set the tone for the victory. The discussion dives into Amorim's tactical tweaks, the balance between direct transitions and controlled possession, and how United's new-look front line is starting to click. There's also a look at Anthony Taylor's latest refereeing circus, and what this win means for United's confidence heading into a packed winter schedule. Somewhere in there, the lads detour briefly to Ibiza nightlife and dodgy club remixes - but quickly return to the football, we promise.
