Mír rialta, agus é ag tabhairt comhairle don phobal faoi chúrsaí sláinte.
Spurs lost 2-1 at Chelsea — but the numbers say we were the better side. 2.15 xG to Chelsea's 1.09, and 67% of the game's big chances. And now the whole season comes down to one game against Everton. Jim is joined on The Originals by Stu in Dubai and Si in Switzerland to pick through a frustrating night at Stamford Bridge and answer a stack of Oso 33 member questions. We get into why the data and the eye test tell completely different stories, the Enzo Fernández screamer and the Kinsky question, the front-three problem and an honest defence of Richarlison, the VAR decisions still baffling us — the Delap elbow, the Cucurella booking that makes no sense — and what fans can realistically do about officiating. Plus the most honest question of the season from Oso 33 member Howard: have Spurs ever stressed you this much, and how are you coping? A point against Everton on Sunday and we're safe. The Originals is the panel show from Oh So Spurs — higher-quality, more nuanced fan content from people who've actually been through this season. Smarter than the angry-pundit register, but still fans, with the cautious belief that comes with it. If you got something out of the episode, please follow the show, drop us a rating, and share it with a Spurs fan who needs to get through to Sunday. And to the OhSo33 crew, keep it lily-white. Chelsea beat Spurs. Again. Six in a row, three doubles in three seasons, 11 wins in the last 13. Enzo Fernandez produces an absolute worldy and reminds everyone exactly why you don't sell him, Hato announces himself as a future monster, and Delap is - again - an absolute car crash up front. Europe is still up for grabs... do we want it? In 1971, 19-year-old Myrtle Anne Etheridge vanished from her Plano apartment complex while doing laundry; barefoot, in the cold, and gone within minutes. Days later, her body was found in a remote drainage area, bound and stabbed, left in a place meant to hide her. Her killer has never been identified.Four years later and a thousand miles away, her cousin, Paula Diane Etheridge, disappeared under eerily similar circumstances. Also last seen doing laundry, Paula was abducted in broad daylight in Okeechobee, Florida. Witnesses later described seeing a violent struggle inside a moving car.Unlike Anne's, Paula's case didn't stay unsolved.Investigators quickly focused on David Ross Delap, a local man with a violent past who moved in the same circles as Paula. After hours of questioning and mounting evidence, Delap led authorities to Paula's body. He was convicted of her murder and sentenced to death not once, but twice. Two women from the same family and the same generation. Both taken while doing something routine. One case solved and one case forgotten by the public. If you have any information about the murder of Myrtle Anne Etheridge, please contact the Plano Police Department Crimes Against Persons Unit at (972) 941-2148.You can support gone cold and listen to the show ad-free at https://patreon.com/gonecoldpodcastFind us at https://www.gonecold.comFor Gone Cold merch, visit https://gonecold.dashery.comFollow gone cold on Facebook, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and X. John Obi Mikel and Chris McHardy walk back arguably the best weekend of the Premier League season so far as Arsenal hand the title initiative to City, Chelsea draw a blank (again) and Tottenham's relegation troubles deepen. Mikel wants Arsenal to ditch the gimmicks and go back to basics, he identifies the REAL reason Man City are back in the title race and he sets the record straight on Liam Delap who he's been accused of giving an easy ride this season. The guys also pick through the bones of another defeat for Tottenham that leaves them winless in 2026 and staring down the barrel of life in the Championship next season. Another home defeat. Another disjointed display. Another Chelsea performance that felt all too familiar. Chris and Joe react to a flat, frustrating loss to Newcastle, breaking down the soft goal, the lack of ideas against a low block, and the growing fear that Chelsea are not really moving forward at all. They also zoom out to the wider issues: poor squad building, a lack of experience, defensive chaos, and the uncomfortable reality that after all the spending, Chelsea still look stuck. Also in the episode: PSG hangover, Delap's struggles, the top-four race, and why the bigger concern now is not just results - but direction. Job done on paper, but this one felt like 90 minutes of pushing treacle uphill. In this episode we get into the same old story: low block, zero urgency, robot football, and fullbacks being treated like they're allergic to the byline. Joe's not having it with the lack of identity, the dull build-up, and the fact we needed a set piece just to breathe. Chris looks at why it might be 'pragmatic for now', and why the winger profiles don't help when there's no overlap and no chaos. We also talk Delap's rough start, whether our set pieces are actually good or just 'eventually one lands', and what the Champions League table now looks like with Napoli away looming. Then it's a trip to Selhurst Park and we bring in a couple of Palace fans to tell us why their season's gone sideways and what Sunday could turn into. Wasn't pretty, wasn't thrilling, but it's exactly the kind of win you want straight after an international break. We chat through the 2–0 at Burnley: slow start, odd-looking XI, then two real moments of quality to get it done. Santos running the game, Pedro Neto everywhere, Delap doing all the hard bits and none of the easy ones, and Tosin still giving everyone mild palpitations. There's talk on three clean sheets in a row, Chelsea maybe – maybe – learning how to manage games, and Maresca's 50th match in charge with the away end properly behind him. And then a look ahead to Barcelona under the lights and Arsenal at the Bridge, with Chelsea quietly putting a little run together while nobody's really talking about us. Today Jana Byars talks to Lucy Delap, Reader in Modern British and Gender History at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University, about her new book Feminisms: A Global History (University of Chicago Press, 2020). This outstanding work, available later this year, takes a thematic approach to the topic of global feminist history to provide a unified vision that maintains appropriate nuance. Delap is a gender historian, writ large. Her first book, The Feminist Avant Garde (Cambridge 2007), examined the development of feminism in the Anglo-American context, tracing the ideas as developed in trans-Atlantic discourse. She then directed her gaze back to her homeland in subsequent publications, including Knowing their Place: Domestic Service in Twentieth Century Britain (Oxford 2011) and the 2013 Palgrave release, Men, Masculinities and Religious Change in Britain since 1890, Delap explore another expression of gender altogether. The breadth of her scholarship – women and men, intellectual elites and domestic servants, adults and children – prepared her to write this broad but fairly concise work of history.
