There was no need for Camara to leave his 18-yard line and concede the Hearts of Oak goal. "That mistake is unpardonable." - Countryman Songo reviews the Super Clash

Summary of the Case and Victims:The discovery of Shannan Gilbert: The case came to light in May 2010 when 24-year-old Shannan Gilbert, an escort, disappeared in the Oak Beach area of Long Island. Her disappearance sparked an extensive search, and during that process, police discovered the remains of other bodies in the vicinity. The initial findings: In December 2010, the remains of four women were found along the remote stretch of Ocean Parkway near Gilgo Beach. All of them were wrapped in burlap sacks. These victims were later identified as:a. Maureen Brainard-Barnes (25): She had gone missing in July 2007. b. Melissa Barthelemy (24): She disappeared in July 2009. c. Amber Lynn Costello (27): She went missing in September 2010. d. Megan Waterman (22): She disappeared in June 2010.Additional victims: In April 2011, the remains of six more people were discovered along Ocean Parkway, including:a. Jessica Taylor (20): She had been missing since July 2003. b. Jane Doe #6: Unidentified victim. c. Jane Doe #7: Unidentified victim. d. Jane Doe #8: Unidentified victim.Disappearance of an escort: In March 2012, 22-year-old escort, Shannan Gilbert's remains were finally found in a marshy area near Oak Beach. Her death was ruled as an accidental drowning, but some believe she might have been connected to the killer.Other potential victims: The investigation also probed the possibility of additional victims connected to the Long Island Serial Killer. Among them was an unidentified Asian male found in Nassau County in 2000, and a dismembered female found in 1996 in Manorville, New York, which was also attributed to a potential serial killer. The doors of the investigation were blown open in July of 2023 when New York Architect Rex Heuermann was arrested and alleged to be the man responsible for the murders. As the investigation has rolled on and more has been learned, the scope of the investigation has expanded to several states. On 28 September 2009, around 50,000 people took part in a rally to protest reported plans by military leader Moussa Dadis Camara to stand in the presidential election. It started peacefully, until troops, under Camara's rule entered the stadium and opened fire, killing more than 150 people. Many others were left scarred, and women raped. Asmaou Diallo's son Aly was one of those killed that day, she's been telling Megan Jones how she's been campaigning for justice ever since. Eye-witness accounts brought to life by archive. Witness History is for those fascinated by the past. We take you to the events that have shaped our world through the eyes of the people who were there. With unwavering determination and strength, he carved a path forward, ultimately transforming himself from a struggling boy into a successful architectural designer in the U.S. This deeply moving memoir explores themes of perseverance, trauma, healing, and the transformative power of vision. More than a personal account, Climbing The Hill is a universal story for anyone who has ever fought to rise above their beginnings and believed in something greater beyond the struggle.About The Author Amadou Camara was born in Guinea-Conakry, where his childhood was marked by trauma, hardship, and the kind of silence that often surrounds suffering. In a world where abuse was normalized and children's voices were rarely heard, Amadou endured, but he also dreamed. His memoir is a testament to the strength it takes to survive when survival is not guaranteed, and to rise when the world teaches you to remain small. Arriving in the United States after winning the Diversity Visa Lottery in 2013, Amadou faced a new set of challenges: a foreign land, a new language, and the weight of starting over. But with the same resilience that carried him through his childhood, he built a life from the ground up-one rooted in purpose, healing, and hope. Today, Amadou lives in Madison, Wisconsin with his wife, Oumou, and their miracle daughter, Aicha. He is a professional architectural designer with a five-year degree in architecture, working at Flad Architects, one of the top Architectural companies in the U.S-He brings his passion for the built environment to every project he touches-shaping spaces that heal and reflect dignity, strength, and vision. Amadou wrote this memoir not only to reflect on his own path to healing but to give voice to the countless children still enduring abuse in silence. His message is simple yet profound: no matter where you begin, you have the power to choose how your story continues. Pain may shape us, but it does not define us. With courage, hope, and unshakable will, we can all build a life worth remembering.
