OP loves listening to music and had an awesome system on which they could listen to multiple CD's, but one day the song, Livin' On A Prayer, started playing on its own. So they went to drastic measures by disassembling everything. But the song kept playing... Submit your stories: popmediaagency@gmail.com

On this installment the boys tackle their first (and hopefully not last) offering from the Boss himself, 1984's "Born In The USA". Joining in on the Springsteen discourse is fellow Rampikes member/former guest/actual New Jerseyan Jonathan Sasor. That's the sort of authenticity you can come to expect your trusted pals at Old Men Yell at Cloud. Also, completely unrelated, please just don't fact-check any of our episodes.

But, don't take us too seriously, as we're just a bunch of white dudes reacting to and thinking in real time about the absurdity of the times we are in. What the hell else can we do as the Empire collapses in on itself? We laugh, share our thoughts, and call out bullshit when we see it. Episode description: Co-hosts Mike, Jeff, and Patrick begin this first episode of the Attack & Dethrone GodCast by discussing the realities of living in the United States six months into the Covid-19 pandemic. Do you ever have those days when you feel like you are just, in the words of the great prophet and theologian, Jon Bon Jovi, Livin’ on a Prayer? How we handle the pressure tells us a lot about what we are made of.
What songs would compose the playlist of your life?Plato said over 2000 years ago “Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” This series will use some classic songs over the past fifty years to highlight some of life’s most important lessons. We are told in 1 Timothy, “Pray first.” We hear a lot about offering our “thoughts and prayers.” Yes, prayer is an important part of being a follower of Jesus. But how does prayer shape our lives as disciples?

Now, more than ever, we need an anthem. Graduation season is upon us, Stay-At-Home orders are being extended while others are being lifted... So, what better way to get some of that anxiety, stress and numbness out than with a little Bon Jovi. While on one of her morning runs, DeDe shares how one song basically saved her and she found herself belting out the tunes while crying at the same time. The lyrics to this song ring so true in this current time, and the ladies can't help but share them with all of you. DeDe and Chelsea also show some love for the Graduating Class of 2020 before rounding out the episode with the remaining voice memos from our fellow Tribe members. The Ladies can't thank everyone who contributed enough for opening your heart and sharing it with all of us. We are all forever changed. Until next time, friends, we're halfway there! We are all livin' on a prayer! Keep shining bright! Opening Monologues. Light At the End of the Tunnel. President Trump prepares America to start opening back up again. Since Coronavirus is not a "one size fits all" pandemic, Trump's plan encourages individual state governors to 'call the shots' on their own grand reopenings. Which means -- Fifty Shock Absorbers. Governors will now be subject to "peer pressure" from their fellow governors, along with appropriate pressures from their own state constituents. The incentives line up nicely, a brilliant gradated plan. Federalism at its finest. Meanwhile, Democrat Governor Andrew Cuomo heaps praise upon the Trump Administration for its "phenomenal" and "extraordinary efforts and acts of mobilization" in working with embattled states. America has conducted more "testing" than any other country and has also become the "ventilator king" of the world. No hospital bed shortages. Mortality "models" thankfully dwindling further. We review MIT research on New York City "subways" seeding the virus. The role of mass-transit in pandemics? Of note, no subways in Los Angeles. Plus, our opening salvos against the ongoing bad behavior of Communist China. A frank discussion of rampant "racism" within China itself. Queen Pelosi still blocking PPP preservation funds for small business. Also, we marvel at the sheer wimpitude of CNN bedwetter Brian Stelter -- crying his way through the crisis. But with our airports empty, is anyone even watching CNN? Martin Van Buren. Livin' On A Prayer. First Date. Six Underground. With Listener Calls & Music via Bon Jovi, Gin Lee, The Beatles, Flight of the Conchords, Dwight Yoakam and Sneaker Pimps.

Today’s guest is Howard Snooks, a 70 year old runway model and indie film actor. In 2015 he suffered the unexpected loss of his father, uncle, and sister. In the same year he went through a divorce and emergency hip replacement surgery. When he got home from the hospital, he asked the Universe for a sign. Shortly after this request he read an article about a greater need for Baby Boomer representation in the modelling industry. At the age of 65 he found an agent, secured his first gig, and the rest is history. Bon Jovi's third album Slippery When Wet shot the band to superstardom around the world with hits such as You Give Love A Bad Name, Livin' On A Prayer and Wanted Dead or Alive. Drawing on extensive footage of Bon Jovi in performance this powerful and penetrating film features the impartial and forthright views of a leading team of critics and working musicians.
Legendary songwriter Desmond Child has 70 Top 40 hits to his name, a GRAMMY, and a Songwriters Hall of Fame induction! He’s written huge tunes with Bon Jovi (“Livin’ On A Prayer”), Aerosmith (“Dude (Looks Like A Lady)”), Ricky Martin (“Cup Of Life”), KISS (“I Was Made For Lovin’ You”), Katy Perry (“Waking Up In Vegas”), Joan Jett (“I Hate Myself For Lovin’ You”), and Alice Cooper! And he’s sharing all the stories behind the songs, and explaining how Paul Stanley of KISS was instrumental in pivoting Desmond’s music career from that of bandmember to songwriter and producer. You’ll discover the songs he likes, the ones he’s not too fond of, and the few that find new life in new forms (can you say NFL Sunday Night Football theme?). Plus, Desmond talks about the time he met Michael Jackson, and why they never ended up writing together.

An ancient form of suicide originating in feudal Japan. Many retainers, when met with their master's untimely death, would engage in a soulful rendition of Livin' On A Prayer at some shithole bar and then die from alcohol poisoning later that night.

The definition of arena rock is Bon Jovi's "Livin' on a Prayer," and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Stick around to the end to yell the key change with us, because otherwise we made ourselves hoarse for nothing. In this episode: - Jon Bon Jovi is the Tom Brady of Rock and Roll - No lie, Jon Bovi’s first professional recording was on a Star Wars Christmas album, and yes of course we play it - Bah gawd, the riff is stolen!
