Current Band=CDF (Cashman/Drysdale/Furlo). Forever a Saginaw music maven, Mick Furlo began a string of musical excellence that dates back to the early '80s. His band was the farm-team for many of the rock greats to leave the area, particularly two members of The Verve Pipe. A former club owner, Furlo's golden pipes have become a mid-Michigan touchstone from solo stints, to The Jitters, Savior Machines and his music continues to thrive through today in CDF Band. Born near Detroit, John Cashman has lived around the world and has called Bay City his home for decades. Owner of Cashman's Comics, Cashman is the go-to drummer for the likes of Mirage, Round & The Distant Few, Radio Therapy, Muddy Gumbo, Savior Machines and most recently CDF with Mick Furlo. Cashman has booked artists all over Michigan and continues to write music and perform various styles of music from punk, metal, classic rock, pop, reggae, and more. Get the rest of the story and all about the new album with Part 2 of 2 here at the MMHP.

In part one of a two-part series, we'll trace the marketing of rock all the way back to its origins with Elvis Presley and his wily manager Colonel Tom Parker. We'll tell the story of how the Beatles lost millions by not following Elvis's blueprint, and how the Rolling Stones borrowed a page right out of the books of Madison Avenue to compete against the Fab Four.Plus, what show on marketing rock and roll would be complete without mentioning the biggest marketing machine in the history of rock and roll – KISS.Part Two will begin with the emergence of MTV.It's a fascinating and interesting journey. Pastor Pete teaches from the book of Amos, as we wrap up the Old Testament in our 90-Day Bible series. The theme of this Minor Prophet's book is justice and Pete describes his words to be the very core of who Jesus is and the work he did for us on the cross: “Let justice roll on like a river, righteousness like a never-failing stream!” (Amos 5:24). The cross is the fountain head of God's justice.Scripture referenced: Amos 5:21-24 / 7:12-15 / Micah 6:8-9 / Romans 1:14 / Timothy 6:6-9 / Psalm 51:16-17For 90 Day Bible resources, visit hopechurchrva.com/bible.

Welcome to "Sex, Drugs, and Rock & Roll," a multi-part series where we talk with experts about three topics that often do not get discussed during treatment. To begin with, we're talking about sex and sexuality after cancer, which our participants tell us are very important topics for them but that they struggle to discuss with others. We're dedicating two episodes to approach the subject of Sex and Cancer with two thought leaders who share their experience and the guidance they've given their patients. In Part 1, we chat with Dr. Saketh R. Guntupalli, an associate professor of obstetrics and gynecology and in the Division of Gynecologic Oncology at the University of Colorado, and the coauthor of "Sex and Cancer: Intimacy, Romance, and Love after Diagnosis and Treatment." Dr. Guntupalli offers his experience and perspective as a physician who realized that his patients were in need of support and answers as they sought to establish a new normal in their sex lives after cancer.Dr. Guntupalli's book"Sex and Cancer: Intimacy, Romance, and Love after Diagnosis and Treatment"About ClearityCancer Connections is produced by Clearity, which provides free support and services to people impacted by ovarian cancer. You can learn more about Clearity and the topics we've discussed today by visiting clearity.org. Or, feel free to email us your questions or comments at podcast@clearity.org. Thanks!
Come sit around the campfire for Season 1, Episode 7, Part 2 as I continue my chat with my delicious girlfriend, Natalie Vermiglio as we talk about: “Sex, love and Rock n' Roll baby…!” And the life and desires of 2 salacious females!! How we share how emotions can effect relationships, is it environment or is it astrology driven? How does one experience intimacy? How does one compartmentalize their choice in their lifestyle? What is it like to be a female in the business world and how things are handled behind the scenes for women working and getting respect from those around you? As women how are your experiences affecting your values and the decisions you make and live by. Is it all smoke and mirrors! Are we all just playing a game with one another? Is the conquest to gain confidence and courage? What happens when you gain courage as a woman and come into your own? Does your mindset play into every thought and action you take, what is its cause and effect? How does dating, divorce, acting “one's age”, loving and accepting oneself versus looking for others approval have an affect and what is the boundaries one creates for oneself? Orgasms…there is that word again, why, because they are important to have! How much have you explored in your life, what brings you strength, life after abuse, relationships with self, others? Being defiant, is it a good thing and does it serve you? What are you confronting, what are you running away from, are you willing to explore? You can agree to disagree and possibly be shocked, but you can't argue that Natalie and I are authentic, are fluid with our thoughts and hope this Part 2 inspires you to do and be good with change, because you can depend on change as it is always happening so join me and listen to 2 frank, salacious women talk and see if you like what you hear! I think you'll have a few good laughs while listening, that's for sure! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/felicia-linsky/support
