We're continuing our celebration of the holiday season with the 2005 comedy Just Friends, a movie about the dreaded "Friend Zone" and how women just aren't allowed to have male best friends and go about their business...also it takes place during Christmas. Also also, it is our last episode. Weird one to go out on but this movie's come up a few times throughout the show and it's interesting to track Ryan Reynolds' career. We also read about a movie called Spring Break Lawyer because the early 2000s were a special time. If you've listened to any of this silly show, we appreciate you more than you know. Thanks for hanging with us as we talked about sharks, tried to make sense of bad movies, and drank way too much beer. We'll see you down the line! -Logan Nielsen & Dustin Pixley

Experts are a dime a dozen, but true expertise is hard to come by. In this week's episode, both of our storytellers – who shared their stories at our annual Proton Prom fundraiser this week – struggle with finding the knowledge they seek. We're especially grateful to the Burroughs Wellcome Fund for supporting the event and making this all possible. Part 1: When Zach Weinersmith agrees to create a trivia game, he doesn't realize how hard it is to come up with facts that are both interesting and actually true. Part 2: Concerned about his eyesight, comedian Josh Johnson desperately searches for a good doctor. Zach Weinersmith is a cartoonist, best known for making the comic strip SMBC. He co-authored the NYT bestselling pop science book Soonish, illustrated the NYT bestselling Open Borders. His work has been featured in too many places and society is the worse for it. Josh Johnson is a stand-up, Emmy-nominated writer, performer, and NAACP award-winner from Louisiana by way of Chicago. He is currently a writer on The Daily Show, and is a former writer and performer on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he made his late-night debut. Johnson is Comedy Central's ‘most watched comedian ever' with 40M+ views to date across their platforms. As a stand-up, Johnson performs at clubs, colleges, and festivals around the world. Johnson was named Comedy Central's “Comic to Watch” in 2015, a “New Face” at the Just for Laughs comedy festival in 2016, and “New York's Funniest” in 2018. Comedy Central released Johnson's first hour-long special #(Hashtag) in June 2021, and he taped his second hour-long special at The Bourbon Room in Los Angeles in May 2022, which is set to debut early 2023. Johnson's self-released comedy and music mixtape album Elusive, was described by Vanyaland as “live stand-up observational humor with musical compositions. Both elements wade in and out of political and social waters between the two “arcs” of the multi-genre epic". Johnson also co-hosts two podcasts, The Josh Johnson Show (with fellow stand-up Logan Nielsen) and Hold Up (with The Daily Show colleague Dulcé Sloan). Johnson's other credits include, CONAN (TBS), @Midnight, Kevin Hart's Hart of The City, The New Negroes, and This Week at The Comedy Cellar on Comedy Central. Johnson lives in New York and can be seen performing regularly at The Comedy Cellar. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Logan Nielsen is the co-host and producer of the Josh Johnson Show, a podcast that you can hear just about anywhere. He is also the host of The Nielsen Brothers Podcast along with (duh) his two brothers. He is also a stand up comedian and a writer and a substitute teacher. Like many of our guests, Logan wears many hats and he talks about all of them over the course of our episode. Logan gave me a ton of material to work with over the course of the hour we spoke, from sustaining a traumatic head injury as a teenager to being a divorcee by the time he was 30. We also talk about his current life in Iowa, becoming podcast-famous, and the things that have led him to living in the moment and not putting off personal gratification until some unknown time in the future, which is something that I personally believe in very strongly. This conversation definitely exceeded my expectations, and I'm happy to bring it to you. Here's Logan Nielsen.

For more of Josh Johnson, check out his album I Like You. The Josh Johnson Show- stand up comedian and late night TV writer Josh Johnson for freeform conversations about life, comedy, and politics with his friend and fellow comedian Logan Nielsen. Hopefully it's fun but we make no promises.
Dustin Pixley and Logan Nielsen were on their way to record a new podcast in a remote cabin in the Alaska when tragedy struck. Luckily, they had already watched the 1997 film the Edge to discuss and brought a case of Leinenkugel's new Brewology Pack to help them survive. They also pass the time with some research on bears and going through the career of Bart the Bear. Welcome to FebBEARary!
Writer for Daily Show Josh Johnson (@joshjohnsoncomedy) and touring comedian Logan Nielsen (loganmnielsen) join the podcast to talk about the state of comedy films nowadays with host Brandon M. Prosek (@BrandonProsek.) Are comedy films dying and getting worse? Or are we too nostalgic for classics? Contact us and let us know. Listen to more of Logan and Josh on The Josh Johnson Show available anywhere you listen to podcasts! Host Jessica Kwazz (@JessKwazz) is working on some other things and will return soon! This week, comedian Logan Nielsen joins Jake and Nathan to discuss how to get your lawn the greenest this summer. HA! Kidding. Of COURSE they're talking coronavirus, and all virus-related things in the news. Tune in for a good giggle.
This week, I talk to my good friend, Logan Nielsen, about the album For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) by AC/DC. Have a happy and safe New Year, see you in 2020!This is a Knaveryink podcast.
Toot toot, this train runs on sharks! That's right, Podzooky is back with special guest Logan Nielsen to talk about the shark movie unimaginatively named the Meg with the Kaiju Hollywood bad boys Martin, Luke and Brandon. So yes, it's a great listen and of course at some point we all start doing horrible cockney accents. 5 stars!
I sat down with my younger brother Logan for our second podcast. Logan was my first podcast guest, and we discussed--amongst other things--mental health. In our first podcast, Logan was weeks removed from a very low point, and he talked very candidly about his battle with anxiety and depression. This episode serves as something of a follow-up. We discussed mental health again, and Logan shared a lot of the things he's been doing to manage his mental health. I found our sit down very inspiring. It's my favorite thing I've gotten to do with all the media stuff so far.
I sat down with my younger brother Logan, and we discussed his path to film school and stand up comedy, his ongoing battle with depression and anxiety, and...... Danny Devito. Logan opened up about his ongoing mental health challenges, and he does an incredible job describing what he feels during bouts of crippling anxiety. We discuss creativity, facing life's challenges, and the importance of giving ourselves permission to address our own mental health. Logan and I have often discussed the need for improved mental health resources and supports, as well as the potential benefit to others of giving a voice to individuals in the midst of mental health challenges. I found our conversation to be honest, informative, and ultimately uplifting.
Welcome to Gumshoes & Goblins, a comedy/noir/role-playing/mystery procedural podcast. In this show, we play Dungeons & Dragons as private detectives solving a new case each episode while also stumbling through a game we don't know how to play very well. Basically, it's D&D, meets Law & Order, meets the Three Stooges. Steve Wunderlich and Logan Nielsen are the players wandering through an original world created by game master Caleb Woodley. In this episode, we meet our heroes Vic and Angus as they arrive in the city of Precipice...
Check out this clip from the new podcast Gumshoes & Goblins! It's a comedy role-playing podcast that combines elements of fantasy, noir, and procedural detective shows in a very silly package. Steve Wunderlich and Logan Nielsen play detectives solving a new case every episode and it's all set in an original fantasy world created by game master Caleb Woodley. Basically, it's Dungeons & Dragons meets Law & Order meets the Three Stooges. If that makes sense to you in any way, you should probably check it out! Gumshoes & Goblins premieres May 8th!
*Blasts airhorn again* Mechagodzilla is back! The Hollywood Kaiju Bad Boys got one of their favorite Chicago Comedians, Logan Nielsen, to talk Street Sharks, bad editing and force Steve Ok back into the fray of arguing about the Jolly Green Giant. Whooo boy, this is a good'un!
