This week, we're discussing every album by Tupac Shakur. Or, more accurately, every album by 2Pac and one by Makaveli. It would take us a year to cover all his posthumous albums, so we're sticking with just one. If you've heard of music, then you know 2Pac, plain and simple. But how do we feel about his actual full-length albums? Let's just say this is probably not going to be a very popular episode.Closing track: “How Do U Want It” from All Eyez on Me (1996)Patreonhttps://www.patreon.com/everyalbumeverMerchhttps://pandermonkey.creator-spring.com/Mike's EP:Pander Monkey on Bandcamp, Spotify, Apple,Instagram:Mike @pandermonkeyAlex @everyalbumalexTom @tomosmansoundsHistory Tom's stuff:Music on Spotify, AppleSubstackWebsiteMike's Picks:All Eyez on Me (1996) — Best Album, Personal FavoriteThe Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory (1996) — Worst Album, Least FavoriteAlex's Picks:Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z.
Cathy Scott's biography, in this 3rd edition, remains the seminal account of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur's life and legacy following his still-unsolved murder in Las Vegas. It's been almost 20 years since poet, revolutionary, convict, and movie star, Tupac Amaru Shakur (a.k.a 2Pac, Makaveli, or simply 'pac), was gunned down at age 25 while he sat in traffic with Suge Knight near the Las Vegas Strip following a Mike Tyson fight at MGM Grand. In the new updated and expanded third edition of this acclaimed biography, Las Vegas crime writer Cathy Scott has finally been able to include the previously unpublished chapter featuring the account of that last fateful night from "Big Frank," the rapper's now-deceased personal bodyguard. The raw no-holds-barred narrative, which includes exclusive photo evidence (including of Tupac's autopsy), is the definitive account of the unsolved murder of Tupac Shakur: the many possible motives, the failed investigation, the rap wars, the killing of Biggie Smalls, the Bloods-Crips connection, the Suge Knight and Death Row Records association, and the subsequent fate of numerous principals involved in the aftermath. It is also a sensitive, candid, and insightful account of the contradictory icon who remains not only one of the most influential rappers ever but, with more than 75 million records sold worldwide, he's also one of the best-selling music artists of all time. The music of Tupac Shakur is the legacy of his life. The Killing of Tupac Shakur is the legacy of his death. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement

Welcome back to the Record Report! This week, we're gonna take you back to 1996 with Tupac's first posthumous album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. When this album dropped, it was a very confusing point in time for the music world. It dropped two months after Tupac's death, and it wasn't even with his actual stage name. This was the first (and last) album under the moniker Makaveli, and for many fans, The Don Killuminati started the spreading of rumors that speculated Tupac was alive. However, the project had gems like "Hail Mary" and also began the rapper's musical run in his afterlife. In this episode, we choose our top three tracks, talk about the history surrounding the sound and message of the project, and kind of figure out why this album still resonates to this day for many rap fans young and old. We also talk about the album within the scope of "Dear Mama" and mention what we've been listening to lately. @Yo_Ahki/@VanceB_ Listen to this new episode and previous others on: Apple Podcasts(https://tinyurl.com/jydzz9fk) Spotify (https://tinyurl.com/c3u77hcf) Anchor (https://anchor.fm/recordreport) Follow Record Report Podcast on: Instagram: (@RecordRepPod) Facebook: Facebook.com/RecordReportPodcast Twitter: https://twitter.com/recreppodcast?lang=en #Tupac #2Pac #Makaveli #TheDon Killuminati #California #Baltimore #DeathRow #Outlawz #1996 #LosAngeles #Radio #Podcast

Take trip back to 1996 with us as we break down 2Pac's, Or Makaveli's, The Don Killuminati: 7 Day Theory. This album dropped just after 2Pac's death. It was a darker record with an underground feel. Politics, beef and mystery bleed from this record. We talk all about it. On our 41st podcast, we go into other topics: No Limit Records biting Pac, Dr.Dre's Aftermath, Nas and more! What would the landscape of hip-hop be like if Pac was still around? What did you think about this record? Let us know in the comments! Support the Artist! There is an ever-growing list of people who mysteriously die shortly after threatening the establishment. Below, you'll find a list of some (not all) of them: (starting with the 3 shown in the image above) Gary Web Gary Webb was an investigative journalist who encountered the infamous story connecting CIA involvement to the crack-cocaine epidemic in Los Angeles. While working for the San Jose Mercury News in 1996, Webb wrote about the controversy in a series called Dark Alliance, which was later expanded upon and made into a book. Unfortunately, it probably led to his death too. His death was ruled a suicide, though he was found after being shot twice in the head! In 2014, a movie was released based on Webb's life called Kill the Messenger. Dr. Bradstreet Dr. Bradstreet was a holistic doctor that used a controversial treatment on 1,100 patients and claimed extraordinary success. By using a naturally-occurring substance called GcMAF, Dr. Bradstreet was able to see a significant improvement in 85% of the autistic kids he treated, and 25% of them were completely cured! He claimed an even higher success rate with cancer, with up to 80% of patients being cured. Many people think Dr. Bradstreet's involvement with GcMAF is what got him killed. An informant who wishes to remain anonymous for safety reasons says that Dr. Bradstreet found evidence of nagalase being put into vaccines. Nagalase inhibits the naturally occurring GcMAF in the body from performing its powerful immune system action. Though this is unverifiable, to my knowledge, it certainly raises even more concerns with vaccines. Nagalase is normally produced by cancer cells and viruses, but Dr. Bradstreet was allegedly finding nagalase in the bodies of children, which makes you wonder how children of such young age had such high amounts of nagalase without having cancer or a heavy viral load. The FDA raided Dr. Bradstreet's clinic just days before he was found dead with "self-inflicted gun shot wounds" to the chest. His family strongly feels that there's more to the story because they don't believe he committed suicide, because of the person he was and the details of the gunshot wounds. You can watch an interview with them to hear their side of the story here. This is just one of the many questionable deaths of holistic doctors around that time in 2015. Erin Elizabeth followed the accumulating death toll on her site Health Nut News. 2pac Most people think rapper 2pac was just a thug that died gang-banging. The truth is much more profound and mysterious. 2pac was a passionate, revolutionary-minded thinker on a mission. He read books that generals and Presidents read, because he wanted to think on their level. 2pac was way ahead of his time! Though it's fairly common for people to have heard of the illuminati today because conspiracy theories have gained a lot of traction in recent years, 2pac was talking about killing the illuminati before his alleged death in 1996. I wrote "alleged" death because there are lots of mysterious facts surrounding his death, and not much proof of it. That's why so many people still think he's alive today. In fact, right after he died an album was released under an alias of his called MAKAVELI. The album alone is very mysterious. Why the alias? Why is it spelled in such an odd way that happens to allow the spelling of "I am alive" in it? Why is he on the cross on the cover? Why does it say "killuminati" in the subtitle (kill-illuminati)? In an interview, a reporter asked him where he sees himself in 5 years. 2pac said he sees his self with his own political party. Unfortunately, he didn't live long enough to make it happen. I think this is one of the main reasons 2pac was murdered, if he actually was. He was very charismatic, smart, and famous. He would have definitely been a force to reckon with if he would have lived longer. There are lots of theories of why he was killed.
The Killing of Tupac Shakur is the legacy of his death.Joe Sacco gives his first hand account of what is going on at DNC, uncensored. He describes what is not being reported on Fox, MSNBC or CNN. His first hand account confirms many of the reports were are seeing online. Such as manhandling and physical abuse of Sen Sanders, injuries to the Senators face, walk outs, harassment of Bernie delegates, use of seat fillers, a morning paper ballot vote. Mr Sacco's first hand eye witness accounts differ greatly from what we are seeing and hearing reported in main stream media. This show is part of the Spreaker Prime Network, if you are interested in advertising on this podcast, contact us at https://www.spreaker.com/show/1198501/advertisement
