(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson Chinese Communists arrested 18 pastors over evangelism online Chinese Pastor Ezra Jin and 17 other pastors have been arrested by Chinese Communist authorities on charges of using illegal information networks. Translation? Putting the Gospel message on Zoom is now illegal in China. The pastors are facing three years in prison. A pastor's wife described the situation on the Christian Broadcasting Network. WIFE: “China opened the door for the Western society and then grow their economy. I grew up from that period of time. So, I thought we weren't gonna be put in jail because of our Christianity or our faith.” Chinese officials convicted liberty advocate Jimmy Lai Not surprisingly, those Chinese communists have convicted Hong Kong's pro-liberty advocate, Jimmy Lai, with conspiracy to collude with foreign forces. It's a charge that could put him in prison for life. This was the highest profile case since Hong Kong was turned over to the communists in 1997, and Hong Kong's democratic elections halted in 2020. China to eliminate out-of-pocket expenses for childbirth China is planning to eliminate all out-of-pocket medical costs for childbirth with the hopes of encouraging more births. China's fertility rate is dismal, hovering around 1.0. In fact, Chinese deaths have outnumbered births for three years in a row now. The countries with the lowest fertility rates in the world are Hong Kong, China, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Ukraine, and Chile. Two Muslim men killed 16 Jews in Sydney, Australia On Sunday, two Muslim men, a father and son, have been identified as suspects in the killings of 16 people at a Jewish celebration of Hannukah in Sydney, Australia on Bondi Beach, reports the Associated Press. That's the worst mass shooting in Australia since the Port Arthur massacre of 1996 where 35 people were killed and 23 were injured. Providentially, a bystander of Muslim background, 43-year-old Syrian fruit shop owner, Ahmed Al-Ahmed, happened on the scene. He tackled and disarmed one of the gunmen during the deadly massacre, preventing further carnage. Ahmed was shot in the shoulder and arm while hiding behind a tree after confronting the gunman. Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese is promising “tougher gun laws” in response. Actor Rob Reiner and wife allegedly killed by son Director and actor Rob Reiner and his wife Michele were found dead Sunday, apparent victims of foul play at their home in Los Angeles, reports The L.A. Times. Sadly, Rob Reiner was an atheist, as was his father, Carl Reiner — another famous movie director. Rob Reiner will be best remembered in the political realm for his leftist views, especially in his opposition to California's Proposition 8, and efforts to introduce homosexual marriage to the state and the country. At last report, Rob and Michele's son Nick, age 32, has been taken into custody by the Los Angeles Police Department, charged with the murder of his parents. He has a long history of drug addiction. Exodus 21:15 speaks to this sort of crime, as do Jesus's words in Matthew 15:4: “And he who strikes his father or his mother shall surely be put to death.” Little Sisters of the Poor vs. Obamacare continues After 14 years, Little Sisters of the Poor, comprised of Roman Catholic nuns, continues to object to the Obamacare mandate to provide coverage for abortifacients for their organization. Back on July 8, 2020, the Supreme Court ruled 7–2 in favor of the Little Sisters, upholding federal rules that exempted religious organizations from the contraceptive mandate. But now, Pennsylvania and New Jersey have refused to drop their efforts to take away the Little Sisters' protection in the lower courts. Last August, a rogue federal district court in Philadelphia ruled against the Little Sisters and vacated the religious exemption rules that had protected them. The case is in appeal to the Third Circuit Court. Bill Clinton unresponsive to Congressional subpoena over Epstein GOP House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer announced he will initiate contempt of Congress proceedings against Bill and Hillary Clinton. At issue is the Clintons' decision to ignore the committee's subpoenas issued back in August, in relation to investigations of the Jeffrey Epstein sex trafficking scandal. Epstein visited the White House 17 times in 1993 after Bill Clinton's inauguration. Artificial Intelligence: Time Magazine's “Person of the Year” Time Magazine's Person of the Year goes to Artificial Intelligence or rather, the architects of AI. Spending on Artificial Intelligence development has increased from $40 billion to $400 billion in just the last ten years. Nvidia's stock has increased 60-fold, while Microsoft and Alphabet, Inc. have increased 7-fold over the same timeframe. Kirk Cameron advocates unbiblical theology of annihilationism Actor and Christian celebrity Kirk Cameron suggested in his recent podcast that hell is not forever — a departure from the long-held position of an eternal punishment for those who do not trust Christ, reports The Christian Post. CAMERON: “Eternal judgment or eternal punishment doesn't necessarily mean that we are being tormented and punished forever and ever, every moment for eternity. It means that the punishment we deserve is irreversible. It's permanent; it's eternal. You're dead. You've been destroyed. You have perished. You're gone, and you're never coming back.” This theological position is called annihilationism, a belief that all damned humans and fallen angels – including demons and Satan -- will be totally destroyed and their consciousness extinguished. CAMERON: “I actually think this is a really good argument for annihilationism. Just because the righteous go to eternal life, which is the gift of God, not that the wicked are granted an eternity of punishment. The punishment of the wicked is final. It is irreversible.” Rev. Al Mohler, President of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, called the admission “sad.” And in his words: “The admonition to confess Christ or risk non-existence just doesn't pass the New Testament test, and there is a good reason it doesn't work in a sermon either. The stakes are just too low, and the fires of hell hold no eternal consequence.” At the final judgment, as recorded in Matthew 25: 41-43, Jesus said to those on His left hand: “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.' … And these will go away into everlasting punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.” Imprisoned fathers reunited with daughters at dance And finally, the “God Behind Bars” organization links local churches to prisons, and reunites families, especially children with their incarcerated parents or grandparents. This Christmas season, the organization sponsored its first Father-Daughter Dance at the Angola Louisiana State Penitentiary. Twenty-nine fathers were reunited with their daughters that night, many of whom had not seen their daughters for years — some over a decade. The son was being held in jail in Los Angeles on no bail, the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement on X. The case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney for filing consideration on Tuesday. Reiner, who directed 1980s classics like The Princess Bride and This Is Spinal Tap, was found dead Sunday at his home with his wife, both of whom appeared to have died from stab wounds, NBC News and other outlets reported, citing a source close to the family.3) Shock over a shooting rampage at Brown University over the weekend is giving way to frustration over the lack of video footage and suspects. Authorities in Providence, Rhode Island, said Monday they hadn’t identified any new persons of interest in the shooting that killed two people and injured nine on the Ivy League campus Saturday afternoon. Hollywood actor and director Rob Reiner and his wife were confirmed dead after an apparent double homicide at their home in Los Angeles on Dec. 14. The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) said in a statement that two people were found dead at Reiner's home in the Brentwood neighborhood and that homicide detectives are involved in the investigation.Jimmy Lai, a former newspaper publisher and one of Hong Kong's most outspoken critics of the Chinese Communist Party, has been convicted in a national security trial—a case that has drawn international scrutiny amid Hong Kong's continued erosion of freedoms. Lai, who has pleaded not guilty to all three charges, will be sentenced at a later date. He could face life in prison. He got his bachelor's degree in Justice at UAA. At age 20, Alaska wouldn't hire him because he was too young, so he got his first job in law enforcement with the Los Angeles Police Department. In his amended federal lawsuit, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleges that Sean “Diddy” Combs and his son Justin were involved in a 2022 shooting at Chalice Recording Studio in Los Angeles. Jones claims that during a writers' camp, an argument between Diddy, Justin, and a man identified as “G” escalated in a bathroom, resulting in G being shot in the abdomen and leg. Jones states he found G bleeding on the floor and assisted him until an ambulance arrived. He further alleges that Diddy instructed him to tell police the shooting occurred outside the studio during a drive-by, and that G has since disappeared.These allegations contradict the Los Angeles Police Department's account, which determined the shooting took place outside the studio. Diddy's attorney, Shawn Holley, stated that neither Diddy nor Justin were present during the incident and were unaware of it until afterward. Additionally, an Instagram message from the studio suggested the shooting occurred "half a block away" from Chalice. Authorities in Ventura County, California have dismantled what they called a major theft ring responsible for stealing 10 million dollars’ worth of merchandise from Home Depot—marking the retailer’s largest theft case to date. A joint operation between the Los Angeles Police Department and the Sheriff’s Office has apprehended a burglary ring responsible for nearly 100 break-ins throughout the region. Acting U.S. Attorney Bill Essayli is quoted as saying: “There are no meaningful consequences for their conduct under California State Law, so the federal government- aided by its local law enforcement partners- will step in to make sure these criminals face lengthy prison sentences. Today's operation is the first step in returning the Figueroa Corridor - long know as prostitution haven – back to its residents who have suffered for too long while criminals were allowed to run amok."Multiple articles regarding this incident state that Amaya Armstead, a female, (aka “Lady Duck”) is the case's lead defendant and the de factor leader of the group. She is accused of trafficking a 14-year-old girl. She is also accused of attacking and beating a young girl working for her, holding her down by the hair and kicking and kneeing her, while the young girl screamed she was pregnant. The young female victims were recruited by the Hoover Gang members through social media and personally. Many came from out of state and were seduced into believing they would live a life of luxury and be taken care of. Once they arrived they were drugged and forced to work long hours soliciting clients and performing commercial sext acts on the Figueroa Corridor. Million Kids applauds the efforts to take down these violent gang members who have been allowed to recruit and exploit young girls and operate in broad daylight. Until Federal Government Organizations joined with local law enforcement, it seemed few civic leaders would do what it takes to rescue the girls and prosecute hard core gang members who preyed on the most vulnerable. This seems to be a sex trafficking and money laundering case that deserves to be prosecuted under RICO.

The field of contenders to lead the Fort Worth Police Department as its next chief has been narrowed to four finalists. The finalists are Robert Alldredge, the interim chief of the Fort Worth Police Department; Eddie García, assistant city manager in Austin who retired as Dallas police chief last fall; Vernon Hale, a former Dallas deputy chief who now works as an assistant chief in Prince George's County, Md.; and Emada Tingirides, a deputy chief with the Los Angeles Police Department. In other news, the Trump administration's decision to freeze billions of dollars in education funding will leave Dallas schools with a $22 million gap; President Trump on Tuesday described Texas as the centerpiece in a plan to add Republican U.S. House seats by redrawing congressional boundaries in multiple states. Wringing five more Republican congressional seats from Texas would be a significant help to the party as it tries to preserve its razor-thin House majority; nd three quiet pools of water tucked between highways and neighborhoods along the Trinity River will now honor Dallas' Native American history. In a landmark act of cultural restoration, the Dallas City Council unanimously agreed last month to name these lakes with Native terms proposed by a grassroots intertribal committee. Sergeant Marlon Marrache recently retired from the Los Angeles Police Department after 24 years of service. He now is focused full time on helping agencies and individual officers understand the internal affair process. Marlon's 24 years at LAPD included 12 years of Police Misconduct Investigation, adjudication, and examination experience. Much of his experience comes from when Marlon was assigned to Internal Affairs (IA) in a prosecutorial role, representing the Chief of Police conducting Board of Rights, a unique Tribunal Hearing (the only agency with such a process in the nation). The numerous cases he tried involved “False & Misleading” allegations and termination was at issue. However, Marlon has also been assigned to Officer Representation Section (ORS) defending, representing the rank and file in Skelly Responses and most important, during the administrative process in an OIS or other critical incidents. Marlon ensured IA Investigators were not violating the Peace Officer Bill of Rights Act (POBRA). In 2023, Marlon launched a podcast called The IA GUY A Police Podcast. Marlon interviews guests who have been on all sides of an I.A., from investigators to the subject officers themselves. Further, Marlon provides analysis on critical incidents through the lens of an IA. Here are 3 big things you need to know— One — The man who authorities believe shot two Minnesota lawmakers and their spouses in shootings early Saturday morning, is now in custody. Vance Boelter was taken into custody near a home in Green Isle, Minnesota. Authorities say when police closed in on Boelter in the woods, he surrendered without incident. Two --- Israel unleashed airstrikes across Iran for a third day and threatened even greater force. Also on Sunday, some Iranian missiles evaded Israel's air defenses to strike buildings in the heart of the country. The exchange of fire comes as talks on Iran's nuclear program in Oman between the U.S. and Iran were called off. And number three — More than 500 arrests have been made in Los Angeles in connection with protests over the course of eight days. That's according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The department also noted that a dozen LAPD officers have been injured as well, including three on Saturday.

Los Angeles is in crisis, facing a staggering $1 billion budget deficit thanks to dwindling tax revenues, rising workforce costs and legal settlements. Judgments against the city have skyrocketed, with payouts nearly quadrupling from $91 million to $320 million in just four years. While much of this financial burden stems from lawsuits involving the Los Angeles Police Department, housing discrimination and crumbling infrastructure, the city's broken sidewalks account for a small but growing portion of the pot due to over 4,000 miles of sidewalks in various states of disrepair. On Friday evening, protests over immigration arrests in Los Angeles, California, sparked violent confrontations with federal and local law enforcement that led President Donald Trump to deploy the National Guard. Federal immigration agents wearing riot gear swept several locations near downtown Los Angeles during the day, according to witness videos, leading to the arrest of 45 people. President Trump authorized the deployment of 2,000 National Guard troops to the city on Saturday, over the objections of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass (D) and California Governor Gavin Newsom (D). In his amended federal lawsuit, music producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones alleges that Sean “Diddy” Combs and his son Justin were involved in a 2022 shooting at Chalice Recording Studio in Los Angeles. Jones claims that during a writers' camp, an argument between Diddy, Justin, and a man identified as “G” escalated in a bathroom, resulting in G being shot in the abdomen and leg. Jones states he found G bleeding on the floor and assisted him until an ambulance arrived. He further alleges that Diddy instructed him to tell police the shooting occurred outside the studio during a drive-by, and that G has since disappeared.These allegations contradict the Los Angeles Police Department's account, which determined the shooting took place outside the studio. Diddy's attorney, Shawn Holley, stated that neither Diddy nor Justin were present during the incident and were unaware of it until afterward. Additionally, an Instagram message from the studio suggested the shooting occurred "half a block away" from Chalice. While the Department of Justice is investigating the Los Angeles County Sheriff over delays in issuing concealed carry permits, the Los Angeles Police Department is also taking its sweet time. Los Angeles County District Attorney and Sheriff talk to Dr. Phil about charges against looters and arsonists Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman talks to Dr. Phil about charging 10 individuals in four crimes committed during the devastating wildfires. Nine people are facing felony charges in connection to residential burglaries in the cities of Pacific Palisades and Altadena, and a separate defendant has been charged with arson for intentionally starting a fire in the city of Azusa. “These crimes are appalling and represent a direct attack on our community during a time of unprecedented loss and vulnerability,” District Attorney Hochman said. “Let me be clear: If you exploit this tragedy to prey on victims of these deadly fires, we will find you and we will prosecute you to the fullest extent of the law.” The felony charges were the result of a multi-agency collaboration that underscores the strength of local, state, and federal partnerships. Law enforcement agencies, including the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department; Los Angeles Police Department; Los Angeles County Fire Arson Unit; U.S. Attorney's Office; Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); and Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) collaborated closely with the District Attorney's Office to bring these suspects to justice.
