The world right now is dying on the vine for peace. People are so angry and yelling and threatening and fighting with each other because they don't have any peace. Pastor Ray Bentley says what the world needs now is Jesus. That's his character. That's his essence. That is his name. Everything that Jesus is is peace. So move toward him.
The Bible advises us to watch for Jesus return. Pastor Ray Bentley says we are all eager for that day. People are saying, you know, it has Ray. Is this the end? They're asking me as a pastor. Is this the end? Here's my answer. We have never been so close to the end as we are now.
Refuge and Deliverer for the Christian Believer brings to the table that life is indeed dangerous at times. Lord Redeems brings us to a point where the world today currently exists. People are waiting on the Lord in many areas of the globe. But in the midst of such tribulation, we have hope. Isaiah's Apocalypse describes a world that is literally coming apart at every angle, area, and this falls on absolutely every person on the earth at that time. However, one note to look at here is that the #earth is #defiled under the #inhabitants thereof. The #Curse has #devoured the #earth, Isaiah points out. There is no doubt that what the #prophet saw was unlike anything anyone had seen before. Then came John the Revelator who updated the vision in #Revelation bringing it up to date with what #modernman, who has gained knowledge of secret things, technology, modern weaponry, and weather control to mention a few items. Take #Isaiah, add in #JohnsRevelation, then add a large splash of #technology, #weapons, #science, and man's push for #godhood and you can see where it is going. Crown of Righteousness which is a phrase describing the reward for those individuals who are redeemed, forgiven, and have walked before the Lord in an obedient and purposeful life for Jesus Christ to the glory of our God and Father. There is not a doubt today that the sides of righteousness and unrighteousness meet on the battlefield in the nations of men. They can fight over policies, scripture, jealousies, and much more. In spite of this, we find that Christians today face persecution, murder, jail, and much more for simply being a person that has followed the Lord #JesusChrist and accepted by #faith His #atoningwork on the #cross. In this world the #evil persists and the evil one works to undermine #peoplesfaith, work, ideals, goodness, and much more. In addition, there are people today who believe it is okay to kill Christians. There are entire groups of people who follow this mantra, yet it continues. This week's study, Occupy till I come brings you as a believer into a Holy and Consecrated alliance with both God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ. As we move, walk, testify, live, endure suffering, or face persecution; we are closely abiding with the Lord. Jesus Christ prayed "Father I pray thee to not take them out of the world but to Keep them from the Evil" - John 17:15. Nevertheless, as believers abiding in Christ Jesus and the Father, we face #temptation, #persecution, and even #death. Revelation 12:11 tells us as believers that we "overcame him (Satan) by the #blood of the #Lamb, and by the #word of their #testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the #death." WORD of Truth greets this portion of our 'Occupy Till I Come' study. We look at the Apostle Paul as he unravel' s the "Mystery of His Will" found in the context of Ephesians chapter one, verses nine through fourteen. This chapter is rich as is the rest of this letter to the Ephesians, however we move on. It is no mistake that the Book of Revelation authored by John has a pointed section of the glory of those "redeemed from the earth" found in Revelation chapter fourteen, verse three, but followed by verse four which describes individuals who were "redeemed from among men". As the world today seems to take a deep dive into hatred, debauchery, sin, and revel in the most horrendous sins that men and women can do, we find #Hope. We find the Apostles telling us of the redemption for those who live in the Roman Empire which was very hedonistic. As with Rome, America and the world is facing the fact that the Lord is coming soon. God provided Atonement through His Sons' #vicariousdeath on the #cross and resurrection following it. No doubt, the Lord God and our #SaviorJesusChrist made away for man to be #redeemed from among men on this earth. For not all will be Saved, although the #Lordcommanded all men everywhere to #repent. Thus, the #MysteryofHisWill is carried out in righteousness and triumph for those who are truly #redeemed at this moment in History. In this season as the Church finds itself at a crossroad between 'The Great Commission' -versus- becoming bland and somewhat irrelevant, the tendency for misapplication of Biblical truth increases, and this indeed is problematic. Let's take a deep dive into this needed subject from a Biblical perspective.Yes, the temptation does exist to find new applications to established truths by exploring 'general principles' at the expense of a Kingdom mandate and urgency. We live in troubled and dangerous times. It has been a long time since there have been as many ideas and events in our world causing fear and anxiety as there are today. But one thing, in any event, is clear, and that is the duty of Christians to search more diligently than ever the prophetic Scriptures. Do not be like the Jews at the first advent who were blind to the hand of God and the fulfillment of His purposes in all that was going on in the world. Let us instead remember that the word of prophecy is given to be a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise (2 Peter 1:19). Let us walk in that light. Let us search what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them [the prophets] did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow (1 Peter 1:11). Let us compare prophecies fulfilled with prophecies unfulfilled and attempt to make the one illustrate the other. Let us strive, above all, to obtain clear views of the things we should be expecting, both in the church and the world, before the end comes and time will be no more.
