In Episode 214, we explore Luke 11:5-13 and Jesus' powerful teaching on persistent prayer. Jesus tells a story about a man who goes to his friend's house at midnight needing to borrow three loaves of bread for an unexpected guest. The neighbor is in bed. The door is locked. The family is asleep. Every reason to give up and go home. But the man keeps knocking. And eventually—not out of friendship, but because of the man's shameless persistence—the neighbor gets up and gives him everything he needs. Through guided meditation, discover what Jesus is really teaching here. He's not saying God is like the reluctant neighbor who has to be badgered into responding. He's making the opposite point entirely. If even a grumpy neighbor who is inconvenienced and half asleep will eventually give you what you need because you kept asking—how much more will your heavenly Father, who loves you deeply, who knows your needs before you ask, and who gives good gifts, respond to your persistent prayer? Then Jesus gives three commands—each one more intentional and active than the last. Keep on asking. Keep on seeking. Keep on knocking. Asking is a voice—bringing your need to God in words. Seeking is movement—actively pursuing God and His answers. Knocking is action—pressing forward with intentional, determined faith. Jesus is calling us to a prayer life that doesn't give up, that keeps coming back, keeps pursuing, keeps believing that God hears and God responds. And then He makes the most reassuring promise in all of Scripture about prayer: "For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." Not maybe. Not sometimes. Not for the spiritually elite or the theologically sophisticated. Everyone. This episode explores what persistent prayer looks like in practice and why we stop praying. Maybe you prayed for months and nothing seemed to happen. Maybe you got discouraged by silence. Maybe you started to wonder if God was listening. Maybe you told yourself the prayer was too small or too big or too complicated. Maybe you quietly concluded that God had said no—when really you just got tired of asking. Learn the crucial difference between God saying no and you getting tired of asking. If God hasn't said no, the door is still open. The invitation to keep knocking still stands. Discover how to pick up the prayers you've put down and bring them back to God with shameless persistence and renewed faith. Find the confidence that comes from knowing your Father gives good gifts—that He is not a reluctant neighbor but a loving Father who hears every prayer and responds with wisdom and love. The man at midnight didn't knock once and go home. He kept knocking until the door opened. God hasn't forgotten your prayer. He hasn't moved on. He hasn't stopped listening. Keep asking. Keep seeking. Keep knocking. The door will be opened.

Life doesn't always feel like it's going according to plan — and for the earliest followers of Jesus in Acts 12, that was an understatement. James is killed. Peter is thrown in prison. Herod is winning. And yet, God is still sovereignly at work. In this week's message from our "Welcomed." series, we explore three powerful truths from Acts 12: God is sovereign when life feels like death, God is sovereign in His answers to prayer, and God is sovereign over every earthly authority and power. Whether you're in a season of waiting, grieving an unanswered prayer, or tempted to place your hope in political systems or human solutions, this message is an invitation to trust the One who is truly in charge. The welcome of Jesus doesn't promise a smooth ride — but it does promise that the God of the resurrection is still at work, even when we can't see it.For more information about Integrity Church, visit our website, http://liveintegritychurch.orgConnect with us on social media throughout the week to stay up to date on events and things happening at Integrity!Instagram: @integrity_churchFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/liveintegrity/

We live in a world of many gods, but there is only one true and living God. Our God is the true God. He says of Himself, "I am God, and there is none else." He has told us that we can have assurance of eternal life. He is the true God who hears and answers prayer. Let us love Him, serve Him, and give Him His rightful place in life.
God Answers Prayer that a Fellow Pastor Would be Arrested After spending months in prison for sharing the gospel with Hindus, Pastor Paul's health began to deteriorate. In desperation, he prayed that God would allow another pastor to be arrested and sent to the same prison so they could encourage one another. Four days later, Paul read in the newspaper that a pastor had been arrested. Two weeks after that, the pastor arrived at the prison and brought Paul great encouragement, telling him that his church had been praying for him. With renewed faith, the two pastors prayed together regularly. Other prisoners soon began asking them for prayer, and even prison guards noticed their devotion. When asked what they were doing, the pastors replied that they were praying for the guards as well. Eventually, around 70 prisoners came to them seeking prayer and wanting to learn about Jesus. Today's scripture reference is Matthew 7:7-12.

After months in prison for sharing the gospel with Hindus, Pastor Paul's health was failing. He offered a desperate prayer: he asked God to allow another pastor to be arrested who could come to the prison and encourage Paul. "Lord, arrest one pastor and bring him to be in prison so we can have fellowship." God answered Paul's prayer, and four days later, he read in the newspaper that a pastor had been arrested. Two weeks later, that pastor was with Paul in the prison, and he brought him great encouragement: "My church has been praying for you!" After his fellow pastor arrived to the prison, Paul says his tired faith became, "like concrete." They began to pray together in prison. Soon, other prisoners were asking for prayer. The two pastors would often raise their hands in prayer, claiming spiritual victory. When prison guards asked what they were doing, the two pastors said, "We are praying for you!" The two pastors had the opportunity to pray with 70 other prisoners who came to them asking for prayer and to know more about Jesus. One of those was an American prisoner named Daniel. He went to India on a quest for spiritual enlightenment; inside that Indian prison, Daniel found what he sought—in Christ. You'll also hear how the Lord moved pastor Paul's wife to bring his bail application to the Supreme Court, and how God answered their prayers that a specific judge would hear his case. My best days are many times sleepless nights.God has often made the most resounding impact on His hard-headed slave -me- through sleepless nights wrestling with Him.This delayed episode is just one occasion of God's work on a dull hearer. We will see how dangerous it is to believe we pray primarily to get what we want. We follow Balak and Balaam as they persist in prayer, which is clearly against God's will. Ploy 1: Everyone thinks it's a good idea.Ploy 2: Really distinguished men think it is a good idea.Ploy 3: God's servant will get lots of money if you say yes.Ploy 4: Worship, I will give lots of worship if you only give me this.Ploy 5: Threatening the servant of God. (I get my ploys a little out of order. Lol out loud)Balaam finally comes to his senses, but what time I have wasted praying for stones and snakes dull in learning, the joy of my soul resting in my converse with my gracious Savior. The message explored how God answers prayers, drawing insights from Zechariah 4. It emphasized that God is cultivating a people who will give themselves to prayer, even in times of desperation and uncertainty. The message highlighted three ways God responds to our prayers: through miraculous interventions, inner spiritual witnesses, and by sending His people to act on His behalf.
