The 'mos talk grungey cyber-kid Tommy Doyle, an inscrutable druid cult (The Guardian much?), the extended Strode family, trashy radio talk-shows, a Danny Torrance wannabe, and more. While the ladies take a break for the Holidays, I put together a producer's cut. It's a sort of behind the scenes tale of who they are and what they mean to me. The women of the Cold Case Chronicles are special in more ways than one.
The holidays are approaching and we decided to do a "behind-the-scenes" special episode to share with you. We'll be discussing and giving our thoughts on how the podcast, the guests, and the stories have changed our lives for the better. During this season of reflection and renewal, we take a few moments to look back on the first half of our first season, highlighting some of our favorite moments and to share what we have planned for the future. But we also want to hear from you!If you want to tell us how you've been affected by Hidden Legal Figures, please click this link, leave us a review, and share your story with us!You can also support the show by visiting https://onthearc.net/donate/ and making a donation. We wanted to make this a special gift to our listeners and we hope you enjoy opening it up as much as we enjoyed wrapping it together. Thank you for listening and Happy Holidays from the Hidden Legal Figures podcast family.
In this week's adventure, Magnus ends the Halloween series by, yes, talking about one of the Halloween films (or two of them, from a certain point of view). Yes indeedy, ladies and gentlemen, this week the spotlight shines on the sixth (or fifth, from a certain point of view) entry in the Halloween franchise: The Curse Of Michael Myers. Both the theatrical cut of the film and the producer's cut, to be precise. What's the difference? Which one is best? And does it even matter which one is better since we're talking about The Curse Of Michael Myers here? All those questions and two or three more get answered in this episode. So what are you waiting for? Start listening right now before Michael kills you, kills you to death!

Mark and Adam discuss the producer's cut of Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, and break down the differences between the theatrical cut and producer's cut. Also, they talk laundry, evil driving and convenient stones. Enjoy!
Here's the Producer's Cut of the full Rational Radio show hosted by Alec Hogg on Wednesday, 11 September, 2019. In the lineup: Naspers listing in Amsterdam this morning - commentary from Naspers FD Basil Sgourdos who was there when the bell was rung. More on the debate around Discovery allegedly overstating its assets with SA's financial services icon Kokkie Kooyman of Denker Capital. Investment markets with David Shapiro who praises Naspers but had some very different thoughts about Sasol, Aspen and Old Mutual. Lawyer Michael Bagraim on the tale of three young medical doctors at the Tygerberg Hospital - one of whom was fired and two others suspended - when they retrieved a couple of chairs from the hospital's dump to fix and use in the doctor's tea room. Plus the uplifting story of social entrepreneur Gary Hopkins whose "I Love Coffee" franchise is helping to change prospects for deaf people, one barista at a time.

Here's the Producer's Cut of this week's show featuring: Gavin Montgomery of WoodMcKenzie who shares his insights into the way electric vehicles will take over from internal combustion engines - and how that will impact the price of metals like nickel, cobalt and lithium. Kokkie Kooyman of Denker Capital, a global expert on financial services, applies his mind to Nedbank's retrenchment of 1 500 staff and its travails with the 20% stake in turbulent Ecobank. Nick Binedell, former dean at GIBS and a key player in the Public Private Growth Initiative shares some good news on its progress - and how South Africa has imported a formula from Japan that is showing early success. SA's favourite market commentator David Shapiro applies his mind and experience to the fracas between Old Mutual and its former CEO Peter Moyo which it is now being forced by the courts to re-hire. Star play for the show, former head of SA Revenue Services investigations team Johann van Loggerenberg talks about his new book, Tobacco Wars, which blows the top off an industry wracked by fraud and tax cheating - including at market leader BAT.
Join me and listen along as I watch and comment on the producer's cut of Halloween 6 The Curse of Michael Myers from 1995. This version is rarely seen and often talked about. I think there are elements of it that are better than the theatrical cut. A handful, however, are hard to stomach and led to the reedit. Thanks For watching. Please like and subscribe.
Halloween 666, as it was called in its badass teaser trailer, ended up kind of a mess. Even Paul (Stephen) Rudd couldn't save it. That's what led intrepid renegades to popularize a shadow "Producer's Cut" that long circulated among fans before its proper release on DVD. It's not unlike DMB's mythic "lost" album, The Lillywhite Sessions. We get deep into it, as always. It's Slash Into Me. Artwork by Katie Nee.
This week, as our month-long HALLOWEEN series continues, we're once again joined by guests Myles Griffin and John-Paul Newton to discuss one of the most controversial entries in the entire series, 1995's HALLOWEEN: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS. This entry has long been derided by fans, and had a long history of production woes, resulting in not one, but two separate versions of the film. The infamous Producer's Cut was traded on shoddy bootleg VHS tapes among horror collectors for years before finally being officially released on blu ray a couple of years ago. In this episode, as we get into the behind-the-scenes stories on the film, we'll also examine both of these cuts to determine which (if either) is more worthwhile. Next week, our HALLOWEEN series concludes (sorta!) with HALLOWEEN H20: 20 YEARS LATER. We'd love to hear your thoughts! This is the final Season of Halloween episode, and maybe the last Halloween episode we do (except for Halloween 6 Producer's Cut)! We're talking Halloween 2018, the newest requel that has pretty much everyone in a fervor right now. But what did we think about it? You'll have to listen to find out. We talk about Karen and Allyson Strode, we talk about The Shape's new mask, the score from Carpenter, Carpenter, and Davies, and one thing that really bugs us: how did Michael do so much leg work in the prison? Happy Halloween, everyone. We MAY be back before Halloween is over for one more special episode. Approximate timeline 0:00-15:00 Intro15:00-30:00 Beer talk30:00-end Halloween 2018
The Night he came home! And we sat through 10 of these damn films!!! Words like "bonkers" and "lunacy" are thrown around a lot in this episode because there are just few other adjectives that so appropriately describe this movie. A movie that made Michael Myers the bumbling sidekick in his own franchise. And that is before we even get to the Producer's Cut and it gets all power-of-the-runes on us. We had great green gobs of fun talking about this movie and hope you all enjoy it, too!
It's our Halloween special! Matt and Mike go into Halloween 6 with a fine tooth comb and analyze the difference between the theatrical version and the coveted but now available 666 Producer's cut. Part 6? Technically, but the Halloween series is feeling insecure about its age so here comes a title to cover that up. "The Curse of Michael Myers" proves to be far too true to the PodSlash team. Has the love for Michael begun to dwindle between Adam and Evan? What's the deal between the Producer's Cut and Theatrical Cut? Listen in to find out! Damn this box used to scare me when I would see it in blockbuster back in the day. As a grown up now, I've learned to appreciate the finer things in life, like the Halloween series. For our last FF we decided to do the Producer's cut of Halloween 6. I really enjoy this flick and I hope you do too! P.S. Erik and Brennen did not like this version, and that's why they're lame! HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

With the release of the latest movie in the Halloween franchise, Rob Zombie's Halloween II, the hosts of Now Playing look into Michael Myers' family scrapbook, watching and reviewing all ten Halloween movies. Michael Myers is back in black...or at least with the man in black from the last Halloween movie, and we learn that Michael is cursed by a thorn and controlled by druids...oh I give up, listen to this podcast to find out if the Now Playing hosts can make sense of this movie, or the Producer's Cut alternate release.
